Depends on what you are looking for out of a game! As a farming/collecting sim, it's plenty full enough to play for some time. That being said, there's only beginning plot, holidays are under construction, and loads of dialogue and extra features have yet to be implemented.

I've found lots of fun talking to npcs and picking up trash in the first season thus far but from what I've been told, there's about a year in game of unique content right now and the next stage of plot hasn't been integrated into the game past that first year.

Knowing that, I am having a blast at the current price point

Also note that the price will increase for Full 1.0 Release. If you want to wait for the Full Release to play, you can just purchase it now to save a bit of money (no confirmation on Full Release price yet) and ignore it in your library until then

Since they don't recommend it (same as an integrated gpu) it means that it could work but barely and can stop working as it's not compatible. It's very important to keep to the minimum at least for it to never be an issue.

Quick way to know is check if your graphics card is integrated vs dedicated - devs have stated since EA release game will require a dedicated graphics card to play game reliably
(Integrated ones aren’t powerful enough & if you could play with one update version, new update versions making game bigger can make it unplayable)

If you play with a laptop system those are generally always an integrated graphics card

Iirc it will be looked into later on (not during this early development, probably towards 1.0 release) optimizing game so it can support / be playable on lower end systems - but as is right now it is a BIG game to run & needs the power of a dedicated graphics card to do so

I am deeply, deeply disappointed by the increased requirements. I've been playing and loving the game since late December. I was eagerly looking forward to the new update. But the game is now unplayable for me and will be for the foreseeable future, since I can't afford to replace my computer.

Unfortunately, that's just the nature of early access games, and games that end up with a lot of upgrades and DLC. The more that gets added, the more strenuous it is to run. I had an MSI gaming laptop that was a beast when I bought it, but over the years new games started coming out and suddenly I wasn't far over recommended specs anymore, and games I had been playing, like Planet Zoo and My Time at Sandrock, after updates came out I started hitting just the bottom required specs.

This is only the second major update out of what looks like ten planned major updates. I can guarantee you that the recommended/required specs will be even higher for this game by the time it's done.

I don't play the kinds of games I associate with needing top-end graphics capability. It was not at all clear to me, and apparently to many others, that "early access" meant, not only "there's a lot of content not yet complete and you may encounter bugs and crashes" but also "unless you have a powerful computer the game is just going to stop being playable for you." I wouldn't have bothered to get it if I'd known that was the case. I don't think I'm alone in that, which is why this feels like a bait-and-switch.

It's not just early access games, though, it's any living game. Just be aware that ANY game you play where you are only hitting required specs, or are lower in the spec range, if it's a living game, there will most likely come a time where you can't play it. The more updates/DLC/expansions a game has, the harder it is going to be to run. I had to bite the bullet late last year and say goodbye to my gaming laptop and get an actual desktop that I can upgrade through the years to keep up with the games I play.

EverQuest, Planet Zoo, Sims, none of these games have the same specs now as when they came out, because things are always being added. It's just something to be aware of when playing games that grow

This update, and all future updates, are now content focused & as such are heavily expanding the game

Completing the turtle's requests are the only way to progress underwater in 0.3, yes. There are three in total - one will ask for a bronze large milk; the other two will ask for a crop grown during the season you are in, one of which will be bronze quality (e.g., in spring, one will ask for a cucumber, one will ask for a bronze potato).

There is currently a testing phase in the Beta branch for removing the turtles as progress blockers. Whether this will carry forward to 0.4 yet is unknown.

If you are desperate for silver kelp, you can buy it from the lab. It's not the cheapest option, but it's an option.

Mostly the hole to go down is near the location where you came first. Just try to approach and destroy the rocks near you once you arrived. If still not helping, can craft rope and put the rope on the ground but it takes lot of fiber, I honestly rarely use it (just one time to testify)

Each gem/fossil/artifact has a different set value for enchant points (either 20/35/50/70/100) 100 points total needed to do an enchant - my guess would be that maybe you haven’t reached 100 points for enchanting with the item(s) you brought?

Iirc the ‘enchant’ is done via main page - the right hand side only shows things once you’ve clicked the ‘enchant’

So the UI of enchanting, once you’ve got 100 points reached, below the point total should pop up an ‘enchant tool’ button
Clicking that would then prompt a new enchant popping on right hand side, either going to an empty enchant slot or prompting replacing if slots full (or levelling up if same enchant)

That’s a way to honor the dead, it’s not an altar to the goddess. The pop up when you inspect it says it looks incomplete, so there’s probably some quest that will be implemented down the line to fix it up. But there’s nothing to do now.

If you meant a different cemetery than the town one, nothing to do in mid forest either. There’s a ghost to interact with though.

Most struggling with energy but I do think it's a little hard to get to everywhere on the island in a day I can't remember if there is a toggle for how fast the days are

there for sure is- it's in your settings on the first page-
def slow the game down

Option 2 is wemod- which is a a trainer mod- it is free- and while mods aren't offically supported- the dev team said "play how you want just dont report bugs on wemod files"

then you can fully pause time and really get a feel for how you want to play

i've done spring probably 100 times now- just getting a feel- playing with and without wemod- like if you want to easy mod your game to get used to it- use wemod (just dont pay them. no reason to)

make sure you hit trash cans cuz they have bugs and fish and forage items in there

It works, you just need to meet the requirements for the heart event. It’s not exactly a quest, more a “quest” to trigger heart event

You need to have triggered all the preceding events for Jim, have no other shack events active since it doesn’t play well with other events, have the salmon, it has to be a sunny day, and you need to enter the shack at the designated time. It won’t trigger if you get there early

There’s a bug. It seems to disappear with cooking. If you haven’t saved then you can just reload the day. Otherwise, the games are being wiped in 2 weeks so so other stuff to make money until then.

@unique sparrow hey for your feedback- you'll get a similar option once you finish the advanced altar- it's called the warp sesajen

you'll eat it wherever you are and the map opens and you can teleport
