It's almost a half decade old phone and when it came out it already was the budget phone of Samsungs. It already stopped receiving updates from Samsung as of 2025 January, that's why it can't keep up with the new game update features 
Make sure you always have a few GB of free space and no apps in the background or no apps over apps features enabled (such as Messenger bubbles or Discord over Sky)

Yes, my internet connection has a problem with sky specifically 🤭
Yes Sky requires higher connection standards than just streaming or general usage. It's a give or take with this game. If the servers were down this channel and #questions-and-help would burn.

You can also check your connection quality on speedtest.net - for Sky ping latency lower than 35ms, download speed higher than 30mbps are recommended. If your connection doesn't meet them, restart your router or try on a different connection

Hi, skykids! I recently reinstalled sky on my samsung galaxy tab s6 lite tablet and I am encountering lags. When I installed it first time (4 months ago), I didn't encounter those lags. My tablet is new (got it this June), so idk what causes those lags. Any idea how I can eliminate those lags?
Hi! Tablets in general are not that optimized for gaming moreover Samsung has put a quite budget Mali g72 GPU in it which cannot keep up with the new game features.
You can eliminate those lags mostly with a different device. You might try uninstalling resource hungry apps, limit app background usage, or freeing up space. Also make sure not to stress that tablet with max graphics, one bar has the best performance ratio when it comes to playing with such a budget GPU.
That GPU struggles with modern, heavy 3D rendering and it has only Vulkan 1.0 support.

Hey guys, quick question, is it normal that I can't see only the migrating lighthorn whisperer on android? When I unlocked the tiwr before the cape it said the spirt has something to show me in isle of dawn and I'm unable to find it near the other spirits... Is it a bug or am I being dumb?
Not a bug. Go to the stone ramp before the temple, honking should show you a blue star, but it's likely covered by the ui guiding icon

Hello, has anyone experience having only 3 quests in Migration?
As of now, I have received 4 migration candles (including the wax). I have friends who have the "Forge a candle" quest, so I tried forging a candle and clicking on the quest and I still did not receive any migration candle.
My device support 120 fps
Got it, I tried logging out and it seemed to do the trick as only upon relogging in the blue heart could be seen on the ramp, still even after the quest I can't find the spirit near the fireplace in the isle, it's been like that since the completion of the first quest of migration...
They're intended to stay at the last spot you've visited through the quests. As of the latest one available, the spirit should be resting at forest brook with the herd of lighthorns

My phone can run most games at 120 fps but not sky
Because it has a strong GPU, but Sky and its graphics engine require even more. Even some 2 year old phones can support 120fps in Sky.
If you're playing on a phone, I'm not sure you'll get a stable 120 FPS even on medium graphics. Throtling can cause the FPS to drop to 60-90 due to overheating.
For example, my Snapdragon 8 gen 3 can have 120 FPS, but it can’t keep it stable at medium settings.

Hello. Ever since I got my new phone, android to be exact, and redownloaded sky, it keeps signing me kit for some reason. I tried everything, but nothing's working.. Is there anyone here who had to deal with that, or is it a sign for me to quit sky? I can't even talk or move for a certain period of time without it signing me out
Not sure I understand completely what is your issue.
But mentioning here the model of your device (for example Samsung Galaxy A30) will also be helpful.
Not all the phones have strong GPU's that will handle well Sky.
have you tried lowering the settings to the lowest fps (= 1 bolt) and clearing cache of the apps?
It's a brand new phone, so not much storage is taking up space. But I'll try the lowest fps

But, at the same time, not all the phones deal well with Vulkan, an API that is essential for Sky to work well.
Perhaps something in the device might not be handling well Sky. _

My phone has great data actually and the storage space is much bigger than my other one. I made sure everything was good to go for me to properly play on sky and my new phone's a little better than my other one, so I don't understand what's wrong
I was doing a research of the characteristics of the Nokia G310 5 G, after you finally mentioned.
It looks like it has a GPU Adreno 619. If so it won't suppport 60 fps, but I think it should still work.
Tho recent additions to the game are more graphic -demanding.
So there really is a way for me to fix the problem and finally play normally? Because I was starting to think it was a bug

If suddenly many people disappear it sounds similar to an issue I was having - my isp once remotely updated my router with a bugged firmware. Even though everything was great including the speed test, Sky was bugging and it came out my connection had package dropouts! Can you try on a different connection?
Uh I have two Wi-Fi's and both have the same IP address made by the government, but it's very strange that I only have this problem on Sky. I've played other online games with the same Wi-Fi and they work normally.

Yes, if it's the same IP then it's most likely from the same provider. Probably they had temporary issues with the IP ranges of Sky.

Am I the only one having issues with the broomstick race daily quest today? The race just randomly cancels itself before I even get to finish it. One time it cancelled both the race and the broom spell, then I got all the way to the end of it, but the finish spot keeps glowing and signaling, yet the blue point with the circle is no longer there

Hello, there seems to be a problem with the servers. Whenever I enter the game and want to play, people suddenly disappear and then a message appears saying that my friends are already with me and that it is not because of the wifi.

The headphones appear on your character when you play music or audio in another app while playing Sky (as long as you're not wearing another mask accessory). You can use them any time by putting on some tunes! 🎧 (iOS only, due to limitations in Android hardware)

I completed the migrating bird whisperer and the seasonal heart showed in the tree but it won't allow me to obtain it. I go to prairie to see if the spirit is there for it to, "show me something special ", but the spirit isn't there. I've attempted over 2 days so far. Has anyone else had this issue? I need that seasonal heart. Thanks!

Bird nest is the area before you go to Sanctuary island from Prairies lobby, the spirit is at the entrance so it's pretty easy to miss them. You can also do a call for an indicator when in the area.

try to click on the yellow wing menu on the top of the screen and select the sit emote another two times. if it doesn't work (like that the game is frozen or something) I think you should close the game and open it again, then go back to that place using the Return Shrine (the statue that you find at Home)
idk if your device has it too, but if you go on the device settings > notifications there should be something similar to "notification history" and if you turn it on it might show the past notifications. Btw the notifications from sky usually don't tell what was written, they just say "someone commented on your shared memory/space" or something similar

Yeah, sadly it doesn't show the comment itself, i literally have messages everywhere, looking for the specific one is impossible.
How to tp to your friend?
You can join their server from the friend constellation at home/aviary. Click their star, and hit Join.
If you're talking about teleporting to them across the same map, you have to unlock that on their friendship tree. It's to the right for 10 Ascended Candles

No, definitely not normal. You're the only one who should have an access and knowledge about your Sky ID not unless you gave it away to someone and/or you let someone access your account (which is highly discouraged and is against EULA/TOS). Support and TGC Team might have knowledge about it but that's a different thing.
What could they do with it???
Lots, one could impersonate and pretend to be you and gain complete access to your account. It is highly encouraged to NEVER SHARE your Sky ID.

Good day, I've had a problem for a while now. I started the game on PC and I can't log in with my Steam account on my phone. When I started the game, I could log in for about 2 months, but I saw someone who couldn't even 9 months ago, but there was no solution. I don't know if they'll fix this and if it's a bug in the game or Steam, but it's pretty useless. If I want to play on my phone, I have to stream from my PC.

Candle meter barely visually increase if you reach grey candle. If it doesn't increase at all, it's your connection

Hi is anyone else having issues with the latest season quest. Everytime i almost finished with the quest and am almost over the temple, it resets back to the beginning and my character is automatically teleported back to the entrance. Have tried 3 times and keep having the same issue

Btw even if you allow 165hz, tests show it barely goes above 120 Hz, and its optimization is not perfect, sadly it's a OnePlus thing.

Nope, check the guide why (optimization and gpu matter). As a metaphor even if you blink very fast that doesn't make you do maths calculations sooner.
Btw me having a Sky-120fps capable device, still I never use 120fps. It's a battery hog. 30 fps + motion blur give the perfect balance and combination between performance and battery drain 
So the Samsung is able to optimize it enough to enable the 120fps?
Also, I don't have a problem with battery, since this new monster packs a 7300mAh battery
Yeah that has a great battery and it has one of the newest GPU. It will take time to get it optimized with Sky to get 120fps (regardless of whether something is missing from the phone drivers or the game, who knows). I remember brand new Samsung S series users also complained. It's a give or take with very new hardwares.

The problem is most likely your country - it filters internet traffic more and more with time. You need to try on a different connection.
Also you could try the following:
- log out of your Google accounts on your mobile
- reinstall Sky
- download Google Play Games from play store

Hey, there. I just hear the sound (aka the in-game currency full) while login which I haven’t candle running, except seasonal candles in a day. It’s this bug or it’s our Sky avatar?
Samsung galaxy tab S5 RAM 4 GB, free storage around 10 GB. I deleted many unnecessary apps to clear out the space, hoping it will improve the gaming experience. However, while I could play the game couple of days ago, it's become virtually impossible to play due to my tab hanging up anytime I try to log in. I might be able to momentarily play but then it freezes for no apparent reason.

Does anyone know where I can access the camera settings? I've played this game before and just got back into it 2 days ago. Now I can't find the camera settings in the game.
I can't unlock the level 4 and buy cosmetics or see any spirit in the valley citadel area so I can do the spirit's quest and unlock the level 4 of the seasonal spirit called "cheerful manta whisperer"...I reported yesterday about this bug and i reported earlier too but still I haven't got any response or any improvements...I noticed many people are facing the same issue. Can anyone tell me how long TGC takes to solve issues or how they inform us?
You could try basic troubleshooting such as restarting device, uninstall and reinstall app, clear cache and/or data, have atleast 20% (or more) free storage. However, considering Galaxy Tab S5e is a 2019 device with a 2018 mid range SoC, chances are, it will struggle a lot in playing Sky to a point where gameplay may be unbearable.

Unless your skykid is capeless, you'll always have to wear a cape, you can't take it off. There is a few instances where you won't have your cape (ex. trials, orbit, the last city, some seasonal quests) but this is only temporary. Hope this helps!

That is a bug! There's too much friendship for them to appear for their special moment quest. Report it so TGC can help fix it
You need to go find them in the underground caverns (fall through the 2-player hole in the ground in Grandma's) to do their quest, but if the friendship is higher than the star they don't seem to appear to do that

Does anyone else notice that Sky is very laggy on Android?
I've been playing Sky for over a year and I can say, since the update with the movie The Two Embers, Sky has become simply unplayable. It urgently needs optimization, as it lags so much that it's demotivating (even lowering the graphics quality doesn't help; it lags the same way).
P.S.: My phone is an A16.
The actual problem is that A16 definitely needs an optimization by the manufacturer, but since the A series is an entry budget series from Samsung, it's simply just struggling with keeping up with the game updates with time. 
(I have a half decade old phone which still runs Sky without a hiccup)
Here are some tips which can help with lag:
- uninstall resource hungry background apps like TikTok or Facebook
- remove apps over apps features such as messenger bubbles or discord over Sky
- have at least 6-8gb free space for the android system
- check for Android updates
- ultimately after backing up everything factory reset your phone

I agree with Tib, A16 is an extremely old device, I play on A34 5g and I do not notice any severe lagging even though I play on standard graphics settings (2 bolts, 60 fps)
It is unfortunately is what happening if device carrier stops the full graphics support for the oldest devices
The current A16 is from late 2024, but that's where Samsung specifically dropped full Vulkan support

That's when you have a connection but it's struggling to keep up with Sky. The game is very sensitive to ping latency, it's best to have it under 35ms - you can check it on speedtest.net

Help. Every time I take screenshot from the in game camera (button right corner) it's asking for permissions, but I already set it to allow. I also changed it to do not allow and change it again back to Allow.

Sometimes you need to readjust it to not allowed and then adjust it again to allowed. Then restart the phone.

Everytime i try to take a screenshot since the new update, it asks for permission i press ask permission, it says it was previously denied, it says laugh settings, i launch settings, and then the permission is not even there,, does anybodt know why? Can it be fixed?
Reset the settings and completely log off and log in again. It's fixed for the people I helped with the issue

If you read your in game in box mail, you can notice that they mention for example Ios will need Ios 15+APIs. As well as a few months ago some older Android devices begun showing difficulties to handle the game.
Not sure yet what Devs did to Energy Saving mode, but believe more players are experiencing something similar.

It might be worth also checking if support can help you with suggesting which options might be best for your particular case.
Framerate is at 30FPS with the screen resolution being at 58 percent. Or something like that... I can't decreased it, otherwise the frame rate gets all clanky
Thought maybe lowering brightness or some other option might help.
Androids have such a wide variety of models and configurations that can be difficult to code the game for all of them, I suppose.
Hope you can find a way to be able to play without such issues.

Facing the same issue. It's not constant, though. It happens occasionally for me. Also, it didn't happen in High Def mode. But again, I didn't play on that mode long.

Try to restart your phone, a few had the same issue and pounted out that it's been resolved by quick restart of their device.

if you feel like you'd want to play Sky on-the-go or maybe even in bed, then I'd say get it on your phone as well. if you don't really see yourself playing it in these kind of situations, then stick to just PC

Its very minor but noticeable enough. It goes away when motion blur toggle is on. But that makes me nauseous most of the time so I turn it off

Sorry for the late response. The A17 is a pretty budget phone. I'd recommend uninstalling resource hungry apps like Insta or tiktok, clear sky's cache and restart your device

There is less black Dye as usual, and somehow some black appear at Valley these days.

Yeah, don't mind them, either they have nothing better to do or just trolling. For now, try to check your network connection, it's better if ping is no more than 30ms (try to check here at https://speedtest.net/). You could also try to restart device, see if that works.
Z Flip7 is one of Samsung's flagship phone and houses Samsung's proprietary SoC (Exynos 2500), it should normally be able to handle Sky with minimal stutter or freezes.

hello im asking an issue my friend kept getting whenever we play together. They kept getting crashes/ game forced close whenever i bring them cr.
Their devices is apple/iphone (im not sure which version but it should be still the latest) and i need tips to minimize the crashes. Although i did tell them to lower their fps.

I've seen comments somewhere that it's a bug if your XP progress goes beyond that level's star before you unlock the trust moment. There are definitely quiet a few bug reports about it missing that have been submitted recently.

Sky website and Discord bugs are not related to in-game support - this is outsourced to a company called Helpshift, which is aimed at in-game shenanigans.
If I'm having issues logging in via Steam is that a Steam issue or a Sky issue?
On the latest build the wing icon appears lower than usual and I'm having trouble getting the settings cog to appear.
Reloading moves the wing icon back to the top but it's still hard to get the settings cog to appear sometimes.

hoi, it might just be me but I wanted to ask just to rule it out...
Today, when I try to start sky, I:
- cannot activate my daily quests, but can see what the quests are
- can light candles, however, it doesn't register on the "light 20 candles" daily quest NOR let me collect the wax
- cannot claim the daily season candle
This is all I've tested so far, and was wondering if this was a server issue.
I've ruled out internet connection, I've tried on wifi (full bars) and 4G connection.
I'd love to hear if anybody else has this problem, or if I should simply wait it out!

Why do I always back off where I need to do a task? I can't get into the map at all.

It could be a Google Play Store issue on your friend's phone. Clear its cache and/or data and log back into Google, then try Sky again. Also check Sky's app settings for things like no battery optimization and storage settings etc.
Restart the game and wait for the survey to appear again for you in a few days.

So I want to change my email account to log in. It the one I originally used to make my account but now I wanna change it.
Ive tried: linking with my steam and it wouldnt let me, linking with my Facebook (although it is linked, it won't let me unlink my email), and going to my Google account to unlink it from the third party section.

It's been an year since I shifted to playing Sky Cotl only on my Windows 11 PC cz in mobile I faced a lot of too much heating and battery drain problem.
For those who keep playing on mobile devices......Have you guys noticed any improvement on the mobile version in terms of heating and battery drain while playing on high graphics 60fps mode?
Generally speaking - requirements slowly increase all the time. Therefor it wouldn't really "improve" in terms of either battery or heating issue(which will depend almost entirely on your device).
By the way sky is one of the "hottest" games to run on Windows/Linux pc due to heavy usage of AVX2.
The responses to this question would and will be entirely subjective depending on the particular android device and the state of game optimization related to certain chipsets and the Android manufacturer 's Vulkan support/optimization. There always will be players who say it got worse - these will be more likely heard - and some others who notice and enjoy improvement. It all comes down to what particular device we're talking about. As a rule of thumb newer devices more likely benefit from improvements.
For example, my secondary old device drain increased a little, but the resolution and FPS on my new device improved a lot in the past 1.5 years.
Gonna provided some context: two days ago, during the discord scheduled event, I was stuttering, freezing, and crashing during the loading screen, a lot. I gave up for an hour before trying to log in again. Still the same. Waited another few hours, still crashing. Yesterday, I tried again. Nothing change, still freezing and crashing. Today, I tried it again. It didn't even fully loaded in, it just shows me a black screen with two movement icons before crashing. The second time did the same. Over the course of three days, I think in total, I've crashed like 12 or 13 times. Maybe even more. I tried clearing my cache and forced stopping the game but still doesn't work. Occasionally, I've seen the "downloading game (something-something)" (two or three times) but it still doesn't do anything. I really don't know what to do now.
What's your specific device and how much storage do you have left. Have you tried restarting yet?
The game didn't receive any updates which would affect the graphics engine and others didn't report such issues, so adding to Xander check what was mentioned and also try uninstalling any recently installed apps - it might even be a bugged android update by your manufacturer.
I used the Galaxy A32 5G and I have 21.66 GB left. I'm assuming you meant restarting the whole phone?

- Yes, it is currently bugged.
- No official fix yet (AFAIK).
- Workaround found and shared by few players: Go to your Nest. Open your dresser/closet and view the props there, that should remove the persistent red dot issue.

When you get the mitten spell from a spirit in the dreams village, the mitten button will appear above the flying button, tap it to pick up snow, then hold it to aim and release
Check phones themselves rather than just "It has That CPU". It is quite common for some manufacturers to just push it to its limits and overheat in games. For some even to the point of literally burning hands.

Here’s a small suggestion: it’s best to choose a phone with this chip that runs stock Android or its derivative systems—self-developed systems may cause some programs to be incompatible, leading to app crashes or overheating.
This isn’t very common… Maybe you could try the Red Magic 9 Pro. It comes with a built-in heatsink, and you can add an extra one if needed. So far, no manufacturer seems to be able to run Sky at full graphics and full frame rate without overheating.
A lot of phones are capable of running the game without overheating, even my year(s) old Xiaomi 14, even at 120fps. But the battery drain for the graphics difference is just not worth it, which is understandable.

The Xiaomi 14 isn’t doing well in mainland China because its quality control is terrible. The one I bought started overheating abnormally, lagging and crashing less than a month after purchase. It’s really frustrating.
No mobile phone can run at full graphics with 60 FPS for an extended period without overheating.

Not sure if it has been mentioned as a known issue recently. But you can report this if you have already ruled out it is not either server instability or internet instability on either you or any of your friend's side (as even small issues can cause a server split).
- Check both of you your connection on https://speedtest.net whose connection became lacking. Download speed above 30mbps and ping latency below 35ms is recommended for both of you, without any special connection methods.
- If any of you playing from Vietnam, or Russia those players got affected by country laws, sadly
- if the connection is right and none of you play from the countries mentioned above, Amazon servers (the service hosting Sky) had a breakdown a few days ago and it's been fixed but not fully, it can be on/off a bit since

Is the 4th daily quest bugged?
Hi genuinely asking how do you complete the season? It seems like I'm stuck on 93%. Did all quests and bought all items from the spirits already. I'm confused did i miss something?😅
Just had the oddest experience. Was in wasteland and then the prompt to follow the alice door pops up and clicking either button did nothing but my character was being dragged into the void below.
Is it a bug if one of the two daily quests doesn't take and instead takes a long time to load?

only thing that comes to mind is that not every sheet can be played on every instrument
you could test if it's a bug or not by playing it on the same instrument, if not it's most likely the first reason

If she's using grand piano, it won't show until she's sitting and ready to play

Facebook sign in is notoriously difficult to use. TGC no longer recommends it as a sign in method due to Facebook not being stable.
You have to sign in from mobile first, add other sign in methods (like your steam id), and then you can use them to sign in on your other places.

It's been mentioned as a #known-issues - did you grant permission in a popup or did you actually open settings and enable gallery access in the permissions menu? Did you restart the device afterwards?

Yes it sounds like a device specific issue. Try reinstalling the game and if it doesn't work contact the support of the device manufacturer

You need to go to Isle and meet Bellmaker for the "Trust Moment" which will unlock the tree. Meet him on the ramp to Temple. If you follow Migration Guide and honk, you should see a blue star there to guide you to his location.
Are you able to accept or collect them at the Cafe counter in Aviary Village? Most of us use that as a backup plan. If you are unable to accept or collect at either location, contact Support through the in-game gear menu with supporting screenshots. They should be able to help from there.
Whenever I try to login via steam on mobile, it asks for mobile app confirmation, so I switch to steam app and approve the login. However, when I go back to the Sky app the process resets cause I switched apps and my phone turns sky off to save resources 😭

If you don't want to wait for support to get back to you, you could try forcing the quest to work by clearing your Sky app's cache (NOT data), and trying to rejoin that area multiple times in the same session, either via the GW portal or teleporting via the migration camp. If nothing works then the remaining post-quest rewards for quests 8, 9 and 10 from the guide will be available after the season ends, so you won't miss out on those.

Try turning the picture permission for sky off and back on, I heard it helped some people.

Ive had a problem for around a week now. My internet is completely fine, I ran some tests, other online games work fine and so does video streaming. But whenever I play sky -
•I can't burn darkness plants
•Friends say they can see me but I can't see them
•Grandma and geyser sometimes don't work
•I see people flying around and teleporting but others say that I'm the one who seems to be teleporting and disappearing randomly
I've barely been able to play sky because of this incessant problem. In all honesty if this keeps going, I'll quit in a week.

You can try the following options in your Apps settings and see if any work: 1. Clear the cache of your Sky app; 2. Clear Google Play Games cache (if using Google login). 3. Turn off any battery optimization for Sky.
Hey. I have a question. I think it might be a bug but i'm not sure. I play on a samsung phone and i use swipe gestures. For a while now, 3 or 4 months i think, when i swipe from the edge, as a back button press (most times by accident), the game shuts immediately. I used to get a pop up message to confirm the exist, but now there is nothing. I also have the game on my tablet but there i get the pop up prompt. The big problem is, when i try to go back, the game loads like it was fully shut down, and is verry annoying. Sounds mostly like a Samsung problem. Try this - Lower Back Gesture Sensitivity (Quickest Fix)
This makes edge swipes way harder to trigger by accident, while keeping gestures on.
Go to Settings > Display > Navigation bar.
Select Swipe gestures (confirm it's on).
Tap More options (⋮ three dots) > Gesture sensitivity.
Drag the slider to Minimum (or lowest comfy level).
Test in Sky—swipes from deep inside the edge now needed.
Not samsung exclusive. I also experience it on my xiaomi pad 7. What helped was disabling battery optimisation for sky. That way it wouldn't restart completely

You have to complete all season of flight quests from flight guide to unlock all windpath exit/entrance points.

I do have it; I had it on another device, but it still won't open the camera.
You need to point your phone's rear camera to the print out or a screen that shows the image.
The camera not opening at all is their issue

I suspect its a server problem where something triggers the device to crash. I've heard a synced crash between multiple players. I'm sure tgc can fix this without a hotfix if that's the case.

We're in a constant loop of communication here. We players can't help you with account recovery. Support is your only chance. Please do accordingly and since there will be a hotfix there's a chance your system will reset your local account again and you won't get support's response. Use the website method.
