I have a friend on an Android device and I play with her constantly but like many of you she’s unable to get into the game. I’m not seeing any sort of update from the developers that they even know this is a problem and are focusing on in game issues like the black birds in daylight prairie. A lot of people are most likely going to complain about not being able to finish the season and start candle running for the next TS, and I doubt there’s a compensation system as an apology for letting this happen to a lot of players- since I’ve never seen it happen. I’m sure there are even players who aren’t in the server that are more confused and worried as to why their game isn’t working..
Have they noticed this problem and are they currently trying to fix it? I just want to keep my friend’s worries at bay. She wanted to get the manta cape but I’m not even sure with this major bug that it’ll be fixed on time for her to finish up the season.

Wow. Thats a whole rant. Eternalxyn, they are aware. They are trying to fix it. They probably arent announcing it bcs there has been very little info to go by. If your friend is upset. She can do everyone affected by the bug a favour by reporting it in #report-a-live-bug This allows Devs to compile info on the issue. More info = quicker fix.

To be fair, the fixing of stuff like textures is much quicker - like you say, I'd be happier if we knew TGC were aware they'd basically locked out whole bunch of (for me, at least) paying customers completely, but it may be they're not putting a statement out about it until they can isolate how they plan to fix it. That said, if you haven't already, please submit a bug report for your friend with as much technical info as possible so they can add up the scope of the issue (and make it clear it's fatal immediate crashing, as sometimes people love to call minor bugs "unplayable" and they may not realise the extent...)

I believe most Andriod devices can't record in-game audio, so tapping record will record sounds outside of your Andriod and it's not something TGC can control. I hope this answers your question

Yes. I also forgot to mention: to record a video in sky, tap any of the corners and some buttons should pop up. On the bottom right corner, there should be an option to record the screen
Andriod currently doesn't have a feature to record in game sounds, so it will record all surrounding noise as well

Chirch, having multiple accounts is against ToS, esp of you're using it to give yourself an unfair advantage. Furthermore, having multiple accs on the same device will result in data corruption, and should you seek assistance from Support, they will be unable to help you.

Yeah I was thinking about this too, it's very annoying. A simple button to disable the auto jump when moving from standstill would be veerrry useful. Lets put this on the wishlist and hope the developer do something about it instead of changing the flight control icon and add some vibration when you change the flight mode. 😂

Paradox, TGC likely works with ios devices primarily, so they tend to miss a few things when it comes to android compatibility. Moreover, issues arent universal on android devices. There is a wide range of specs in the android device market. Some can withstand changes TGC makes with each new update, some struggle.
I, for one, have minor issues with Sky updates, and I've got a midrange android phone. It all boils down to chipsets and gpus.
If your device struggles, frankly...thats on you at this point

There is a known issue with Google Play sometimes showing devices as not compatible when they really are. Give the following steps a shot:
-Force close all applications
-Pull down the notification bar on your Android device and hit the gear-shaped settings icon, or find “Settings” in the application tray.
-Navigate to Apps, or App Manager.
-Scroll down and find Google Play Store.
-Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
-Repeat steps for Google Play Games and Google Play Services
-Power your device completely down (do not hit the Restart button)
-BE SURE TO LINK YOUR SKY ACCOUNT TO GOOGLE TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS
-Launch Google Play Store and try reinstalling/updating Sky
-If it still shows up incompatible, close the App Store again and wait a little while before checking back.
We're still waiting to hear back from Google as to why this is happening for some devices, we have made no changes to compatible devices.

Imortaldonut and V3n0m, check #known-issues wing buffs are a known issue and crashes on certain devices is known. It isn't Android version. I never had crashes on Android 10 besides the old wasteland and forest ones. It's certain chipsets not able to render the boats or something else that was included in 0.10.5 causing them to crash.
On the wing buff issue, ||I died last night|| and it worked for me. They might have fixed it or I just got lucky it started working again.

A known reason why devices don't meet requirements is if you have a budget or midrange device. Most manufacturers don't build their lower end phones as 64 bit. A good example of this is Motorola play series phones, Samsung J and A series phones and tablets (minus the A20 and A21)
Yeah, unless it is an M series, like the M9/M10 or the U11,(or newer "flagship" HTC) it won't be compatible.

Oof, nvm, no need to take too long. Doing a quick search in their gerrit, I found a plethora of Vulkan changes for R.
That wouldn't show me what changed or if there were any major changes. Checking the gerrit shows all changes in code
Checked that app, shows nothing of changes. Still on OpenGL 3.2 and Vulkan 1.1.128. the changes on their gerrit didn't update the revisions or drivers, just how Android 11 handles the requests.

Troubleshooting Blank or Missing IAPs in Sky Store (Google Play Store)
Step 1: Link your Sky acc to gmail (and FB as an extra precaution; take a screenshot of your recovery code as well).
Step 2: Go to phone Settings>Sky>Clear Data
Step 3: Go to phone Settings>Google Play Store> Clear Data
Step 4: Launch Sky. Do Not launch Google Play Store.
Step 5: If your Sky acc was linked via gmail, Sky will auto-recover your acc as long as you are logged into your gmail on your device. Otherwise, you may recover your acc via Settings>Account>Facebook in Sky. Log into FB as usual and you will be prompted to abandon your current account for your recovered account. Accept.
Step 6: On your recovered acc, access Sky's IAP shop. It should appear as normal with restored purchases, items to purchase, and their prices.

If you're unsure which version of opengl or vulkan your device supports, there are apps in the play store that can tell you.
Unfortunately, devices that use PowerVR GPUs are incredibly unstable RN.

Yes, devices that use the PowerVR GPU are suffering from crashing. So far I haven't heard any rumor of Adreno or Mali GPUs crashing. I currently have a Samsung Galaxy A20 and a Samsung Galaxy S7. The A20 has the Mali-G71 MP2 and the S7 has the Adreno 530. Both do not crash.

@tacit pilot most flagship devices should be able to run the game at 60fps. S8 or stronger should be able to do it. Pixel 3 and Pixel 4 should be able to do it as well.
@safe matrix what phone do you have? it may not be strong enough to run the game 100% smooth.

Ok, the Adreno 512 is the GPU in that phone. It is a mid-range GPU, and is not going to run the game 100% smooth.
Even at peak performance it will still struggle.
Here is the performance of the S7... It was a little hot so some thermal throttling did take place.
One method to help speed up your game experience is to make sure nothing is running in the background. One of the major contributors is apps like Facebook and Instagram that always like to run in the background. If you have ES File Explorer... You'll want to force close it.
Another way is to enable "do not keep activities" and set background processes to none. You'll want to set these back to default when you're done though.

hmm.. according to the helpshift support website, they could just be lagging due to server or device connectivity issues, and they recommend waiting 10 minutes and see what happens 
If your friend is still facing the problem after that, then the best route may be to contact support.

Yes, it is a very resilient phone... The Android 8 update did cause overheating issues... And significantly decrease the battery life... But still a great phone if you can handle those two factors.

Seems it might be. The Redmi Note 7 (Lavender) is compatible with sky per specs and does run a 64 bit OS.

Mine is set for 60, but I can't do 60 in game either ... It's due to it's benchmark score not being high enough. You might have the same issue. It's the limitations of the device.

currently 60fps would take 80% of snapdragon 865 gpu power to run, as measured on my device, hence any device that has a gpu flops lesser than 80% of this processor cannot reach 60fps

@violet mist (sorry for the ping) Sky usually auto-logs you in via whatever gmail acc on your phone is set as primary. To access your brothers acc or yours, you need to set your corresponding gmails as primary for that session, or log out of the extra one before launching Sky

Just remember, logging in on multiple accounts on one device is not supported, if you or your brother's account data gets corrupted due to a bad OTP or hash, CS won't help. Device logins are most likely logged and they will see you logging in multiple accounts on one device. Not going to get into the technical details, just know it can happen due to how the secure hand-off happens between TGC and your login method of choice. (Facebook, Google, game center, etc)

I am just glad my Pixel 3a still uses basic integrity checks after Android 11. I was worried I wouldn't be able to update to 11 due to the hardware-backed attestation being forced with most phones.
Still sad, I have to unlock my bootloader to make my phone more secure... (Installing an up to date kernel every week is bothersome sometimes though)
