Why switching google accounts sky on android doesn’t work? And any solution for this problem?
You need to switch your play store and play games Google first

If you want to sign in with a different Google account, the game automatically logins with which account is signed in on your Play Games

Though you should be able to just sign in/switch to another Google if you click your profile name

Yes, the common supported linkings are gmail, Nintendo/PSN/steam account. Either one of those work.
Gamecenter is strictly ios.

I'm having the same problem, it's been almost 7 hours and I haven't received the pendant nor candles.
Scroll to the right of the iap menu and click restore purchases
I recommend everyone to just give it a few hours as it's currently having issues.
You can click restore purchases, this forces the game to essentially check if you're missing any paid content.
And give it some time and keep checking the iap menu, when this happens the pass you bought will say you can claim it for free in the iap shop if your payment has already gone through

Could I ask what specifically you're trying to do? Because currently if your sky account is signed in with a Google account you can't unlink/switch your saved progress to another Google.
This is more of if you share your device and someone else wants to switch to their Google and play their own sky account, they just need to sign in with a Google and ensure sky has the "ask every time sign in" option"

Ok so I know that a known issue is delayed processing of iap but what if the delay is like HOURS long? And also does anyone else have an issue where if someone sends you a heart thru a constellation you don't receive it for 2 days? My brother and I would trade hearts and I never received them until after 2 days

Try scroll to right of the iap menu and tap restore purchases.
Double check the pass shop screen, typically when it's delayed you can claim it for free from the iap menu
Don't send both light AND hearts, do one, claim, then restart and do the other. They seem pretty weird together.

We don't know if they'll give compensation or not, i would say don't be too hopeful on that

I have a similar issue, but the game redirects me to my wallet, but after I confirm transactions it says it failed to link my payment.
(I'm a Huawei user and I use Gcash, no money has left my wallet).
Keep trying to restore purchases and go to the actual Season Pass screen (like kit shows in the video), you should be able to claim the pass for free from there if your payment has went through

There are issues with sending /receiving hearts using friends constellation (and also there are issues with players creations). Is a known issue.
That issue is for all the platforms, not just Android.

Request one from Google if you paid on Android
You can try scrolling to the right of the iap menu and click restore purchases.
Check the Season Pass screen where you originally bought it, it should have a red dot and say claim free.
You can also try clearing app data though make sure you know your login info.
If none works then you can request refund directly through your playstore

What do wing buffs exactly does, do they just make it so we grind faster the next wings after the next eden, or do they permanently make our fly faster or faster "impulse"?

So when you get winged light, and go to Eden, you have to recollect them where you found them, but wing buff you get IN Eden, they are the same as wl but you get them permanently in Eden and start out with it when you grab them
What if I lose a wing buff, will I be able to buy it from the spirit I lost it?
If you lose any wing buffs, you will regain them all before you rebirth in Orbit.
Wing buffs are permanent. You do not have to purchase them again.
Do we lose wing buffs in eden too or just in the main game?

You do lose them in Eden, because you lose all wings in Eden. Wing buffs are given back to you in Orbit.

I got refunded for my SP but I'm scared to try and purchase again when so many folks are still having the same issues. I'm unable to give my freinds the pass but want to make sure we don't miss out on any more SC. Any advice? 
For anyone who hasn't received their pass yet:

Keep collecting seasonal candles through realm SC and dailies as normal and you'll be fine and get the ults at the end once the issue is resolved and you obtain the pass

Here's some things you could try:
- Restore Purchases (as shown in the picture below)
- Check if the bought item is being offered free to you in the shop and claim it (if the purchase was accessed from a spirit, I'd say check that shop specifically as well)
- If none of the two worked above then you could try clearing app data but make sure your sky account is linked up with something and you know your login details for it
- Ultimately, if none of those works then contact support

When you press Restore the game attempts to recover any bought items that are unclaimed or ones that've disappeared into thin air from your account for some reason and give it to you
Although not always successful (that's why I have other methods listed) it has helped people successfully recover their items before

Do not use Facebook, it's very buggy and that sync method should be krilled 
If you have other sync method, log in with that if possible or even try "local data" as sign in method.

Happens on switch sometimes too
Sometimes that happens because internet (or even servers) are a bit unstable. If you can, try using the white candle (sometimes it works). Btw...that is not truly an Android thing, as far as I know.

MOTOROLA G SERIES ISSUE
explained - Part 1
- If you check its GPU measurements on notebootchecker, its GPU (the graphics processing unit, not cpu - don't confuse) has weak performance.
- Manufacturers these days put on good sounding labels and a lot of cheap ram in new phones but cut costs in development and GPU prices for midrange phones. This even means older Motorola phones could be able to run Sky. Although the device has some excellent strengths in other areas, Moto G series is such a victim of Motorola's manufacturing practice. Only G series is affected, other phones from Motorola can be compatible!
- If you check creditable reviews of it on mobile phone testing website, they reveal its incompleteness in missing important Vulkan support (which is pinned as compatibility requirement in #android-questions ).
To sum up, this is a decent series but its Vulkan is significantly lacking, and that's what makes it fail to run Sky.
Update: Motorola launched a new update for G54: #android-questions message which resolved their Vulkan issue.
Try updating your phone hoping your device received a fix as well.

Principally the GPU and their software (Android 9 and check if the customization of the manufacturer has no bugs within the game, as an example Xiaomi HyperOS has bugs in rendering UI elements) , any phone with an GPU capable of Vulkan 1.0 (for mid graphics but it’s not needed) (most of recent GPUs) and preferably an recent SnapDragon or Mali GPU, TGC says 1.5GB of ram should work but I would say 2-3 at least, you can check the requirements here; https://thatgamecompany.helpshift.com/a/sky-children-of-the-light/?p=all&s=connection-performance&f=can-i-play-on-my-android-device and in pinned messages

I'll second what Penguin said! I use a Pixel 8 Pro and it handles Sky on Android as good as any iOS device, plus I love the phone overall. However, the Pro version is a bit large, so maybe go for the normal 7 or 8 if you lack pocket space

The in-game recorder's bug is probably due to Google and it has been bugged for awhile, but don't worry: there are alternatives and the in-game recorder has poor quality anyway.
Try Android's built-in screen recorder or download AZ screen recorder from Play store

I played Sky a couple years back and recently found myself wanting to get back into being a sky kid. However, I find myself unable to access my old account - I believe this is due to the fact that the google account (it was a school one, and I have long since left said school) which was linked to the Sky account got deleted. I contacted support and they said that "Since the Sky ID is already linked with a Game Service, we at Player Support are unable to offer additional avenues to access the Sky account, so if you have multiple emails you may have linked, we recommend attempting to log in with each one. If you have lost access to the linked email in question, we recommend getting in touch with your email's support team for an account recovery." This, as you guys might imagine, is really sad, so I was wondering if anyone was able to recover their account with the same/similar issue?

ive found the cause. its a bug in discord where when sharing vids or images you're gallery becomes unresponsive/cant be opened, this affects the files manager which will also cant be opened. so sky cant access the files 🌚 idk why this happens. wont be sending pictures on discord for a while then.

Hello 👋👋 I have a question. I've noticed that when I chat with someone in the game that I cannot see what I'm typing until I send it. I can see my keyboard on the right and a chat thread on the left, but when I type the words don't show up anywhere until I press send. This means I'm misspelling things and getting thrown off by bad autocorrects and I can't fix it. Any ideas how to fix this?

Or like whenever you're about to send hearts to a friend, it just can't? Even if they already claimed the heart before reset

A few months ago I got a new phone (moto g power 2023) and though I was able to install Sky, it didn't run, it froze on opening logo. I reported it through support on my old phone and followed their advice. (It did not work)
Are there others with that phone model who have any advice? I'm close to giving up that I'll ever be able to play on that phone.

Your download speed is very low which might indicate you're having package dropouts. Try on a different connection or have someone call your internet service provider
This issue can happen when your friend is in a server instance where are 8 people. A server instance can hold up to 8 players. Check whether it happens with all your friends. If not, this is the case or their connection has issues (it often happens with one of my mainland China friends who needs to use v.p.n for example)

Google account links are permanent due to security reasons, no one can unlink a Google account from your Sky account, not even player support

To change the Google account you use to log in to Sky in android you need to go to your Google Play Games and click in your profile, scroll down until you see “use another account for games” or something similar and log in with the Google account you want to use

Hello, i might've encountered a bug, but I'm not sure. I was given a heart from a friend, but i think i recieved a single candle instead of a heart. Either that or i simply didn't receive the heart.
Weren't these heart gifting bugs supposedly resolved?

Okay. Just mentioned that because Sky requires a lot of data to properly work, so even if other apps are working well, any instability of the wi fi, or package dropping of Data may cause Sky not to load or be unstable (the "yellow wi fi icon" that can be seen in game is sometimes due to that). If you can, try using a different internet source; closing apps running in the background, cleaning cache from the app may also help.
Disregard this, i just had to reopen the game, found the same heart, and it worked from there. Weird i had to do a workaround though
That workaround is what Dev's suggested, as there is a known issue with collecting the hears as in terms of they dissappearing visually, when we try to collect them from friends constellation or the numbers of our hearts don't seem to go up once we collected the gift a friend sent to us. But restarting the game shows that the heart is there to collect or, if already collected, increased the amount of hearts you have.
I'm trying to update Sky in the playstore and it shows the pending circle around the app when I click "Update" but it won't actually start updating, there are other apps that will update just fine and some don't as well just like Sky
What can I do?
Make sure you have at least 5-6 gb free space for installing big apps like Sky (the installed outcome won't be that big, though)
I have almost 8 GB of free space and I keep getting told that I don't have enough storage space for the update
I've got plenty of space left, over 120gb and I've tried installing sky on two other Android phones, I'm not sure what's going on

May I suggest you check you have Google Play and the game center -if your devices uses one- updated? A few times I've seen it has helped players.

Each app shows the version and last update. I am in game, so I can't check in my device currently. But one way is using the cog menu of your phone. Another is going to the settings of each app. And for apps that you can donwload from Google Play, you look for them and there you will find the version.
It's in settings under "About" in the google play store app
There's a little "Play Store version" thing that gives you the option to update. Mine is up to date and the install still isn't working, but it might be worth a try.
Some phones also have a gaming center (name change depending on the brand).

My device didn't have much space either, but luckily I had an SD card that I could move some apps onto to be able to download the update. I don't think there's very much you can do regarding these delta updates, I've heard some people have uninstalled and reinstalled sky. (Do not uninstall unless your account is linked to another log in method) otherwise you might have to delete some things unfortunately.

This is not a bug, this is because Motorola was cutting development costs, and as a result the device became incompatible with various apps, such as Sky. There's no way to resolve it
In a situation like this, what could I do would be to change the device for something more stable?
Is it more compatible with devices with snapdragon? What type of device will currently serve me to be able to run sky?

It's not about android update. It's because the device manufacturer didn't submit the correct hardware info for Google, therefore Play store "believes" the hardware is not compatible. If the phone manufacturer had done it right, it wouldn't be a problem. If you reported it as a bug, TGC would try to track down the data and add that as an exception to the compatibility list, I think

If your manufacturer misses to keep the necessary drivers are up to date, they will fail to handle the game because as the game gets updated, it will depend on newer version of the drivers (a patch update came out a few days ago) to keep it working with its new functions. I am happy your issue is resolved!

It should be fine for playing in mid graphics (30FPS) without any issue or at 60FPS/High graphics (30FPS) with some minimum FPS drops, as an recent phone I doubt you would find any issues in it, just have in mind that it’s customization layer (HyperOS) could have issues rendering the UI in game, but it can be solved with some tweaks in the system settings

I did some digging on the net for you. Unfortunately, there isn't a universal way to bypass Steam authorization every time you log in to a game on an Android device with a Steam-synced account. This is because Steam prioritizes security and wants to verify your login attempt each time, especially on a different device. However you can enable Steam link and check "remember me" IF you see those options. If not, there's nothing you can do
Remember me is automatically ticked, it also reset the whole thing and I had to enter my full login again, so much for remembering...
What if I used a account code?

Link your Sky progress to a different platform, and choose that as a sign in method - that will put Steam out of the picture while keeping your Steam progress synced

Why are Android and iPhone graphics different ?
This is because of android fragmentation (too many android hardware differences and screen resolutions), moreover manufacturers twist and turn their ROMs to make it unique, making it even harder to get good graphics for Sky engine. There are some high end phones or well optimized devices which are just on the right spot and almost the same!

I can't log in with my Steam acc on my phone because the game keeps restarting after I verify my acc on the Steam app. the awful e-word was what I tried to use the steam app on but it keeps crashing. is there any way I can log in properly?

If you were trying to use an ‘virtualization environment’ to run Sky and log in via there to link your Steam account please don’t risk your account, using those methods is against the ToS and can result in a permanent account ban, don’t risk your account. that is not at all what I said, now is it. I play on my PC on Steam, why would I do what you assume I did?
how is it PC related if I tried logging in on my phone with my Steam account? they can just as well send me back here.

the latter. I started playing on Steam just recently. my first and only acc is Steam acc. I decided to i stall the game on my phone and log in with my existing Steam acc. but it requires verification through the Steam app on my phone. so I go verify on my steam app that it is me trying to log in, but when I come back to the game to proceed with my log in the game restarts (cuz it was running in the background while I went to verify on steam app)
so I need a different phone just to verify so that the game doesnt restart on me. that's when I tried using the forbidden to run the Steam app on, not even Sky, but it just crashes. so guess I'll have to borrow a phone, which is definitely not optimal to say the least
Try logging in using your mail and password, not using the Steam guard QR, and if it still asks for it click in “More verification options” and chose “send Steam guard code to my email” this should make you able to access to the Steam guard code in your pc by checking your mail, you can also try opening in “picture in picture” mode your Steam app if your phone allows it

ah nvm I actually did log in with email and password (my Steam credentials). it sends you to authentication where you have to press Approve in the Steam app. and when I go back the game restarts
Any account link is managed in-game when you’re already signed in, there is not another method
bottom line my phone is old lol
I have a new phone and my gaming remote doesn't connect properly with Sky any longer. Some buttons function while the joysticks aren't registered. I've confirmed the problem isn't the remote itself using the third party tool for checking each button.
Any ideas to get this functional again?
There should be an option to get the Steam guard code instead of the Steam app verification, you can still try the “picture in picture” or “multi task side screen” mode to open Steam at the same time as Steam. As another method I think you could log in before in your browser and after logging in in your browser opening Sky and logging in, this is more an issue of not having enough ram 
logging in on Sky in my browser? now that actually could work. as for the code I tried. when you log in the game and go to Steam app it still takes tou to Approve Deny screen and tou have to press view code which takes even more time so the game restarts lol. I even tried timing it, waited for a new code before logging in, but even in that second the game restarted haha and ofc the code doesnt last long enough for the game to load and for me to type in my stuff. I might try it again, I was just doooone by then
Hi is the game still working in android 7.0
I meant logging into your Steam account trough your browser, it should save your credentials and show your account as open once you try to log into sky, but this is a low ram issue in your phone, so if that doesn’t work you’re almost out of luck 
Most probably not. Keeping android 8 and 9 compatibility is a great problem already.
Afaik android 8 and 7 support has been dropped a time ago, the minimum requirements state android 9

Found that my phone was still storing deleted stuff so I've finally deleted deleted stuff. Now it's reloading. Finally.

Its not even phone issues most people playing have ios or high quality androids saying that is phone problem when some people can play even genshin impact its kinda nuh uh
I did not understand much from this word cunami, but confusing genshin is a very old mistake. That's a completely different game engine, it displays elements very differently.
Sky has its own graphics engine, it's a give or take
This happened in wind path, not candle bug this time but the quest reactivated itself (strange since you need to sit to reactivated it) without no one is in the Wind Path. Idk if this a bug? Not a server merged btw
