I rocket every day in Vault... Piggyback still breaks in certain situations, though. Edit: Funny thing, though, piggyback/carry doesn't break while doing a carry spirit still, and being hit by crabs sometimes doesn't break carry/piggyback either. (did all of crab call relive with GF on my back with no issues, and got hit by crabs a few times and she stayed on.)

I hate when people glitch skip through Vault. I end up being stuck all by myself at the doors! Its so mean.

I don't oob through the doors anymore. Those two candle cakes can rot for all I care. I just get other stuff in 1st and second floor, then skip to summit and work my way back down to 4th floor.

It’s beta so there usually ain’t enough people to open doors. People have other things to do and they can’t wait forever either. So they glitch. But on Live when it’s easier to get enough people to help open doors, and when people don’t help even when there are enough people that’s a bit annoying ye. It’s just two candle cakes behind the doors anyway. If you need help to get a spirit or something in particular you can always ask for help in #beta-looking-for-group

Whenever I candle run in beta I just skip any and all doors that require multiple players, especially the 8 player door, because I know that's extremely hard to open

Just had a real nice get together with a friend and her friends , but while chatting , the big chat screen wouldn’t display my text anymore. The chat bubbles would only view my text if I tapped it. I could see everyone else their chat though ?? Anyone else encountered this problem ?

When it's ready. We're still play testing it and reporting bugs that affect the spirit relive system. (Like in beta, reliving daily quest spirits are no longer blue, for example. This bug cropped up on the update that added seasonal spirit relives.)

There was also bugs with certain seasonal spirits due to terrain changes (looking at you Sassy Stance)

Hmm, also noticed during some of our meditation quests that reliving Butterfly Spirit will “activate and complete” the Butterfly Fields Meditation quest. I got caught by the spirit as someone was reliving it when I was collecting the seasonal and I got the meditation quest when they finished it. I also noticed that the day we had the two meditation spots in Citadel the Manta Call spirit had the yellow ring around it as if it was a daily quest spirit.

Manta call has had that gold/grey sundog since spirits that have been relived before will show up as grey when reliving them again

I’ve only ever seen it with a blue ring around it before the Seasonal Spirits were added. Means it was always a bug and no one noticed. The gold ring is now supposed to only be around the Daily Quest Spirits to mark that they are the ones that needed to be relived.

Grey sundogs aren't in live yet, so it's grey in beta and blue in live

I don’t even know what a “sundog” is. The point I’m making is that spirits are supposed to be greyed out with no glowing ring around them unless it’s a daily quest spirit. The Daily Quest Spirits are supposed to be marked by a bright gold ring, but a couple have been bugged and were missing the ring like the Saluting Captain in Wasteland was missing it the day he was a quest spirit. The manta call spirit isn’t supposed to have a ring around it at all if it’s been relived already so it’s a bug.

Not all memories of twirl is way above the rink i believe, there is some falling one which is closer to the ice iirc, but correct me if I’m wrong twirl jumps in air makes sense for me especially since spirits are taller than sky kids, so their jumps are higher too?

Ah, I wasn't playing during lightseekers, so always thought it was a bug due to it's difficulty when it came back as TS and when reliving it in beta... Thinking of it, though, compared to other places, it's not that difficult of a relive. (Looking at you, don't go and respect)

Each Lightseekers spirit took a frustratingly long time to relive because I had absolutely no idea how any of it worked... but somehow I relieved them all, I used to hear from players who would simply give up and miss out on the emotes

i know a lot of players think that the sanctuary hiker was the hardest spirit to relive due to having to walk it up the mountain, but just wait until they get to don't go
as a moth i had to wait until other players came to be bait as i did the spirit

don't go is one of the few spirits that i think you are really meant to do with other players. especially since you are in the line of sight of all 4 krills there. its totally worth it though, the story is so cute. i can't wait for the spirits to appear in live all the time

I was also ok with dun go. I was alone (thankfully with no one to disturb the functioning krills so I can follow their path). I had to keep deep calling so the crabs dun disturb me..

I remember my sister doing the don’t go spirit when it was a traveling spirit, we struggled a lot and there were 2 players waiting at the end who used laugh emote when we finally finished it after multiple krillings🥲 so pretty hard for newer players (sorry not rly beta content)

As a moth in live, grumpy hiker was my hardest challenge, same for shushing scholar.
But in beta being able to relive them all, I can say the hardest ones for me is:

1. Plea
2. Dismiss
3. Grumpy
4. Respect
   No you know what Dismiss was awful to relive so they might be tied with Plea.

Scarf cape is still an iap. Sword pants are 200 regular candles, not pass locked. The sword pants are also time gated by the seasonal quests, so you wouldn't be able to buy them right away

Seems Green Cape is also time gated. We don't know which quest unlocks the IAP, but currently, it's further along than the 5th quest.

Is TGC waiting to stop people from using rocket? Now, when you select the ✋/ ✋ icon while doing rocket, it has your friend drop instead of staying on your shoulders.

That makes it no good to use if someone in your group doesn't have warp with someone else.

Friends falling off carry is a known issue and started with the LPP update, which is why live isn't affected. I am sure, sometime before the season patch goes live, it will get fixed.

If you check the pins in the beta channels you will see that we are asked not to make charts and give out prices. Beta is for testing purposes and sometimes TGC doesn’t even let us test everything before they release it to Live. This is to avoid all these rumours and misunderstandings about what is and isn’t happening in the game, such as the piggy back debacle currently raging on social media. It’s not just me being silly.

I do understand it’s coming from kindness and wanting to help fellow players. But it does create so much confusion and misinformation, because people take it as written in stone and that’s never been how beta worked.

200 candles can easily be acquired by doing 5 candles a day for 40 days. (or 10 for 20) They will inform players ahead of time via patch notes, #news articles, and most likely other avenues before the big whammy. Plenty of time to gather the candles needed since it's locked behind the final quest... a minimum of 48 days (if quests are every week.)

Doing daily realm with a friend will yield 5-7 candles at 3 chevrons. No need to be on the game more than 10-15mins, max.

I feel the stress around candles is mostly on you as a player and how you approach the game. I wouldn’t plan my life around this event, if real world matters are at hand. But that is a choice you have to make.

I play solo (and it's faster for me, if I go solo) and I could easily get 5 - 15 candles daily. Valley, Vault, Prairie and a trip or two at Polluted Geyser usually consists of my daily candle run routine but if I have time, I'd do it all (except Trials)

You asked for information we cannot guarantee. Since Beta is completely different than live, prices may change before the official announcement. We saw the rainbow tassel for 20 candles in beta before DoR ended in Beta. It turned out to be 20 hearts in live, like a previous price.

If you don't want us to get confused with your situation, please don't bring it up; most of it was filler.(filler in the sense of it wasn't needed to get the question across, it is definitely important to you and should be) The main question was pricing because you wanted to save candles before it hits live. When the price is concrete, TGC will have a #news post about it that all other social media outlets would link to also (like DoR price and info announcement).

when things are calmer like now, some testers are kind enough to take the time to answer questions. but generally we're supposed to focus on beta testing and bug discussion. it can get hard to discuss bugs when the majority of text is about questions that could be found on your own. its also a bit difficult to give a good answer sometimes since many players take this information as fact unfortunately.

yeah the beta daily quest schedule is not indicative of live (obligatory #beta-faq ) we had a very large number of quests to be tested and the most efficient way is to schedule 4 a day than try to mimic the live schedule for consistency's sake.

Our primary objective is to keep members cooperating with each other, keep the environment welcoming and supportive for members. Thanks for asking! I like the tie-in to The Little Prince. The stories work here. The individual spirits and their memories have good characer design. I like the star merchant and performer best. All the others feel like the standard carry/chase spirits. The little prince storyline is unsatisfying because it feels designed for first-person. When I am with my friends, we can't experience it together (like Assembly which was great!)

Having reactions and a low or no slowmode is a privilege, which was revoked due to poor conduct toward your fellow community members. nearly every other channel has a lower slowmode or reactions enabled.

I'd also highly recommend doing some light googling about what censorship actually is vs what you're referring to as moderation actions. they are very different things.

putting the definition of censorship on hold, if we were really trying to stifle negative sentiment we could just ban people from the server for expressing negative opinions, which is not something we do unless the individual engages in truly abusive behavior (spamming expletive, threats of violence, and so on)

Considering it censorship or moderation depends on own interpretation and observations. It's still a communication feature that was removed with no enough weight on their reasons. I will stick to my opinion and observations. Most emotes I saw being used weren't aggressive enough, mostly just "❌" and their kind, so of course I found that move suspicious. And, straight up blocking people isn't wise for a company which its economy is based on promoting companionship and giving their customers role in the game development, so I don't think they have that option even if they want it. i’m just extremely tired of seeing the refusal of multiple well explained decisions to keep this channel safe for the community and continue to give judgement on the moderation because “it silences my freedom of speech and it’s censorship.” it does silence, and that is the consequence of not realizing how damaging words can be especially when you take account that sarcastic and negative responses no matter the context can be seen as malicious in text. i have seen constant harassment from both sides and seen the amount of threats and inappropriate reactions that had to be manually removed by the moderation team. i understand that some of you may be upset about reactions not being a thing but there’s much more to the community other than arguing about something that was removed due to said harassment. galileo what you’re stating is definitely not what i witnessed and i’m sorry that you feel that way, but do realize that others who are saying otherwise has already explained to you on why things are still as they are now. people who were defending tgc were also involved and received consequences as well, please stop twisting the narrative that only those who negatively view tgc were targeted with the removal of reactions. everyone is in the same boat and it’s up to the community to treat each other fair and mindful. take those steps first before arguing over whether or not it’s “censorship by malicious intent.” i really do apologize that this message is badly written and it takes away from the current convo but i wanted to share my feelings, i’ll delete this in a bit . please continue with your conversation

Rainbow hearts/candles were one of the many things that were tested in pre-launch beta that had a great concept but terrible execution. You would get a daily rainbow candle everyday at Home that you could send to anyone so they got a rainbow heart, and it was supposed to promote closer bonds with others with a more meaningful gift. I’m not against it. Having candles in seasonal areas adds variety to candle runs, and to be able to do a lot of things in sky, we need candles. Running the same base maps are repetitive, and i like to go to Sanctuary and Dreams for candles. Sometimes we end up stopping there in the middle of a cr just having fun. Without candles, the actual possible activities in a seasonal areas are so little its not appealing/unique? enough to just go there, when we can do the same in other places with candles too.

though it might make sense, if you’re doing them for candles, that it’d be worth the challenge

There is zero expectation for beta testers to obtain TS items, we actually disabled them on beta for a long time so that folks didn't feel compelled to grind for those things, especially because they could be removed with a progress wipe at any time—that level of time and effort is better spent on Live. Assembly SQs as DQs were causing nothing apart from frustration, just imagine the Dreams and Prophecy ones as DQs. At least they don't require other people, but take up so much time.

Sorry to hear that. On my side of things i pretty much enjoyed the Assembly quests. With dream's it's understandable that it got frustrating with all the bugs but that's something we have to report. As for prophecy, I liked them all (and I'd like to see them as DQ) edit: wish we get DQs from Sanctuary too

Yeah, I agree about assembly quests. I often just skip them if I cant do them solo in live.

One of the problems is also the server split issues, especially if someone has bad connection, the activity stops and u have to redo it from the beginning

those quests are probably being added to encourage those chill moments of interactions between one another as mentioned in numerous ways, I still think u should be the one who choose how to play sky.

Trials as DQs: I wouldn't. I don't want to complete any of the trials for a seasonal candle. It's not worth it, and I would very much prefer to spend my time on a CR.

I suppose. I don't do full CRs anymore so I don't mind spending 30 mins in just one location for seasonal candles (plus I'd like a break from the usual gameplay). Tho there was a suggestion somewhere up about getting all 4 candles in one trial... That would be neat (but for those who hate air or fire, that might still be a no no)

Trials will never be daily quests, even if they were originally main quests for a season. They are way too difficult for the average player. Dailies are meant to take about 15-30 mins to complete.

Yeah, I find the audio during ascent to be a bit overwhelming at times, as pretty as it is. The audio peaks on my phone on the loudest parts which I'm pretty sure isn't intentional.

Because I enjoy Eden so much (sarcasm), I went ahead and did it in Live also "for science". There is definitely a difference in the area before PNR, in how you move. It feels overall clunkier. Then of course, the actual red rain area is just so slow and painful.

I also noticed that you now have to deposit light one at a time. The give light button can only show up for one statue at a time. This is most likely for controller support, but it just makes it so much slower on mobile

I mean basically from the moment you enter Eden and all the way up to pnr is clunkier and more difficult to move around. I went as chibi in Live and had almost no trouble jumping up steps and moving forward. In beta I went without chibi mask, but I am on the shorter side, but it felt like moving in treacle.

I tend to do Eden "vanilla", since that's how most players will do it and I feel I want to test it under those conditions. But I also tried flying in that part with the three krill and it felt heavier in beta.

No, that’s business. It is a pack that includes 2 Capes which most IAP Capes are valued at $15 dollars each so $30 right there. A hair which could be $10 on its own judging on previous hair/hat IAPs. And an instrument that could also cost $10-$15 so that pack being free would be ridiculous. $30 is very generous considering the total cost of these items separately.

Also, it’ll always be in the shop. You can buy it at any point. It’s not going to leave the shop until you buy it.

Like an in app purchase should be £3-5 for one or two items, not £15, I could buy an entire game for that price instead of something so unnoticeable and bad as the switch pack. I think that some cost of special cosmetics and things are a little to much for some people, but also you can have all cosmetics from ts for free just playing and colecting candles, and hearts sharing with players, so if you wont or cant spend money on the game you still have the chance to have almost all things from season, but it will take time! Lets not forget that fact, you can play for free and enyou all features of the game. I belive that the discussions about prices must focus on the chance for more players could have acces to them, but the final decission is of TGC and if you cant have all, for free you can have a LOT!
