Personally id like like to see cryopods, i understand the reasoning of not having them but before they came out one of my criticisms of the game was having to walk dinos like rexes and whatnot around the map especially when they got stuck on rocks and trees. I could see it working with significant ai improvement tho

Metal on the other hand, I had one server where I essentially made a Treasury building with 4 floors of industrial forges and vaults just stacking metal has that was the universal currency in that server since it was kind of a Role-Play direction server cluster

Found the level 95 argy. Shot it to try to get it to aggro, it started flying away. Managed to land a second hit, and it finally tranqued. Odd, I thought its torpor will already have gone away by now, but turns out it still had enough torpor to be KO'd in two shots.

if anything, you can tame a tapejara if you are not map jumping. you can shoot from its saddle but sadly only when its mounted on a wall.. would need another player to shoot mid air. if you map hop, go to gen2 and learn the net gun. its a massive OP life saver in taming things

How do I get the lowest possible levels on a Dino on official? Last I played I was taming a r-velo and I punched it until it almost died and healed it probably 6 times. I had the taming effectiveness super low to the point it was only supposed to get one level, however, when it tamed it came out having gained about 40% out of 100%

Yes you can transfer back and forth between all the maps you own. If you are on single player, you upload all your stuff including armor in item, then upload yourself. Log off, then load the map you wish to join and select download character on your "create character" screen. You'll have to make it to an obelisk or drop to get your stuff tho.. downside to it.

How long do servers usually take to get back up? I was playing a few hours ago and suddenly got dc, server disappeared my friend tried to join and he got a text that said the server had coders or something and it still isnt back up.

Personally at this point would be better wait I think since official closing.

Unofficial still stands as far as Wildcard is concerned, but that comes down to the server owners for those that decide to close them to set up on ASA.

If you had Gamepass for PC you could play ASE for free that way.

For those who understand how map making and dino spawns work: why is it that on most of the newer maps (starting from CI all the way to Fjordur) there are lots of dead zones where dinos don't spawn and then some small hot spots where tons of dinos spawn? For example, Fjordur Asgard has large open plains that are mostly empty and boring. Similarly, CI snow biome is mostly lifeless.

Hi! I have a problem with ark crashing every 10-15 mins in singleplayer. It says "unreal engine is exiting due to d3d device being lost". I tried looking for solution but none work, i have drivers up to date. I have 600hours+, came back from two months brake and downloaded ark again but it just doesn't work. Help pls

pretty sure my parachute strat (if you fall off a cliff on a dino jump off and activate parachute) just saved my dino lol. When you're not on a dino they don't take fall damage.

@oblique lantern you can get latest server saves now. I think on survivetheark.com. but i think in order to use them you have to rent a nitrado server. But i could be mistaken

@craggy lark then again whenever they dont delay stuff it usually doesnt come out very well. Take Lost Islands for example. It was good for the first few days but then it started getting really hard to play on with all the lag and glitches. Then again it was also released during an event so that could have also been the cause.

@oblique lantern looks like nitrado is only required for consoles. Should be able to use a regular server for pc

the entirety of gen 1 lunar suffers from a critical bug that makes it near unplayable because any dino rendered near the gas veins will take damage from this, and will damage the player and their dinos even if theyre not even near it. and thats a bug on the scale of an entire biome, theres so many more smaller bugs

many on console will often crash trying to fight rockwell prime as well, teleporting into the arena is a gamble of whether or not your game will load.
