It's good to take a moment and remember that in the case of this beta news, the instrument IAPs are just a portion. There are other changes that are beneficial such as new gameplay with the music sheet quests, which I hope to see more of! As well as that chat priority bug finally getting fixed.

Indeed. And generally any game that has micro-transactions will want to provide it's "whales" with options. But it doesn't mean that you are forced to buy them-especially in the case of these new instruments since their IGC versions are already available, or will be available in the future. I hope this makes sense, I'm trying to guess at some reasonings.

Explaining the funtap logo

So funtap is a Vietnamese game publisher, just like netease with the China version

Games legally published in Vietnam according to laws require the company developed it to have a headquarter/base in Vietnam OR to have a Vietnamese company distributed it. There are two main reasons for this 1) taxes 2) content censorship (although Vietnam's censorship is not as strict as China I believe)

We global players can ignore that to be honest

tgc cannot legally distribute sky in china due to censorship laws. china itself is very much locked out on the internet globally. so, tgc partners with netease, a chinese app distributor, so that mainland chinese players can play. but because of this, the games are separated into 2 different servers

I think they could still be considered small, as far as I know I believe they are sub-100 members still. If you consider that next to giants like Sony, Blizzard, FromSoftware, Square Enix, Nintendo who have thousands of employees: they're pretty small. But compared to other companies such as indies who consist of 4 people, they may be quite large!

I believe TGC is rather small though in the category of a game company providing a Live Service MMO game, rather than a one-off game, or an offline game, compared to other companies who run a Live MMO game.

• no sane person is buying a reskin of a IGC non-seasonal item for any amount of real money
• speaking of IGC cosmetics i think having new ones that weren’t seasonal would be great but that’s never going to happen, there’s not really any room to put new 24/7 items anyways

I'm not a fan of the cookie cutter look for myself either, but sometimes it can be worth a try talking or doing an emote party with someone who is dressed as such. They may genuinely be wearing that outfit because they enjoy the look, not because they think they are more special. I've met many kind souls who dress in that typical look, but don't act elitist. Be sure not to judge every book by its cover.

The bugle was taken back for a future release so we're not sure-it may change in the future. Currently it does have the same unique sound as it did in previous beta updates (those who bought it before still own it). The Handpan is confirmed that it will have a different sound though, if that helps.

Sky definitely relies heavily on the players to create their own fun or creativity, in fact it tries to encourage it a lot recently. We can see this in the Performance Stage, Memory Candles, Shared Spaces. But I don't think you're necessarily wrong either. I'm hopeful we'll get some new gameplay types in the future. Perhaps more trials like Prophecy, or more rhythm game style quests such as the music sheets, or something else that you may have in mind? At least, rhythm gameplays for those who are musically-challenged, speaking for a friend.

i totally understand this. not everybody has the time to play sky for 1 hour a day, especially if they have adulting to do, or responsibilities and duties. what healthy game playing is, is always subjective to different people at different stages in life. i always feel we should play within our means, whether it’s time-wise or money-wise. if you can afford to spend on the season comfortably and save the time for other tasks at hand, including using that time to make more money, i would say why not. i myself have had a really busy schedule and moving forward it will get even busier, so i will probably be buying some of the spirit trees too, especially the two i really liked.

It's not clear exactly when something is or isn't because it's not mentioned as a current known issue with this most recent build. Either way, when I start it I don't equip an instrument and no music sheet comes up and there's no way to exit.

Thanks @sand zephyr I reported in a previous build the same issue with the music quest. I had to teleport home because there was no way to unstick the camera. It's not listed as a known issue in this build so I think I'll report it again. It worked one time I got to try but now it's borked again lol

In case you're asking about not being able to buy candle packs in beta, that's normal. There are no candle packs except for those that come with other items.

Chat can still misalign itself in the chat history ui (with controllers) but it's not that frequent anymore unlike the previous build

can someone tell me how is it working that some people get spam of seasonal candle in beta? how to trigger this?

Those are not legit ways of acquiring candles. If possible, feel free to report them.

i mean when abyss was in beta i got 6000 seasonal candles just for playing they started to fall from sky the same happened now with passes for me i have 300 seasonal gift passes now thats why i want to know how to get those 6000 candles again

You can't get them through legitimate means. There was a bug back during Abyss testing that caused all those gift passes and then candles to trigger. The bug has been fixed by TGC and they have yet to reset the candles.

The aim of beta isn't to get all items. Devs always say that if we don't have time for beta, focus on Live instead. Try to test the most important things from the update patches.
