This has happened to me before, it only required me to restart the game and was able to enter it without issues. I suggest you try and try. It doesn't hurt

That has nothing to do with it, the area and the cape's teleport function is locked behind the completion of the 5th quest

This iridescent cape will receive an added special teleport ability in the 0.24.5 update. This becomes usable after completing all of the Season’s quests, transporting the wearer and friends they hold hands with to a tranquil location where they can view the magical creature.

Yes, being logged in with Facebook causes errors when trying to link other methods. You can try clearing the game cache and restarting the device and then immediately logging in again and trying to link. It's quite finicky though.
Also facebook is having sign-in propblems right now, i think.

But i know by chance they named me since i told them my name, would they see me in their friendlist and be able to join me then? Though i havent seen em after it

Reading the QR showed the null issue. I was the one who scanned the QR.
But another friend could read mine.
I was guessing that if an Android does the scanning, it turns out null?
