If you know how to enter “step mode” (where a circle will appear around the feet of your character) on your device, you can use it to more easily reposition yourself and drop off of ledges instead of trying to jump directly off.

Step mode doesn't help when you're trying to jump to a floating platform on the same y axis as you, but that'll help me getting stuck on towers, thanks!

It definitely involves a lot of familiarizing and feeling out the physics. You can glide after you’ve been in the air for a bit, which will help you reach the long distance candle jumps easier.

I know you made it now, but I find that for the final jump of air trial, you get better launches if the final platform is in its lowest position. The flight mode was already mentioned, but try aiming for the right most side of the statue island (by the statue) and spam jump to latch on to the edge.
(if you get a big enough launch, you can go straight to the WL island)

did the spirit shrine purple before you relieved it? if yes then that was a past seasonal spirit and does not show up in the constellation, only spirits which shine blue (base game spirits) will shine up in your constellation

yes thats a spirit from a past season, the season of rhythm, to get its cosmetics and ungraded expressions you have to wait for it to come back as a ts (traveling spirit)
