Speaking of out of bounds, I was telling a former friend who didn't know about Sky how an uber was helping me get to PNR by going out of bounds in Eden and flying up to it using the clouds. They then proposed a sort of horrorish anti-OOB thing to keep people from cheesing their way through Eden in the form of a giant octopus (because octopi are cool) hidden under the map. If you clipped out of bounds and stayed there too long, it would start to wake up, and once it wakes up completely a tentacle suddenly zooms up from out of nowhere and slaps you back into bounds as if to tell you "Nuh-uh, you're doing this the intended way buddy."

It was definitely an interesting idea, though I feel like TGC keeps OOB areas in on purpose as a reward for players, like with the penguin model out of bounds in the Village Theater. Kinda like a "Hey, you found a cool secret/a way to get into this hard to access place! Great job!"

And sure, the Eden OOB is more convenient, but it can be hard to pull off right. I know there's been a few times where I attempted to use it as a shortcut to PNR back when I wasn't as good at traversing Eden but got stuck on a ridge thanks to windwalls and had to go home to try again. So in that case it's also "You managed to get in here, but can you get through here?" Sky has always been about the cycle of kindness, helping someone so that they can one day help someone else. A lot of games, especially online multiplayer ones, aren't like that. Many online games are just looty-shooty fight everyone and everything and feel awesome and cool at the end of it, and if another player is mean to them they can retaliate in some shape or form. So I feel like people who are more used to that enter Sky expecting everyone to just help them because they're new without question, even if they act rude and insulting to other players. Except we absolutely do not have to put up with rude players, even if they're moths. And they can't really do all that much about that, so all they can do is get mad. The nasty ones will get weeded out eventually (hopefully once they get bored because Sky isn't high-octane action), and those who are left can learn how things work in peace and start making friends.

I get that, and sometimes if someone’s with a group I’ll stand on the edge of the group if I’ve just arrived and wave and blow a kiss. So I'd like to know if it is me or others feeling like you stopped being nice in sky including socialising, because days ago i tried to have a conversation with a moth because they are very nice and cute i suppose and i brought chairs and then 2 chibi couples were placing items and doing flips on us until i got annoyed And the moth left and so i politely ask them with "May i help you?" And the other spoke some Japanese (I don't understand Japanese) and just ignored me Which i just so annoyed and upset that players aren't being nice anymore when they literally think they are the coolest Before they played sky before i did it's really giving me the worst feeling Just like Roblox and i did quit Roblox for that reason and moved to sky and here i slowly see that sky will slowly become the same as Roblox, A community full of toxic people and annoy you when you have conversations with strangers and get rejected because I'm poor or still a moth and I'm feeling upset whenever i remember that day when the couple intentionally acted rude to be honest

From my experience, getting moths to sit down and chat is near impossible. And also a surprising amount of people don't seem to know about the translate option. Yeah though, if anyone is rude to me it's usually the couples.

Literally today already, I was at the 4 person door in vault, second floor. Three people, including me, waiting to open it... I watched a chibi run up, look at us, then chibi fall through the stairs instead of helping.

i stopped socializing because of the rude people i saw being talked about over the years, i got lucky during prophecy with my old group of friends, but if its not on discord i avoid conversations

its just really hard to predict how someone will act if i dont know anything about them first, so i end up falling onto stereotypes (like the chibi or moth stereotypes for example) as something to latch onto, which leads to bad stuff happening

i want to socialize, its just getting really hard with all of the horror stories i keep hearing about it

From my experiences with this game... The nice moments with people far outnumber the bad. It's just easier for the bad moments to stick out when this is meant to be a friendly game.

I promise, not all of us are like that. Some players are definitely jerks to anyone they believe is lesser than them, but I find that for the most part the playerbase is kind. A few weeks ago I went AFK by accident in Wasteland after attempting to go home but got hit by crabs which knocked me out of the animation and I didn't notice until I started losing WL. But some kind strangers saved me and grabbed my WL before it could be destroyed.
