Still trying to comprehend the TOS breaking. Someone is gifting an IAP. It would be different than the part of the TOS that prohibits sale or trades of items, currency, etc. If someone is paying a friend to gift them an IAP, wouldn't that just counter the cost the friend spent? Or are you suggesting other foul play?

I get what you're saying also. Sadly, players already break the TOS by giving out their login credentials for friends to buy them cosmetics, which really breaks the TOS (no one but yourself is supposed to have access to your account). In darker parts of social media, people give hearts for AP already. These things happen and TGC does have a system in place to track and ban this behavior and I'm sure the IAP gifting would be tracked also.

But so many people break the rules that they can't possibly catch every person :(

Personally, I think the safety element with the IAP gifting outweighs the risks (which already exist via other avenues to begin with) — the main effect of the addition in my mind is that it prevents data corruption arising out of people trying to give their friends something in-game

when egregious bugs like this happen, we generally reset currencies. We communicate that resets and wipes will happen clearly in #beta-faq. This is why we actively discourage people from farming excessively in beta, that time is much better spent elsewhere.

It's beta, beta is for testing, I understand that your currencies may have been obtained through normal, legitimate game play, but that is why we warn people not to get attached to anything on beta because it can be wiped at any time. Outside of testing periods, it's truly a better use of your time to do that farming on Live.

Resets can and will happen, especially any time there are bugs that wreck the candle economy and negatively impact testing or information gathering. I cannot emphasize this enough: Use that time in Live or doing other things. You owe it to yourself to be respectful of your time.

I intentionally sought out candles and dark plants, tried forging after one or multiple candles were saved up. After my reboot, the infinite forging just wasn't happening. So not sure that candles are what cause it specifically... Thinking something related though. Or it really could just be a dice toss ^^;

It's probably saving you some headaches not seeing it in action, because the way it behaves is completely nonsensical: your gift passes also increase with wax collection, but with no definable relationship to the wax you collect (I thought it was one gift pass per wax ball collected, but I already had 4000+ passes before reaching 1 chevron, which is around 2000 wax pieces )

Close your game, and log back in. With some luck, the values will be at their max and not actually accumulating upwards any further, but I don't know if waiting to log back in has any influence on that

My guess is that the candles and APs aren't accumulating in real time, but that the game's just showing an animation of them rapidly increasing up to a value that's already been credited to your account (assuming it's behaving similarly to what happens when a large chunk of seasonals convert into white candles)

Yes is a bit hard get out of wind tunnel, but is a lot more fast for navigate the map.

This effectively ruins candle runs because people can't access these realms without the game crashing. Is this considered a bug worth a priority to fix because it effectively ruins gameplay, or will we be stuck with this for a few months due to Nintendo not allowing hotfixes more than once a year? This worries me a LOT because I'm locked out of the Hidden Forest and thus cannot even get into the Season of Flight area.

This happened across most android devices not long back. I'm sure tgc is currently trying their best to solve the issue. It's best not to worry, when this happened on android it only took a week to fix and compensation was provided in both regular and seasonal candles.

Hey there^^ Almost everyone here are regular players like you are and can't do anything about the issue. Bugs take time to fix as well, so sending a bug report to let them your device is being affected is the best thing you can do right now. I know it's frustrating considering the up coming double heart event but nothing can be done rn other than wait for the developers to fix it

It's a feature that we'll most likely be testing for awhile. Kind of like Daily Light. We tested it since Dreams testing iirc, but it didn't release for live until way later.

Im pretty positive I got normal ones at the start of the bug. But maybe only like 10 or 15 or so. I know they weren’t Seasonal cause I didn’t have any after. But I didn’t know how many I had before so I’m not positive how many. I just heard the ding ding ding when I got to home and it stopped before I could hit record.
