I am unsure if you mean that beta started during Enchantment, which isn't true. Beta started in early 2018, almost a year and a half before iOS worldwide release. There was a progress wipe in June 2019. But after that all seasons have been tested in beta, although not all ultimates could be obtained.

yes, foxband also has deer mask in beta - for instance. people have also been given old ults specifically for testing purposes. usually I would just report anyone you suspect is breaking tos regardless of if they are actually doing so, as the report itself doesn’t matter as long as they are legit

It's good to keep in mind that many gaming companies work closely with content creators to make their games more visible. In doing that, it is often needed to provide said creator with items/currency so that they can...you know, create content. So please don't be mad at Nastymold or any other future collaborator. This is normal in the gaming industry.

Thoughts on memory candles :
1st. Limiting the radius against important items, like red candles, dark plants, etc. , so that things like putting the memory candle on the dailies shrine is not possible to do. I don't think controller players ( especially switch ) need any more suffering with the clashing pop ups :(

So they can't pull levels, open doors or burn things at the time you are watching them but they can show how they did it in the past

i know the memory candles are still super buggy and a lot cancels or breaks them, but it'd be super cool if someday we could basically create our own spirit memories for strangers and friends to try to follow and relive

during these kinds of memories you can either get two modes to choose from for the person reliving your memory to play through:

1. basic follow like in normal spirits, where you can place specific points in the memory the the recording freezes, and they'll have to go up and touch your recorded self where you froze so that the memory will continue
   (this would also be cool to see real spirits someday do)

2. memory only continues to play as long as they move with your recorded self, so when they touch your recorded self, the memory will continue playing for 5 more seconds, but then stop until they touch it again. If they walk constantly alongside your memory, then the recording will play seamlessly
   (this would also be great for real spirits to have/do)
   .
   This would be great to have for us to basically create our own fun gameplay levels, and maybe really popular ones could get officially verified, and beating those player memories would give you, say, 10 gifts of light for the heart meter, or maybe just something lazy like a random spell, depending on the difficulty of the memory.
   Memories of your friends don't need to be verified, and can be played for 5 gifts of light
   (to counter grinders abusing this, you can only earn this once per day from each friend, and can only live up to 3 friend's memories)

Considering that normal IAP usually costs like around $10-$20 USD I’d say that AP prices and what you get is usually fair… a few ults, extra candles, extra items that can take years to return. In the grand scheme of sky pricing it’s a pretty good deal (at least for USD)

I have been playing Sky since launch and I experience the increased battery drain as new seasons (and maps) are getting added. It got worse since the update file jumped from 1GB to 1.5GB (not sure which season it started with). And after Season of Performance it feels worse again. Anyhow, I drop it in beta feedback.

Scrapping seems like a waste. I think the concept behind them is genuinely fun, and for the most part I've enjoyed them. I'd like to see if they try implementing some restrictions first on placement, limiting the amount per area, and perhaps changing the model, and see if those tweaks can help make these candles feel more comfortable.

Sometimes I feel like being a loner, partly because of how Sky reminds me of Journey, There are even times when I wish I could play Sky offline.

Part of the reason for that offline option is I can have bad wifi problems in my area. There are dead spots in the town and our wifi can drop out.

Well, theoretically, the entire game, aside from ur candles and multiplayer, and missions? , is offline
All the map data is stored locally. Any meditation activation spots (except home teleport I haven't tried) works offline

The game is technically playable offline

Aside from the fact that you don't gain candles, wl, or anything that require the connection

But the maps are playable
And sometimes when the meditation spots don't work, they work magically once you go offline (and back online soon after

This chat has me missing the good old days before release when things were much less busy and the developers frequently were here. Back then, when I reported some graphics glitches, they were fixed within a few days. Over the past few years, things have gotten worse.
When I reported problems in a mandatory seasonal cutscene in 2020, it wasn't fixed when that stage was released in live six weeks later. It was patched in live two weeks after that,

to be fair, TGC has been working pretty much exclusively from home since the pandemic began. I believe one of the devs mentioned they haven't been in the actual office for a long time

still, there is absolutely a huge difference in this server environment, player experience, and TGC communication since January 2020 (which is when I joined)

Man, this is making me miss my Light Awaits friends so much... They were like guides and guardians when I joined beta in June 2019.

The biggest example has to do with Eden. Back then there weren't good prompts to do the statues in the red rain, so I did Eden twice without getting ANY Ascension candles. When two LA friends found out, they went out of their way to do a full Eden run with me. That is why I love to help other players do Eden. I have done Eden up to five times in a week to help friends out.
