Good rule of thumb is to have a tuner. You can get free ones as apps on your phone. Although professional musicians usually use dedicated tuners and metronomes that you pay for separate from your phone.

So about the staff. There’s two main staffs: treble and bass. You do read the notes a bit different on each staff so keep that in mind. But for beginners, it’s best to focus on treble clef (the squiggly looking one) since that’s the absolute most common you’ll see. And the flute, ocarina, almost any other wind instruments read in treble clef

Yes there are other staffs like alto and tenor but they’re rarely seen and only for very particular instruments

Here’s a good acronym to remember: every good boy does fine. E G B D F are all the notes on the lines. That way, you can know what the line notes are and figure out the rest from there

2) sky music's sheet displayer - head to https://sky-music.herokuapp.com/sheetDisplayer.html, then upload the lost woods sheet you downloaded and print it/save as a pdf, then open up that file

I can confirm the UI is a lot better. The notes are much easier to hit. You no longer hit the objects behind you while playing.

Just like @chrome viper said, you need to root your phone if you want to use screen recording feature with internal audio from an app if your phone still can't record from internal audio 🙏 or wait for ios update because in my case, i got my screen recording feature with internal audio after i update the ios.

The notes display their corresponding buttons/inputs if you are playing on switch. They're the same as for playing with a controller on mobile though (though not all Android/iOS controllers will have the same inputs enabled in sky, which might be why mobile doesn't display)

just dm the !song command to skybot and it will give you the directions on how to proceed there if you're confused about how to input notes, skybot accepts the ABC1-5 format (explained by nagati here - #sky-music message). if you need any other help, feel free to ask here again
