Qualcomm has had many years to optimize and solidify a standard. So Snapdragon processors are almost guaranteed to be decent. There are a lot of creature comforts outside of just clock speeds, like architecture.

I am sure they are working on a way. Right now it is most likely put on the back burner like headphones while listening to audio is due to current world events.
It has been mentioned earlier by staff that they were looking into a way for it to work, but it would have pushed back Android launch date further than they would have liked, so they stopped looking into it and will most likely look into it later in the future. I mean think of the polish they need to do and bug fixes on top of developing a new season.

Yes, Android 11 update seems to not play well with Sky. If you updated your Pixel within the last month, you will get random crashes and visual artifacts. Please submit a bug report in #bug-reports-android so the devs know it's a wide spread issue since it isn't in #known-issues yet.

Samsung sells snapdragon variants in the US due to patent issues. The SD variant does best the 765 is some benchmarks. This is due to the 765 being a budget CPU. The modern day equivalent of the SD820 is the snapdragon 865. Pretty much the 765G is a ford focus and the snapdragon 8xx is a mustang.
In any event, those frame spikes are the reason tgc would have reduced the settings for your phone, to prevent those kinds of spikes happening in game play. A few seconds of 1-5 fps is a bad gaming experience.

@spare dust I had the same situation and I found a workaround for it. You need to visit an elder from another constellation first - any realm's elder (you must have a complete constellation at least) click on the elder, click the outfit and go back to the forest's elder. It worked for me yesterday.

Is it possible the internal resolution of your device was changed in the time you started playing and now. I currently play on the Samsung Galaxy S7 which has resolution changing built into the settings menu. if I change the setting to 720p then I get a 720p screenshot if I switch it to 1080p then I get a 1080p screenshot.

Sky uses Android's built in CTS checking algorithm. All unofficial builds of Android on devices not registered as a compatible Android device (I.E. Raspberry Pi, a console, etc that didn't have Android officially release) will fail CTS and can't load Sky. Doing this also breaks Sky's Terms of Use. @humble copper

I don't think you'd be able to carry over beta since android beta uses google play testing and iOS beta uses testflight and had to tap on a completely different link to activate beta depending on whether you play on android or iOS, correct me if I'm wrong.

Forest elder hair is currently bugged unfortunately! If you completed prairie constellation you can activate that spirit and then the button for forest mama will show up

Just checked my phone and it's on 32 OS bit , checked the cpu manual and turns out it can operate on 64bit as well . Any idea on how to upgrade it to 64 bit , asking google and youtube really wasn't helpful

If you're on different versions of Sky, you cannot teleport to the other and vice versa. You'd have to be on the same version.
For update, you'll have to wait if the update is not available in your app store yet. Don't worry cause you'll get the update eventually. Updates take time to reach everyone

AH I was looking to see if anyone else had problems with sanctuary and friends being in the far ocean...
First, my friend and I were separated by the server while holding hands flying from the bird's nest into the islands... Then, in a series of attempts to get back to each other, we were both told that the other was in the far ocean, and neither flying nor swimming there worked. In the meantime, at least THREE of my other friends tried to join me, and each of them appeared to me to be in the ocean as well. In the end, I never got to them, and only rejoined my initial friend when we both went home again...

That STAR thing is for the pins that they are supposed to be shipping out to people soon. It uses the NFC technology in your phone to use the special feature if you bought one of the pins when they were selling merch a month or two ago. If you don't have a pin, you can just ignore that feature

No, it's just that currently there is a bug in sanctuary where your friend appears invisible, and their call star can be seen far for some reason

Sky was thanos snapped from my play store. It's not even in the installed tab when I check my apps and games section of play store even tho its still on my phone. I used to experience the android incompatibility bug a lot but it the game would still show up in the installed section and just said incompatible next to it. Is it possible to get it to reappear?

- Turn your phone off and on. (You shouldn't restart .Turn it off then turn it on manually)

Important - Be sure to link your Sky account to a Google or Facebook account so it does not get lost in the process.
Force close all applications on your device, including Sky.
Pull down the notification bar on your Android device and hit the gear-shaped settings icon, or find "Settings" in the application tray.
Navigate to Apps, or App Manager.
Scroll down and find Google Play Store.
Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
Repeat steps 2 through 5 for Google Play Games and Google Play Services.
Power your device completely down (do not hit the Restart button).
Launch Google Play Store and try reinstalling/updating Sky again.

I paired my DualShock 4 to play Sky like before. I tried it now on Android 11 and it won't recognize the inputs in-game. Controller works on android menu and is detected when I hit buttons and use the touchpad. So bug report this?

there arent many of us who play using paired controllers, but devs do listen whenever we send in bug reports.
in the previous update, flight toggle icons were displaying wrongly for controllers. i reported the bug, and they fixed it in this update.
they probably will once they get more feedback from andy 11 users. every bug report helps.

The game really needs a performance overhaul and optimizations. I'm playing a recently released game and I don't have a single issue with overheat or battery drain and the game is demanding too. We need more control on performance adjustments for this game. (Sounds easy but I'm sure is not).

Unfortunately some androids can, some just can't because of weaker specs. Sky is an intensive game and as such, weaker androids won't be able to run it as well as better ones. IPhones are a lot more consistent in their specs, which is why it's much easier to build a consistently more smooth game for it then for androids that are just huge amounts of differently constructed models

If your device does not support google play store or iOS game center, then no there's nothing you can do. Sky only works through those (and soon the switch), and if you have any issues using something else, no one would be able to help you.

@meager saffron sky launched live in july 2019, the old version of sky that was named sky: light awaits isn't supported anymore. I'm pretty sure you would have to start again from scratch

Yes, the more players are around (lit mostly), the more my game will lag, and as such more chance for the keys to lag as well

My notes just get really inconsistent when I play in certain areas and/or with people around, so I guess getting used to have some consistent lateness shouldn't be too bad to get used to, but if you would like, you can make a report in #bug-reports-android or #report-a-live-bug if it really doesn't seem normal to you!

I've already tried it a few times now and and checked every few min for 30min after each fix but sky still is showing up as incompatible. I even pre-ordered the adventure pass and don't want that to go to waste 😦
