Interesting, but I think it could be the opposite. Maybe krills come from somewhere else (maybe they have a tie with the shadows in Fire Trial ) but I presume they could have been feeding on clouds (which are an infinite source of light/energy for us).
With the arrive of the Sky Kingdom and the growing city lights they got attracted by those tasty artificial lights (basically like wildlife Anthropization is drawing more animals towards dumpsters to search food irl) thus changing the original Krills foodchain and feeding on all energy and creatures they found in GW (because now they would never return on feeding on tasteless clouds it would be like eating broccoli )

It could also be the reason why the 3 krills felt the energy flowing into the GW temple door and decided to scout into that direction for food

Has the entire lore revolve around him, and might have reincarnated into skykids. And megabird is the god basically. Appears in the credits as like a star cluster or someting.

The prince (Alef) is the sky kid that falls from the sky or the first sky kid. Megabird sent him as a falling star at isle of dawn (we can see it at a spiritual memory). The prince quickly completes the trials and after he mines and start using dark stone he is crowned king and changes his name to Resh

My theory, as always, is that Vault is also the entrance to Eden as the starting part of Eden itself is at the top of Vault if you play straight through.
It's also a portal to alternate worlds, which is why we can access Office, and potentially the Little Prince's world in the next season. However due to the amount of energy required to retain the physical form of Vault, Eden is in shambles, hence why we gotta give light to the Fallen. But who exactly is the fallen? is it just the sky kids who failed? or perhaps when it meant 'Give the light to the fallen' it meant the King . About the Fallen Statues

There's something interesting about your statued skid when you die in Eden

Try checking in Eden right after an Eden Run

Before reset, you'll see something new

Like, if you saved all statues and stuff, return to Eden before statues are reset, there's a new chnage there

I wanna mention something about us becoming a statue now, but I cant mention it since not many people know about this new change rn

But I can say is that I don't think we are the Fallen

There's a very subtle detail when we turn into a statue that indicates that we aren't like the Fallen

(Prince=Our Skid still lives )

I have the personal theory/headcanon that actually the statues are other skykids just like us that went to eden, and that every time we "die" we become a new statue and we stay in there until a new skykid arrives and gives us their light to free us again and allow us to reach orbit

From this point of view the moment where we fall in darkness is brief to us, but maybe a lot of time has actually passed in the eye of eden since we "died".

I think that's why we "embrace" this new light in us, which is the one that will allow us to keep on going

actually, if we die outside of eden, we get sent to a similar black area with a simgle winged light. It could be that our very soul is fused to a piece of light so we can save ourselves.

Sky is about helping others, but its also important to help ourselves.

Ok so my current theory is that the downfall of the kingdom was gradual at first, dark byproducts disposed of through the pipes leading into the wasteland. The dark water buildup kills off everything and attracts dark creatures over time. They send warriors to fight them off and it eventually turns into a full scale war, resulting in the battlefield ruins. The dark creatures win, perhaps timed with or powered up by the power source in Eden melting down or exploding or something

It would make much sense, if Eden becuase start form the ground of this planet, the sun cannot be between the beacon and us
It would meant that sun to be inside the planet atmosphere

But maaaybe... it's just a question of magnitude of light... the light of the sun is so bright that is perceived more than the beacon light (much like irl, the lights of the stars are not visble at day, because the ligth of the sun is relatively stronger, because it's closer)
