But!! I think they would look way better if they had something similar to the fairy wings going on!! Like at the top of the cape, it's transparent n sparkly, and as it goes down, it gets more color until it's opaque (and still sparkly) at the bottom

I'm not a fan of the ultimate hair, but I do like all the other hair styles ^^ I can in a way find something to like about all the capes but I think that the green cape is putting it nicely not appealing at all. Though I'm pretty sure these are just placeholders for the capes and they may add some transparency later on . I'm still gonna get the pass either way-

First time I tried the quest it yeeted me too, then I managed to get on the jellyfishes without tapping the prompt button, my best advice is to not move at all while in the jellies, they seem very sensitive

Even if it doesn’t happen every build, the point still stands—nothing in beta is final, and making assertions that something is Going To Happen because it was that way in beta sets people up for disappointment or ends up misleading a bunch of us even when we’ve been told clearly in posts that nothing in beta is final

The demand to change IAP to IGC was well received, but now IAP prices are hidden from beta, so I don't know if the demand for a price cut will be accepted well. Because of hidden prices, people naturally give feedback mainly on other issues, so feedback on prices may be disprioritized.

I’ve been in the community for over four years. TGC folks have and still do change things in the game without “riots.” I think though that there will always be discontent over how TGC generates revenue through the game, even if they try to stick with The best way to avoid criticism that something is too expensive is to make everything free (though this isn’t realistic without the studio going out of business ). Or, alternately, to do like Animal Crossing and charge $60+ up front, though by default that is a significant block for f2p people, and idk anyone browsing the App Store or Google Play who would drop even $10 to download the game—expectations for mobile games pretty much make that a nonstarter.

It’s a conundrum that I’ve seen TGC try to grapple in different ways since I started playing in 2018. Deciding to make the game f2p with IAP instead of charging upfront for everyone. Charging for extra seasonal cosmetics while making seasonal content free to everyone. Adding IGC items to events. Offering IP-bound collaboration items for IGC instead of as IAP (the Little Prince pants). Adding items that are for charity. Not monetizing hearts or AC. Avoiding mobile gacha tactics (which, yes, we do get some folks in the community asking for).

Sometimes these different approaches hit a note that resonates well with many people, sometimes with live players but not beta testers, and sometimes with few people.

Anyway, that’s a text wall. TGC can’t necessarily act on all feedback, and can’t reply to our individual posts. Even if they could, no single one of us can represent millions of players. But personally I still add my 2 cents to the feedback channels because they become a data point, maybe for the moment, maybe for the future.

Accident, they get sent to the default cordinates or whatever people call that. If you place in home for example, it will be sent to the constelation stone, where the recharge fire is.

This why I think a PC port of sky is being delayed (not said literally but rather that there haven't been more news from what I've seen), afaik PC has it far easier to mod games as well as sharing the mods, balancing fan made works and making sure they're compatible is already a lot, now add that, well, mods can do just about ANYTHING and in a game that's focused on iaps as well as community it's gonna be hard to regulate.

Sure one might just mod in a cosmetic but who's to say there won't be people trying to mod the game for their advantage and exploit it.

I'm also a player, and frankly I would not like to see a modding community for Sky. I've done modding for Journey and it's super fun, but modding in Journey is a solo experience, and at most you harm one other player (you can make the other player's game perform very badly), not dozens or hundreds in addition to causing disruptions in the IGC and IAP economies of the game. Sky is generally a safe and friendly place, but modding allows room for content that's harmful in many different ways. Even making a modded cosmetic takes value out of the game by removing control of something that TGC rightly controls monetization of.

On a philosophical note, I like the way Sky gives you some but not all control over your avatar's appearance. I personally don't want to be bogged down in designing a face in Sky, there are plenty of games I can do that in, and I am less interested in those for good reasons.

Yet there are iaps and ultimate gifts that players who stop playing will definetly miss and they will not return any time soon and so these players are ultimately being penalized indirectly even if it is their choice to play or not, or to even care. The game contains factors of exclusivity and as much as the devs probably dont like that as long as ultimate gifts and certain iaps dont return this factor will be a part of the game for as long as the issue isn't addressed.

reading over this and this is also how i feel with the change in how hide n seek works, i didn't see it in the patch notes so i dont know if its a bug or intentional, but like my favorite thing about hide n seek before was using emotes while hiding, sitting while hiding, literally doing anything that isnt only standing there waiting to be found, it was fun to use emotes to try to hide in funny or ways to make it a little harder to find you.
but now with the update, as soon as the timer hits 0 for the hider, you cant use anything on the emote or stance/calls menu, you cant even sit 😭

Me and one of my closest friends only communicate with emotes in-game, as we’ve yet to unlock chat we each other. Long-story-short though, we used to love playing hide and seek while using various emotes, not only to communicate with each other, but also to make comedic scenarios, such as:
Shushing if the seeker gets near, and can clearly see where we’re hiding
Or, posing like a statue on top of a pillar, and hiding in plain sight, then moving to another pillar when the seeker isn’t looking

I assume they made this change for a purpose, but still, these goofy hide and seek moments are no longer possible unless they let us emote while hiding again, and I’ll definitely miss them until then

Regardless of anything that might be visible in a beta build, "don't know yet" is always the correct answer for what season items require a season pass to unlock—even once public testing is done for the first half the season, we may need to adjust item placement before the official, final version goes live.

And the butterfly cape.. I think they're trying to make it look like the wings aurora has on one of her album covers, but it just doesn't look that great to me. I love that it's transparent, but for an ult (probably) I'd honestly expect a bit more. This looks like something 5 year old me would wear to a birthday party of a friend or something like this jelly, plastic toy wings or something. Yikes. Your edit strays quite far from what tgc is aiming for (I think), but I certainly do love the idea!

The runaway pants fitted so well with the cat cape before they turned it into a scarf. The lavender color was actually very pretty and now it looks too washed out. Previous color was actually more closer to the pants aurora wore, maybe a tad more in the direction of pastel. It's too bright now

I really like the scarf cape, but I wish it was a lighter colour or even white like someone edited before, I also like the shade of blue chosen for the round cape but it's kinda basic in shape and I miss the folded collar. The green cape is a weird kinda shape, like they tried to make it regal but it looks strange and is too stiff and the orange/yellow one looks like another cheese cape, aside from the scarf one they all look like they're made out of styrofoam so I'm hoping we get some more detail to them so they look less basic. I love the butterfly cape so much, I don't mind that it's wonky cause it adds to the kiddy feel and since we're supposed to be children of the light I just think it's cool to see something child like and cute like that, kinda how I felt with the anniversary crown it was new to see something that you imagine a child would indeed wear

It shouldn't, but I'm on iOS so idk if android has a different set up, but basically you link your main account to one login method like Google account or Facebook, etc. then log out and use the local account sign in method at the bottom of the start (water) screen

I'm still sad that the current version of the high note hurts my ears, and it's simplified to the pronunciation of "Ahh".
The first version was personally most comfortable to listen to and sounded most aesthetically, naturally.😢

The stadium looks extremely bare, they removed a lot.. slowly not feeling the upcoming season anymore.. from the inst., capes, other items and additions in stadium, it’s not giving me the hype it gave before.. i hope it improves some more, there are a lot of great suggestions especially with the capes designs. 🙏
