No cryopods on lauch is huge. For me it's a positive thing since I'm all for an authentic survival experience. Easy-mode makes the game boring anyway. Cave running will be a challenge, but as I understand, some of the caves have been looked at, which might mean that you can fit in dinos even without cryopods.

Splitting Steam away from cross play is temporary so they can put out patches faster, once any launch hurdles are taken care of and they get the builds certified and out to all platforms on the same build version they will move to second phase of cross play rollout which is where steam will get merged into the Windows, Xbox, and PS5 servers.

That does sound like those servers in particular could probably see a wipe when that time comes cause I just imagine two tribes built in a similar place and how that would look lol.

I get cryopods only came out with extinction, but making your players wait 6 months for them, servers are going to lag, raising dinos and doing boss fights is going to suck, and pretty much unless you no life the game it's going to be just bad.

I just did the boss fight on abberation. I had a glitch. my entire screen went black and looked like outter space with stars. I could not see the enemy or other things. It was on alpha. The bug remained until the fights end. I had to log out and log back in.

I don't know what happened or how but that was the most stressful time of my life playing ark.

Therizino is one of the best for fiber. Each time it levels up, it also gains harvesting levels

Be sure to apply harvesting levels in 'Delicate' harvesting, and use the tickle attack for fiber

C chomp for berries, which is so-so. Not amazing, but not the worst either
