I feel like it wouldn't be so bad if the timings weren't different for different parts. I've noticed that, for instance, when you're not so deep in, the thunder that you'd think would signal the rain usually comes at the end, for whatever reason? I'm fairly reliant on sound, so that throws me off every time.

I think so. Walking seems slower, and you do still get knocked down a bit, but it happens less from my experience.

I’ve also heard the bit of advice to zigzag if you can, but I’ve never thought to see if that changes anything.

That’s a good idea for certain. Eden is doable alone, but even if you just kind of attach yourself to a group and follow, it makes things a lot more manageable.

mental note: when ||pnr|| is encountered, do not jump. move diagonally in a zig-zag, and run. i know it is hard to resist the temptation, but do not jump if you want to be able to save the statue closest to the diamond crystal

the real lifehack is to bring someone with you and scream as much as you can, you can keep light going and not lose wl for a long time

I have tried that once with a friend a long time ago. Iirc there was no strong wind once we hit a certain height and I was able to fly towards the diamond but I flew back to the starting point before I could actually reach the diamond because I didn't wanna risk falling into the constant rock rain area.

If you're on Switch and can handle pressing multiple buttons you can move, jump, and deep call at the same time but I highly discourage jumping at that part. Just move and deep call. It can help keep your friends lit up very slightly but they will lose light faster than they recover it.

last time - 1 or 2 weeks ago - i went with 158 wings and managed to get all statues with plenty wl left over, but i've heard you can go with as little as 120-130. as long as you know where the statues are and don't lose unnecessary wings before the endless rock rain (also - don't jump in rock rain, i used to but stopped. it definitely makes a difference in the amount of times you get hit), you should be able to get all of them .

We unlocked chat in the WL tunnel and he was so confused once we went to the rock rain portion, about all the WL he was losing to statues and rocks. I explained everything and we went forward into the constant rock rain area together. Here we are right after waking up.

I got so stuck in the rocks and darkness dragons to the point where I wanted to reset and let the two other players I was with go on without me (I must have been blown away and struck about 5 times 😣). Oh wow today was kinda of wild ride for eden.. lots of moths around. One of the ones that i met followed me into pnr and made it to the endless rain.. there's a point in the rain with a totally safe spot where I waited and long called for them (they had stayed at the lantern until this point)
They made it to the spot just as they lost their cape we were standing with each other for about a moment before they became a statue.. i bowed and did the respect emote a few times before going back into the rain..
One of the more emotional experiences I've had with Eden. They were also holding on to their other moth friend a lot, they stayed holding hands through as much as they could

The ending is the best so far I experience in mobile games. Sky are unique and the eden tho....i thought I had to reach the light literally until I just gave up but save quite a lot of them. If you're implying deep calling to keep your friend or a stranger alive, yes, it keeps them alive longer and they will stay alive for much longer than when having no light source, but they will unable to be brought back to life. Once they've lost their last wing, they will turn to stone and spectate any players remaining that are still alive until all players are dead or 5 minutes or so have passed.

I've recently decided to try to do eden runs at least once a week instead of once every few months, for no particular reason besides wanting to spice up my playthroughs

Pretty much, you're in the area to save as many statues as you can before you succumb to the rocks. The more statues you save, the higher rewards you get during ascension. One of the big spoilers for Eden is the area you're currently in and is one of the story arcs that explain how Sky is about Altruism. You're there to give everything to save others while you slowly die.

You're meant to stay until you lose all of your lights, then you are rewarded based on how many statues you were able to save before then

You're in the point of no return. The message prompt before you enter warns you cannot do anything else in the game until you finish that area. It's okay, once you get to the bright starry place, you get to buy wing buffs with the currency you acquire saving the statues so each time you do eden and buy those buffs, you become stronger.

After a few minutes, if the player doesn't die, there will be a prompt to continue alone. The game is programmed to ensure groups of players don't split during this part. If you're not part of the group, that prompt will let you move on alone.

Not many. You're in the "ascent" part now. You will fly up to "orbit" after hugging the child and be in the starry place where you can buy and retrieve wing buffs. Then there will be a door to "finish" Eden.

There is a spot where you will fly with spirits and NPC skykids, bump next to them to get regular candle wax.

She told me we couldn't hold hands after point of no return, and I believed it. But I could, then I realized she was giving me a test run for my first time, and she allowed me to follow her. She told me right before the endless rock rain that "from here on out, you just need to keep going, no matter what." I knew it meant that it would be the end of my journey into Orbit.

Heheheeee i found a secret. In orbit, I wanted to go down like a shooting star so i did, i ended up finding some invisible water [common in OOB areas], and i found something interesting.

Here's my skydiving down from orbit, it took a lot of willpower and then some, but I ended up getting down there anyway

I found a strange star that looked more like a crack in the wall. Turns out, it was a low poly manta.

But I found something very strange

This is under the invisible water. These orbs are used to make the stars, but then I made another discovery.

I'd recommend minimum 40 or 45 to get at least some statues. I'd say 80+ if you want to get most of the statues. And probably over 100 if you really want to get every single one. Can be done with less but harder if you're not so experienced with Eden.

If it's your first time going though, it's probably best to just go and get a feel for it and not worry so much about getting as many AC, since you'll be able to go more times in the future. Once you know what you're doing it'll be easier to get them when you go again

The cutscenes would be the same (except the cutscene at orbit showing the skykids you have saved; the number of skykids in that cutscene is the number of statues you have given light to). The more statues you save, the more ascended candles you can get. Each statue you save gives 0.25 ascended candles.

Dear Skycord.
Just a short while ago, I did an Eden run with four other people. I was unable to get a clean screenshot of the whole group at once, though I did friend them and screenshot the run itself.
I got very emotional this time, despite having run Eden before. At one point, I was seperated from the group, low on light and hiding in a large pipe. The abyss-coat Skykid I entered Eden with (named Helperfriend in the third screenshot) backtracked halfway across the area to come help me catch up.
If anyone here was a part of this group, I just want to say... It was an absolute blast. Thanks for sticking with me the whole way through. I'm still super proud of myself for managing to light the very last statue all the way at the crystal- It was a VERY close call, even a moment longer and I wouldn't have made it!
(And, if you're curious, the names I gave everyone were Heckmoth, Edenclown, Purpleden and Helperfriend. I think it's easy to tell who was who.)

Not being able to give your winged lights usually means you've already gone to eden this week. Try going back again after eden resets

What they meant is that you always lose regular winged lights before you actually lose your wingbuff. And "buying them back" is misleading because all you need to do if you lose wingbuffs is reclaim them in orbit. Buying implies you need to spend currency to get them back.
