I believe that 60FPS is only available as for now on iOs devices, especially the tablets. It's also available on the switch, but not on Android, and most likely never on Android phones

This is most likely due to some Android phones not being able to comprehend 60FPS without crashing or overly overheating, unlike IOs devices, in which will overheat of course but won't crash immediately most of the time

60 fps is available for Android. The pins has an outdated list of 60 fps capable GPUs. Essentially, only high end Android devices are capable of 60 fps. Xiaomi mi 10T is capable of 60 fps. It has a flagship chipset in it.

As previously discussed by Android enthusiasts and experts here it's very likely the manufacturer of your phone model didn't disclose its specifics correctly to Google. It can happen to any brands but more common with Chinese brands.

Google has also updated their CTS protocols so quite a few phones started failing safetynet. I would suggest clearing play store data and rebooting your phone. If Sky still doesn't show up, search the play store for a "safetynet check" app and make sure you're passing.

Drifting has been a problem for me since my first installation during season of Assembly, it still happens without prompt, and there's no known way for me to fix it that I found. The joystick will still change directions if I force it to, but the moment I release it it moves on its own. This causes problems especially in places like ||Eden||, and overall just in general. Google has been making changes to their Compatibility Test Suite (Safetynet) and quite a few models have had false fails. Sky requires a CTS certified device, so if you fail safetynet/CTS, it will show up as incompatible.

Sky devs might extend list of required hardware features in Android manifest in recent updates. A year ago I successfully run beta on ancient Redmi 3S. Unfortunately, I don't have it around right now to test it once more.

Sky devs know, but they are unlikely to share. 64bit SOC would be a hard requirement because game executes code which is specifically compiled for 64bit SOCs. Supporting 32/64 SOCs together might be expensive for TGC, not to mention that 32bit hard limits RAM an app could use to 2GB, which is way low for such a game as Sky.

I've run a research on the subject. I've compared beta (173766), live (172143, 170905, 155436) builds. All of them has no difference in hardware-backed features required set of

Even a decent mid-range Android doesn't have that issue. My Pixel 3a with a Snapdragon 670 (Adreno 616) doesn't have areas that go down in quality at all. Now if you're running a low end phone like a Samsung Galaxy A12 (Mali-G71 MP2), that thing will drop quality due to it having 1/3 the power of a 400 USD phone from two years ago.

Best way to avoid overheating is making sure you have a device that supports Battery Idle mode and just keep it fully charged. The battery won't be used and the phone will pull power from the wall outlet. I know Pixels and OnePlus devices support Battery Idle mode.

The reason for this is because Dolby Atmos is enabled in full force while the recording software is active. They're supposedly a feature in Samsung devices where games could use Dolby Atmos but it doesn't seem to work fully. Every other game especially music based games if you turn on the screen recorder you will hear the enhanced audio quality because it's activating Dolby Atmos.

Samsung J series phones are 32 bit. They cannot run Sky. There is no way to "make it compatible" sadly. Samsung cheaped out on development costs and decided to give their budget phones a 32 bit OS instead of a 64 bit OS.

The STAR pins are surrounded by metal making their effective range a lot shorter than other NFC devices. Please be sure you don't have a phone case on when trying to scan and have the star symbol on the PIN directly over your NFC sensor.

Technically, Adreno 640 has 60fps support in Sky but I remember Uzephi mentioned before, something along the line of "if your device isn't in the list of their reference of 60fps compatibility, it would be best to file a bug report for it to grab their attention to the issue"

Eg G76 MC10 can run sky at 60fps

But Mali G76 MC3 won't run at 60

I think the Vulkan API has better performance than it OpenGL ES. There are in fact many other games that support Vulkan. Ark Survival Evolved (assuming anyone even plays that on mobile) is one of them.

There's also a new feature in phone's these days called "game driver" usually found in the developers options. I don't remember the specifics but I know one of them will enable a bridge that will convert OpenGL to Vulkan instructions to increase performance.

For that I can tell you that the UI runs on OpenGL ES 3.1 and the in-game graphics the "3D" part runs on Vulkan.

It could be EASILY implemented. AudioManager call (AudioManager.isMusicActive) that is used by apps to know when the user is playing any media that has sound in it, like songs or videos, so that they won't interrupt your listening with notification sounds.

I think it might be one of the only chipsets that would have a CPU bottleneck in Sky.

You do have to make sure the manufacturer didn't cheap out and made the OS 32 bit. Since it's a low end, budget CPU most manufacturers might cut costs and not make it 64 bit.

Why "no UI record" is not a thing on android because iOS and Android has a different way to handle the recording. When you record Sky on iOS with built in recording tool they use "Layers" to record clean, no UI video. Sky works by having Vulkan that render's the game's world (Your Skykid, Rocks, Jellyfish, ETC) and OpenGL for UI's (Menu, candle icon's, ETC). If for android, you can only record whatever screen it is. (Just like recording entire screen on PC using OBS) It is on somekind of sandbox that I can't explain.
