I knew about this part of the drama. I’m perfectly fine with IAPs. My only beef is IAPs being layered with candles to make them more expensive. It’s ridiculous. Like the Flower packs. There was no reason that those needed to cost $20.

IE: I don’t buy candle packs because I don’t need candles so I don’t want to spend on something I don’t want.

Issue crops up now where the Umbrella and Lantern should also cost about $10-$15 but they come with candles to seemingly fluff up the package. I will probably buy those tho considering the item itself actually has usage value.

Everything should be considered a luxury as that’s what it is. No one really has the right to argue something’s value as that is truly determined by whether or not people buy it in the long run. I’ve bought close to everything so far and the most valuable one to me personally were the antlers. They are well worth my money. I wear them every day. I just wish I didn’t have to feel like I’m spending an extra $5 on candles I don’t want when I buy an umbrella that should cost $15 but oh well.

I think they add the candles to IAPs just to make them seem more valuable and justified, i don’t think it affects the price. But the way you feel is valid. I think TGC just wants to price them 20 dollars and make it more marketable by adding candles

It feels less marketable to us who play every single day to add things we don’t want/need to the pack, but overall we seem to be the minority with how many people we see crying that 200 candles for a previous IAP that you have 11 weeks to save for is too much. Or that 70 Candles is expensive for a TS item when 2 weeks of easy work is well over 200 candles if you actually play each day for only 1 hour.

I never said they were. I said it makes some of us feel that way. The items feel like they should cost around $10-$15 and it FEELS like they add candles to make it a tiny bit more expensive.

IE most IAPs seem to be $15 which I’m generally fine with. I don’t much complain about a $15 Cape.

Maybe? I definitely feel the Umbrella is at least worth $20 on it own. Heck, I bought the bloom tea set for $20 too. It generally seems to be the item in the pack with candles that is the issue, rainbow charity would have been fine if it were the cape in that $20 pack instead of a flower, but that’s my opinion. I’d have bought it if it felt like the item was worth the price tag.

I think the flower was priced like that and also kept as the donation cosmetic to keep a tradition of last year’s medical donation (sorry i forgot the name) event. I think they should’ve done better with the colors of it and maybe add the cape as a pack like the Lunar New Year pack, while keeping it available for f2p users, since the rainbow cape is a huge thing everyone that this event was intended for. It’d be a bit sad if people couldn’t use it to dress themselves because they don’t have money but still affected by the issues donations are trying to change!

I just used examples of packs that have extra candles. Sadly those are limited. I don’t feel like lantern is worth the $20 but umbrella I do because it’s large and also has in game effects that can benefit tiny moths. It’s hard to explain. I don’t like packs being fluffed with items that make it seem like it makes the pack worth more to seemingly justify a larger price tag. Lantern is a decent example.

I only use flower as an example of another item I wouldn’t generally pay a huge price for. A cape is $15 and I’ve never complained about those.

A friend of my is stuck and she can’t fly up, what to do? She tried to go home and do the Eden glitch, but the fly / jump button doesn’t appear at the “dark room” when you hugged that kiddo and you need to fly up..

One current workaround involves your friend bringing a chat prop with them into the dark room, or else a chat table spell -- use that to get some elevation so she can "hop" off a higher point and get carried by the light

you aren't paying 20$ for the flower no more than you pay money for a sticker with a charity's name on it. the goal is to raise money for a good cause. of course some people care more about cosmetics than charity so for them, the cost of the outfit item is worth the price. it's completely valid to feel that the product is not worth the price if the charity has no meaning or impact for you when it comes to making purchase decisions. in cases like that, if the value of what you receive not worth the pricetag, the logical decision would be to abstain from making a purchase.

when it comes to prop prices, they're fairly standardized at $20, the candles are just to make the pack be more attractive. removing the candles from the bundle would not reduce the price of the item for sale.

On another note, when you have all of the season finished (all spirits 100% and the sword pants purchased), does the (?) on the constellation give a "You've completed the season" message like in assembly?
I remember being very confused with assembly that it wasn't 100% complete because I didn't decide to get the quest items/props from the guide even with full completed spirits and ultimate gifts.

there's a bit of false equivalence when it comes to the very first charity endeavor we attempted, where we offered the green cape for $5, you can look up how much was raised for one tree planted in 2020 vs the ocean cleanup in 2021. we saw more folks picked up the 20$ candle pack for days of healing than days of nature (adjusted for duration the packs were available to buy) regardless of personal taste, candles have universal value within the game's economy, so candle packs with the equivalent of a free tote bag as a token of appreciation are consistently more successful fundraising events than subjectively attractive outfit items.

Giving light to a statue makes the game think you have AC to collect in orbit, so you’re forced to go up and finish it. If you haven’t given wings, then the game allows you to update your return shrine to anywhere else as you’d like

painnnn ok thanks to everyone who had the same troubles as me lol. what i came up with from my rocky eden experience XD was that 1. go to eden 2. get stuck underneath eden (red area) 3. go back home 4. chibi fall under eden door 5. take a winged light 6. go back home 7. use return shrine 8. die again 9. might get stuck as a blue flying thing above eden 10. restart game 11. return shrine 12. die again 13. go through the hugging orbit place 14. get stuck in the part before orbit 15. take a chair/or anything else 16. sit in it 17. do an emote 18. stand up 19. you're done!! 😅

Sitting is only required if you reach the middle of the beam or something like that. Your controls besides flying and camera gets locked there normally.

i had the same issue you're having rn 😭 i did a chibi fall in front of the eden gate and swam under, and then reran eden and finished it that way

since you have 0 winged light, you'll get sent to the black room pretty much right away

you can get out of the dark room without sitting on a prop if you don't get too close to the light. if you have a prop that you can stand on, try to get on top of it and force your skykid to jump off. if you are close to the light (but not close enough to lock your camera) then your skykid will automatically fly up

Beta is for testing, and bugs are bound to happen- even bugs that will sometimes softlock your game. A few testers have shared creative workarounds that worked for them, but if they don't work for you you might just need to wait a new update to come out

1. Bring out the chat table, stacked up against the golden pillar.
2. Sit down
3. Select "Sit" from the Expressions Map and lie down.
4. Put the red candle out from the Expressions Map.
   You will be able to move. Jump from the top of the desk.
5. You can leave the dark room!

Alternative method of getting out of the dark room, only if you are not stuck in the beam of light (you can get out of the light if you're already stuck, but its difficult):

1. place a prop down near the beam of light. It has to be one with collision.
2. get on top of the prop
3. hop off of the prop towards the light by swiping up

Your skykid will automatically start flying, and now you're free!

Ok so, restart your game. When it’s open again you should be at home with no gates. Go to wardrobe and put on chibi mask. Chibi fall near the Eden gate and swim underneath it. Proceed through Eden as per usual

If you’re frozen inside the light beam in dark room, leaving emote menu open enables you to move with left button. I thought doing emotes helped me in my last run but I went to eden again and leaving the menu open is enough to use left button. You can place a sitting prop or cast a prop spell and then stand on it to hop off towards the light beam to ascend

Concerning the gap, all you have to do is watch the flags in the distance on the left and run and hop over the gap when they stop blowing in the wind! Granted they were a little hard to see or notice in the first place. I’m curious how easy it is to get across it now.

Check your audio settings as they are now saved when you quit the game and launch later. If the music toggle is tuned down then you won’t hear music of the realms

No, I mean like seasonal area music... when you enter all the new seasonal areas, the music that plays is different from the music that plays in the area itself
Ex.) think sanctuary cave music
Ex2) music in the prophecy caves
Ex3) the music in the forgotten ark

The new seasonal area at least as of last update and in live too, has no music (until you play the quests) but that’s not what I’m talking about

The Starlight Desert area plays ground level Vault music (just turned up the Music toggle in the audio settings).

Exactly, it plays the vault music, not its own music... which is weird since all seasonal areas up until now play their own seasonal area music (I.e sanctuary caves have their own music, they don’t play the daylight prairie soundtrack on repeat)

At the end of quest 1, they started playing some theme music (the same music from the teaser) in the area, but after you leave the area, that music disappears

It’s the music that was playing from 5:31, it was playing on repeat after the completion of the quest but once you re-enter the area or watch the rose’s story quest, it stops playing ;-;

I don’t hate the vault music in this area, but it feels too mellow and soft for the area, so it gives off a more lonely feel than anything :(

Wind at tunnel still pushes you back if you jump. walking and using the inclines as ramps for assistance still works to get in the tunnel though... Just... don't... jump... Or you risk getting blown back pretty far.

I didn't notice any difference with the gap, but that's mainly because of muscle memory and waiting for the flags to show no wind blowing before jumping past it.

Jumping is only disabled for the walking part before you hug the kid in the latest version. After hugging, you can use right button to fly up
