Can't tell. It used to be the least expensive Dark item, and now it's the most expensive on one of the Dark trees. But I already had it, so I still do, and that means I can't see the price.

On the other hand, it used to be AP-only and is now FTP.

It makes the season more expensive for a specific weird subset of people: those who bought cosmetics at the old (higher) prices when the new blessings weren't even available. In Beta, that includes people who were power-grinding like me and many others, but in Live it won't be anyone, because they'll start with these new prices from the very beginning.

This is Beta. Things change sometimes. We're told to expect it and roll with it. That's part of the price we pay for being in Beta: we take the surprises and the changes and the occasional raw deals so that Live doesn't have to.

I disagree with the new mechanic of "helping/healing" players when their light is out;
I imagined honking as a way of projecting light outwards like somewhat as a form of echolocation to find our way around and where each other are across the map ( Our light guides us after all ), the honk can also be used to see in dark places such as fire trial
I thought we could project light outwards as a way of healing too. Being that the little or big "bubble" that appears around us when we honk being a thin wave of light, healing eachothers light when we come into contact with it.
( Very sorry for poor wording, but I hope what I'm trying to say comes across )

I see it as, the most of prophs storytelling was the wall murals - the enviroment - much like this is the eruption. But theres nothing telling us why this eruption is happening. If we are to engage in a story there must be something in the environment to show us why eden is suddenly blowing up. Even if its subtle. But alas the only clue we have is that it is happening. But then theres a large portion of the fan base who doesnt want direct copies or even similar designs of old lots comming back. Theres newer players who are sad they missed those past ults. So no one will ever be happy and I think we have to understand that something we dislike because we have the "original version", may be someone else's most beloved cosmetic because it ressembles a past season they where unable to participate in

That’s the issue. People believe that these 'spirits' must function in the same way as previous ones and that they must be added to the ts pool. That is not just ambiguous, but also unapproved. Developers themselves are still brainstorming how these new 'spirits' will work. We don’t really know much at this time.

That.. actually would make a lot of sense, imo. if the GQ is gonna stay somewhere for future newcomers to experience the quests (like past seasons), it makes logical to have access to the void where these cosmetics may be purchased with regular candles. Both, sort of. Once a quest is done, you sit to meditate and it takes you to the quests end, where you can find the quest giver and from there, warp to the area with the "spirits". You can also warp to this area (The Void) from the qg in Home.

Iirc, the murals were there after they fixed the floor is lava bug and we could start testing the trials. They were just not aligned properly on the walls and did get edits throughout development. I.E. we got the story day 1. We just needed to wait for all the trials to open to get the full story. (Quests unlocked/time gated) Edit: checked my day 1 fire trial footage (day 1 meaning the day fire trial unlocked) before anything was added in it... (No walls, checkpoints were a placeholder mesh, etc) Murals were there.

Prophecy/Dreams: 70 days, 330
Flight: 77 days, 390 (70 day edit: 348)
Abyss: 70 days, 350
Performance: 77 days, 388 (70 day edit: 346)
Unofficial shattering: ~77 days 388 (70 day edit: 346)

Overall seasons have gotten more expensive and time demanding from Flight onwards, staying at around 350/389 for 70/77 days. For perspective, Enchantment had 6 spirits at 286(!)

This grind creep is rough on both new and old players.

If tgc wants to change seasons as we know it with shattering, I hope they consider experimenting with pricing more along with gameplay.

You’re correct, tgc’s downfall with sky is that they essentially made a console game for mobile, There are many limitations. Not to say they haven’t done an absolutely great job though! How did any significant part of playerbase feedbacked positively the addition of crawling and making Eden's hardest part longer, or wings shed icon? I suppose game changes are made in mind with making the game more engaging. We all know that many new players already stop playing this game after first Eden gameplay and the rest mostly avoids it in live at all possible cost because it's already a frightening and long chore. Eden should be challenging but not a helpless long suffering. In endless rain the only "challenge" (I'd rather say frustration) is visibility issue because of rocks and dark colors and that's already a long part. Adding longer time (thanks to crawling) to that annoying suffering is just making it worse.

It would be great to make Eden more engaging, because adding cinematic effects don't help at all in it, moreover if it adds to the time spent in Eden, it's making it even worse, even if it makes sense.

So far it's one of the most advance and most beautiful game I have ever seen in terms of its own type of game play.

First positives.. I think cosmetics this season are beautiful.. I love light vs dark...I really like the idea of the shards landing and having to help the kingdom get back to 'normal'..
Infinity room and the metal creatures is super stunning.
Negatives.. I can never find the forking shards. I've tried on the hour and half hour and now I've just spent 40 mins zooming around SD and nothing. I know I'm not the only one who is struggling with locations as I collecting people as I went around and they had no idea either..
Eden = no.. just no.

One of my main issues (& it's been raised this morning) is I will normally play for 30 - 40 mins due to battery life etc, but if I spend that time just doing Eden or finding the forking shards I won't progress in the rest of the game..
I'm a little frustrated if I'm honest... harrumph... 😞

i do think eden is a LOT better now compared to the first couple builds and i personally would be fine with it as is, love the pre-lit statues especially. but yeah as much as i love the emotional kick eden + ascension give me it sure does take a Long time and the crawling doesn't help (at least i don't get stunlocked for a minute straight anymore)

and i will say this game is not nearly as bad as some other daily games, we're pretty lucky in that regard i think

What seem to work well with the current buggyness with the shard task is to wait 5-9 mins for the plants to disappear/ appears, and then try to burn them.

By that time the crystal crabs walk far away and don’t bug you during the clean up process

The small shards were invisible so we kept running into them by accident

Does it? I must be a little de-sensitized, doesn't look as scary to me. In my last feedback I was begging them to meet us halfway: give us an Injured mechanic but don't take away mobility so we can still sort of avoid further danger even while injured. This is progress to my eyes hehe, it can still stand improvement though. I think the red icon shouold pulse wider and faster to convey more urgency. You'll see in the clip I had to honk back there to locate the injured player when I got mobbed by crabs.

Yep. The crystals seem to stop flashing about 9 minutes after they land (give or take a few seconds), and then you can burn them, but that's an awfully long wait.

I have a theory that it's 32,767 frames after landing (about 9 minutes 7 seconds), but it's hard to verify the exact numbers. It does seem to be roughly 9 minutes though.

Yea, the rockrain gets too extreme by the time you're running low in the Live version.

And the main reason to go through Eden is for Ascended Candles, which have an alternative method now anyways, so... it's just kinda there.
(And also to get wingbuffs but you need AC for that.)

i played eden before downloading this current build so idk how it is Right Now, but as of the previous build i personally think it's fine for solo players. not sure about moths, but the rock rain in the first part is a Lot more kind. the pre-lit statues also help a lot too

The problem is it's already long (and terrifying for moths). Now they added additional minutes of crawling.

On the top of it: try to get into cover while crawling if you miscalculated your move and got severe hit. It's far from ideal

i can't speak for moths of course but for the rest of us it's a slight inconvenience that people are being too pressed over imo. eden isn't even a daily thing, it's weekly and you dont ecen have to do it every week if you don't want to

of all the videos i saw on YT and beta screenshots there were many in which players were jumping in the continuous rain. It is like head butting the rocks. We don't jump in storm!!

Spend some time frequently on #questions-and-help . New players often come asking frightened. Even older players try to avoid Eden. This is far from right unfortunately

For older players, I feel like the avoidance of Eden is more related to not wanting to go through the trouble to recollect winged lights again. I'm usually able to get through it fine on my own, but I rarely do it because it can take a while and I'm lazy lol

And anyway if players rush as a moth that's when they lose interest in game because there's nothing new to do. No moth would require 10 AC/week. even if they make a lot of frnds (initial nodes are cheaper and ppl usually contribute) or get TS, 8-10 ACs are not bad

I also personally don't like large Seasonal area that you need to explore to get the spirits, and when you stuck you just had to go to YouTube and watch tutorial where should I get the spirits everytime a new season came. It's very tedious
