Sorry, but I don't fully get it. You say using one account first , then you want to switch? Switching is not supported.

Try to delete sky, restart the device and see what happens. Switching in the past may have corrupted your data too. You can write sky support if you have recovery code

There's actually a way to switch account but very tedious

First you need to make sure your existing account was backup by any means.(Sky ID or Google)

And you need to remove your google account on system settings

After that add the account you need to switch. (Usually Google). *If your switching account is not link to google you may need to find other way.

Clear the Sky Data.

And open the Sky

Accept the Terms of Agreement

You will need to watch the intro cut scene for a second

And go to settings

Account

Add the google account that you add to the system.

And the game tells you to sync the existed data from that google account click yes

And a second, you done

Very tedious

So I don't recommend you to do or except If you helping your friend do something

The way i switch accounts (if both accounts are linked to Google) is...

1. Go to your phone's setting (not sky)
2. scroll down and click "Google"
3. Click "account services"
4. Click "Play Games"
5. On the top, it will show which google account u are currently on. Switch that to the account u want your sky to be on
6. There will be a option under the "profile and privacy" to "sign into games with this account" make sure that is on for the account u want to log into
7. Then go to back to sky, sign out of the account, then when u sign back in, it'll automatically change into the account u want
8. Then u can keep repeating this process whenever u want to switch accounts ok sky!

It's normal amongst many phone types. TGC used amazing techniques to render such beautiful graphics in a relatively small game but it's resource heavy. You can try to lower graphics settings in app (cog icon on right top corner -> battery icon) or I read some mods/very active players wrote they sometimes put the phone into a cold area (ice with insulation to prevent water leak, for example). The most expensive option is to change to a different device.

You can still sign into Google or Facebook to sync your progress and later sign in with same credentials to your iPad. Just don't use Google play because that is not compatible with iPad.

I've been having an issue for a while where if I play for too long, my phone overheats and the fps will drop since it starts to lag. Even if I turn the graphics down to energy saving mode, if I play for longer than 45 minutes or too intensively my phone just absolutely hates it. I've talked about it here before but nothing I'm trying has worked. I've tried playing it on full battery while on charge and that hasn't seemed to have had an impact on the issue. I'm using a google pixel 4A currently, but I'm seriously thinking about investing in a tablet (or just waiting until switch release) because of the fact I can't play for long periods of time.

Is it just my phone, or is there perhaps another issue that's slowing it down? Or is it even normal to have your fps drop and lag after a long period of time? (sorry for writing so much haha)

Technically, 4K is not coded into Sky : Children of Light (no official announcement has been made yet [as far as i'm aware])

However, most phone using the 4K resolution (i.e. Sony Xperia series) have built in software to upgrade the resolution.

So, in a way, yes, it supports 4K.

They are all budget SoCs. They won't do 60 fps as they are the lower binned chips that are cut down versions of their higher tier cousins. I know this as I overclocked my Adreno 615 (Snapdragon 670) it worked, but had artifacts and overheated too much. That's the behaviour of lower binned parts of the same silicon.

Essentially, instead of Qualcomm tossing the 845, 855, etc SoCs that didn't cut the performance testing they do, they lowered voltage and clock speeds and sold as cheaper chips.

It's a very common practice in the chip making world for the past 3-5 years.

Some G76 and G77 aren't though. Mali GPUs are tiered by how many media processors they have. The G76-MP4 for example cannot do 60 FPS but the MP10 should.

Hey! don't know if this is android specific, but sometimes when I take pics in sky, or go through gw fog, there is some strange pixilation.

I play on an android s20 fe. Sky runs like a dream at 60fps, and looks great. But the pictures never seem to look as good as the game. any similar experiences?

Android version had to make a few sacrifices in quality compared to iOS due to Android Fragmentation. Phones are too different and some devices had issues with some newer Vulkan API render calls that aren't in 1.0.3

It has something to do with movement as well. Smooth movements can make our brains believe that the image is sharper and smoother than in reality. You can try with 30 FPS. Same quality but your eyes would see less sharp image.

Means not all devices are the same. While Android is open source, all manufacturers put their own code into AOSP and close the source. (Perfectly legal due to the GPL AOSP uses). So a Samsung with OneUI will handle the game completely differently than a Xiaomi with MIUI

In contrast, all iOS devices are running the same OS

Not really. With Android 10 and up, each new major release has been trying to close the gap between the devices. So, hopefully soon, Android fragmentation will be a thing of the past.

One of the main additions to recent versions of Android that has a lot of manufacturers in for a big wake up is the "Compatibility Test Suite" google has been making changes to. It's also the reason a lot of apps say your device isn't compatible when it is due to the CTS evolving to try and combat fragmentation at a core level.

there's even entirely open source Android operating systems instead of using just what comes on the device (LineageOS, Bliss, etc)

Another attempt they made which hasn't had much success was project Treble. It's a pretty good read on what the planned end result was.

Edit: TL/DR of it: to enable easier and more cost effective ways for manufacturers to update their phones to a newer OS (like updating android 10 to 11) without the need of updating vendor specific code, like OneUI or MIUI.

Hi everyone, why we cant play at 60 fps? im using poco x3 xiaomi. 30 fps and smooth i cant play with this phone. My old phone is samsung and i could play 60 fps with that. Poco is better than my old samsung.

You don't consider Poco and Xiaomi android optimization, kernel limitations about apps, and GPU optimisation. New phones not necessarily better than old phones, new phones can have poorer GPU than old models. Several phones support 60fps Sky and developer team allow 60fps where possible without bugs.

a few Snapdragon devices seem to have a driver bug that prevents this from working properly

which is annoying because Snapdragons generally perform the best in Android devices

from observations a few of the guys here have made, the problem seemed to start when the devs fixed a bug where screenshots in places like Sanctuary would crash weaker devices

there's budget phones Samsung has pumped out in 2020 and 2021 that are ridiculously weak compared to my phone from 2018, for example

Isn't there a way the screenshot feature could be tinkered with such that instead of Capturing a "Screen shot" (which is basically a recording of what the phone displays) ?. The game will generate a file using raw data from the game? Like generating an Image like Blender3DS.

That's what it does

The problem is with the antialiasing

When you click the screenshot button it renders the frame at maximum quality and saves it... Proof of this is when using a really weak phone that has the resolution turned down a lot

I never checked but I always felt the screenshot quality was lower when using low graphics and higher when using higher graphics.

Unless you're taking a screenshot using the phone's built-in screenshot function. As long as you're using the button in the lower corner of the game screen then it should give you the correct kind of screenshot.
