At least some of us can at least go into lobbies for the realms, and I do get what both of you are saying.
However, at least in tgc's defense, they're addressing the problem and actively working towards it. Some developers could take at least weeks to even acknowledge it, so the fact they're starting right away? Good!

For now, at least until the crashes are fixed, we can use guides to help with them and I'm sure some sort of apology will be issued by the company. It's not all bad, just a bit strenuous on players patience aha

For now I'd advise anyone that is affected by the current crashes (or the past black screen bug) to get in touch with support as well as share some constructive feedback in #live-feedback if you haven't already. Sadly all players can do now is wait for a proper fix

Mali is not the type of phone you have. it's the GPU of your phone. you can check it by googling your phone specs. i have a galaxy a50s but the GPU is Mali-G72

yeah i think mine isnt as bad than some ppl i've seen bc i managed to do almost full candle run by applying some of the tips and tricks others have posted. didn't miss a seasonal candle either but it took many tries and quite a long time

The issue stems from updates to the rendering part of their engine. It actually is your device. The sad truth is most manufacturers will not update or debug updates to the Vulkan driver that handles rendering requests on their budget to mid range devices. I would bet a good sum of money if you installed an official Google DSU on your device (if it even supports it... Manufacturers being in charge of what code they add to their custom OS, you might not have DSU availability) you would have no issues playing Sky. https://developer.android.com/topic/dsu

Your phone is missing the updated Vulkan API calls Sky is using. Newer versions of Android should be on Vulkan 1.1.128, but as stated earlier, some manufacturers cut costs on development for a higher profit margin. Imho, Sky should stop supporting Vulkan 1.0.3 due to these issues, but sadly can't as we see a lot of Android manufacturers don't care to keep their devices updated properly.

For an example how old 1.0.3 is, it released in Feb 2016. That's a really old driver for your phone to have.

Hello! So, i have been playing sky a lot recently and got into the game a few days ago on switch. I remembered that long story short, i have a google play gift card but i play on switch and i want to send hearts and get the pass for 2 friends to get it on switch. But it shows that its not compatible for my device. I looked it up and saw its a glitch. And to fix it i have to clear cache and clear all storage data and resart my phone. But it says clearing all storage data permanently deletes all files and the app. So, am i supposed to redownload the app or what?

Why are we struggling to try and do daily tasks in this way? We should be funded with our missing candles its impossible. No one has time for 5 hours of constant crashing. Its really spoilt the season. Will we receive our missing candles?

I think its best not to jump to conclusions for the time being, as tgc is a fairly small company trying to fix a fairly large-scale issue. The crashing won't be fixed immediately

Someone was asking why they see their device "not compatible" in playstore, their device probably not meeting the requirements to install Sky. It wasn't addressed for the current crashing issue

Guys if you want to enter Cave of Prophecies and do trials, don't fly toward the entrance with stairs. Instead go home and use return shrine, you will spawn inside the cave. You can do Earth, Air and Fire, but no Water as it will make your phone crash.

Mali G52 MP2 seems not great for sky. Get adreno GPU less issues. I don't know if it's actually compatible but i wouldn't take it if Sky is priority

It could just be because of the wind walls and stuff that are in front of the Eden mountain. If you actually try to walk or fly towards it, once you get within a certain area the framerate drops dramatically and it lags on pretty much all devices

I have a life hack that maybe save some time for Android users. Just found out minutes ago.

You need a friend with whom you have the piggy unlocked. Every time you enter a "dangerous" area (where the game might crash), you look down and try not to move the camera too much. For example in the sanctuary. Ask your friend if he can get close to the bells and as fast as you see or hear the music in the background, move the camera down. I also tried it with Valley and Wasteland. I did my cr perfectly.

Oh, and you have to be in piggy the WHOLE time. Don't scare if you see the screen a little laggy. It's okay

brook area (if you're not careful. just dont look at the wide view, point your camera to the ground or back, but bridge not affected)
2 race: if you want, tp to someone with the gates opened
graveyard: the end areas, respect and the black cape lady ( as long as you dont turn your camera back, it wont try to load the whole area at once)

It's pinned by Sky staff Ktjn in #general-sky-discussion that they are working hard on fixing it.
The main issue - az Uzephi pointed out - is that some manufacturers and Samsung Exynos chipsets (regardless they support) didn't update vulkan renderer drivers correctly. Exactly these phones have issues now and as stated most of the android phones work well and the number of devices affected are way below the threshold of rolling back. (Regardless affected players are more active of course) Therefore please report as a bug and wait positively, they are working on it!❤️
