Early on, we had the 5th year anniversary outfit with the number 5 on your Sky kid's tummy, and we had the new blue 5th anniversary cape that BOTH seemed to be ticket rewards for super cheap...
I recently watched a Nastymold YouTube clip and am now confused on something... This new cape now seems to act a lot similar to the new art book (My bro got that, and holy heckers is it neat!), but the cape looked to be $14... Is that true? Are there two capes? I'm confused...

(Main reason I ask, is because I REALLY liked how the shirt/shorts combo looked with the 5th anniversary cape, but I'm broke at the mid it really does cost $14...

With the number of testers that have reported it (and the fact that it prevents Seasonal Quest progression), they definitely haven't forgotten about it! Some bugs are simply more stubborn than others, and need some extra time to be scrubbed out of the code

given that there's a chance some bugs may not rise in live

what if we could have that old harsher sound for the darker cello and keep the new more balanced sound for the lighter cello?
..or have the sound of the 2 cellos differ in some other way..

like the Sanctuary handpan and the Triumph handpan.. both handpans, totally different sound

Yeah, lighting strangers or offering friendship candles causes it - but you might need to remove your video because it gives attention to hackers and that's against the rules

Well other items that cost regular candles in guide's trees (except for collab guides) have stuck around after seasons so far but Cellist is unique since they're technically not the guide. I think it's likely they'll stay for both the guide and Cellist but we can't know for sure right now unless the devs say something officially. ^_^;

The duets season is taking place in aviary village. When you enter aviary, there is a cave to your right with a waterfall. (Near the enchantment spell shop) You ride on the boat to enter the season area. There are no spirits this season, (besides in the quests) only mannequins that are in the seasonal area in the room behind the circular stage.

Only the mask was mentioned in the patch notes as staying after the season but that’s probably due to the fact the cello and crown are part of the .5 update.

i do not know if i'm at the right place to ask, considering it's already in live, but i figured i would ask here since it's a discussion in the beta-screenshots-video channel. regarding the wireframe cape for the anniversary. does it gives access to the disco area? If so doesn't that mean it also gives access to all the temporary special capes on display there?

no, as stated in the live patch notes, it doesn't include the access to the secret area (aka the office)
neither will the office retain its anniversary overlay, so no disco roof and no spells

I found another error. Actually, there are 2 of them. The first one is that it always says daily tasks are completed and it always gives candles. The second one is that it gives an error when someone wants to unlock my friendship locks with a candle.

I think this is the best explanation. I got it right after that. I remember I was able to do the quest but then I got that one bug where I didn't really complete it so I can't keep doing season quests bc I'm stuck there. But the red dot has always been there

I did that quest almost as soon as it rolled out for me, ignited the husk, freed the cellist and nothing else happened, but when I clicked ❗from guide spirit's friendship tree, it showed "Completed" magically. So I'm not stuck at quest 3, fortunately

Ik that’s a known issue, but it’s like some players actively seek me out in order to light my candle, following me around almost like a bot/like an Npc holding my hand. It’s very freaky and I want to know if it’s just me or if people are purposely doing that to give other people a server error

I’ve been doing them everyday! The only thing that can happen is that you won’t be able to retrieve your candle / add it to your account but you can test out the new quests without issue

Some players in Beta are very insistent about lighting candles to see what you're wearing - they aren't necessarily malicious, just very curious / nosy. It's very likely that some of them don't even realize that lighting candles causes the server errors (unfortunately, not all testers pay attention to #beta-known-issues or #beta-announcements ).

It's not a perfect solution, but you can temporarily turn on airplane mode on your device to force a split from anyone who's making you uncomfortable. (I often do this when I run into players who won't listen to a polite no.) Hopefully this bug gets solved soon, though, for everyone's sake

I honestly think it may had been beta specific bc some people mentioned that they could complete the quest on their alts or moth accounts simply bc they didn't start doing it when it was in a buggy build :o that's my theory

If it persists then it could be a difficult beta specific bug (like how deer mask antler, once becoming a bundle, one who already got the antler combo can't use the mask at all)

Do you remember when this season ended just a few days into it? At that time, my SCs turned into white candles. During that time, from the beginning of the season to the first end, my friend had not been online, and she started this exploration season after that. She did not experience that transition, so her SCs turned into white candles during today's transformation. I think, maybe it is because of this reason that our SCs can't become white candles again.

Many players (like myself) were able to complete quest 3 if we hadn’t started it during the bugged build that others did, so it would seem to be a beta specific bug that it can’t be fixed if you started the quest in the bugged build.

it did work fine during my bugged build but it crashed once it reached the cutscene after it ended and I didn’t bother trying to complete it again after that cuz I was tired of the incessant crashing and bugs 😔

@ember ingot That's one of the reasons why we really try to remind people that beta isn't a replacement for live, and it's not an early access version of the game.

Like I said in the post that Sof linked to, I know it's disappointing when beta does weird things that can sometimes make a cosmetic inaccessible. But we REALLY rely on feedback early in the process. If there's a cosmetic you really really want, the place to get it is live.
