For Samsung devices running Android 8 or 9 The application is called game tuner and is no longer available in either the play store or the Galaxy store. It has to be downloaded from the web... For Android 10 you can get game plugins in the Galaxy store.

@clever cedar The evidence I have that the game doesn't have a very high CPU load is that it runs very smooth on the S7... Games that heavily use the CPU lag on the S7. So if the S7 is able to perform smoothly by using mostly the GPU, then the CPU is barely being touched.

There is a known issue with Google Play sometimes showing devices as not compatible when they really are. Give the following steps a shot:

-Force close all applications

-Navigate to Apps, or App Manager.
-Scroll down and find Google Play Store.
-Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
-Repeat steps for Google Play Games and Google Play Services
-Power your device completely down (do not hit the Restart button)
-BE SURE TO LINK YOUR SKY ACCOUNT TO GOOGLE TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS
-Launch Google Play Store and try reinstalling/updating Sky
-If it still shows up incompatible, close the App Store again and wait a little while before checking back.

We're still waiting to hear back from Google as to why this is happening for some devices, we have made no changes to compatible devices.

i will say that playing with a controller allows you to hide the onscreen joystick and jump/flight buttons

UDP on a mobile game? Packet loss on a mobile network would be a nightmare when not on WiFi. UDP is suggested to use wired connections due to inherent packet loss via wireless transmission. It's the same reason most VoIP services won't troubleshoot choppy audio if your on wireless. As for encryption, it isn't much overhead. I mean 90% of Android out there already use FBE or FDE to encrypt the whole user data partition. (File based encryption or full disk encryption)

Just a techie who plays the game. For a latency insensitive game like sky, TCP would be better to ensure packets get delivered. That's mainly the difference between TCP and UDP. TCP requires confirmation of delivery. Imagine certified mail. UDP just sends packets and doesn't care for confirmation as it's more for latency sensitive applications, like voice over IP, video/audio streaming, and some competitive games. Since sky is more of a relax and enjoy game, the extra 50ms or so "lag" introduced by TCP is negligible.

The fact that google play suddenly says your phone is incompatible when it was before is unfortunately a common Google play problem. This usually fixes that.

There are external recording apps that let you record at least without the big google games button, however it will still record the ui in game. Using a controller will hide the move and fly buttons, but will not hide the rest of the ui.

I can't be 100% sure since I'm not a professional in this field but realme 7 looks good for sky. It does go beyond the minimum required specs. (Ram is 4~8gb, storage is 64gb which should be ok as long as you don't download too many apps. GPU seems okay? Cpu is good too.) It's a new phone that came out fairly recently too. You should look into other aspects of the phone, but in my opinion it'll be able to run sky with 60fps.

Do consort a professional or person who knows better about phones tho for better advice. Sorry I'm not much of a help.

So, I got these tips for Android users. These works for me, maybe it will for you too:

1. If your device cannot handle max graphics, go to options and choose power save mode
2. If your frame rate drops if you move to an area, go to options and put to max graphics for 3 seconds and put it back to power save mode again
3. Use built-in game-mode boosters on your phone if you have

Some phones have the native ability to change screen resolution... However, most of the time, phones are usually at their maximum resolution... If you're trying to go down and your phone does not natively support changing its resolution... Then you may need to do research into ADB commands. Because that is the only way to change your phone's screen resolution without root access. SFAIK only Samsung devices can change the resolution of the game without affecting the entire phone screen.
