the items are also way to expensive. there’s a lot of children who play sky and would love these cosmetics, but cannot afford. as someone who has been downright loyal to tgc as a company for almost 2 years, i feel like i’ve been slapped in the face. the one pack is exclusive which is exactly what tgc goes against. and the other pack is ridiculously overpriced. not to mention the rainbow cape is also overpriced. we got a beautiful feast table for 150 candles and now we are paying 175 candles for a multicolor default looking cape? it’s unfair to the players.

It just occurred to me that sky is probably going to be one of the staples on switch . Alongside YouTube, Tetris 99, and Fortnite, it will be honestly the best free to play game available, and in turn one of the biggest games on the switch period.

TGC probably knows this. Only a small minority spend money on IAPs, but those that do tend to spend a lot. From a business perspective I understand the $30 cost for the pack but at the same time I don’t really know if that’s worth it. Then again the sky community has shown time and time again in the past that they don’t care what the price is lol some people are still gonna buy

I bet that it's Switch exclusive because Nintendo has always been like that with their IPs (by IPs I mean their franchises, like Mario, Zelda, Splatoon, etc.). It's not TGC's fault here, it's just Nintendo being hella restrictive with their IPs. It's like that with Minecraft too. There's a whole Mario skin pack and a map but ONLY Switch players can have it and your cross-platform friends can't join that world or see those skins you have.

TL;DR: Nintendo being overprotective of their IP, if anything, blame Nintendo, not TGC.

The items are way too expensive. There are several children who play sky and would love these cosmetics, but cannot afford them. As an active player who has been loyal to TGC and played since the Season of Gratitude, I feel like i’ve been slapped in the face. The switch pack is exclusive, which is exactly what TGC goes against. Furthermore, $30 is overpriced for an item that is already exclusive to those who own an EXPENSIVE Nintendo Switch console. Just a suggestion but maybe separate the capes and elf hair + ocarina?This would allow players who want to enter the secret area buy the capes (and the hair+ocarina pack if they want). And player who don’t care about the new area can just purchase the elf hair + ocarina pack. This way would lower the price of this to a fairer extent. In addition, the flower pack is ridiculously overpriced for a charity event. I can imagine the amount of people, who will not be able to afford this and support the charity. Not to mention the rainbow cape is also overpriced. We were given a beautiful feast table for 150 candles and now we are paying 175 candles for a multicolor default looking cape with contrail? It’s unfair to the players, especially considering how the hair tassels also cost 20 hearts (60 candles). This is far too expensive.

As people explained before maybe this is a Nintendo marketing thing. Tgc pushes for equality for everyone but it's a big thing for them and if it takes adding a few exclusives, why not?

imo the little prince isn't really about advertising because I think it's actually one of the inspirations of Sky. Its themes of childhood vs adulthood and death fit very well into sky, and there are many parallels-- also, one of the MOTDs (messages that you see when you first start up Sky) is actually from the Little Prince (the one that goes "the most important things are not seen, but felt with the heart") so it seems like this book has always been very important to TGC too. I know you might not have read the book, but trust me, it's a very very fitting collab for Sky!

I'm also inclined to think it's not an ad becuase there isn't really a profitable fandom for a ~70-year-old classic novella? I think TGC just loves that book <3

I think the little prince actually one of the inspirations of Sky. Its themes of childhood vs adulthood and death fit very well into sky, and there are many parallels-- also, one of the MOTDs (messages that you see when you first start up Sky) is actually from the Little Prince (the one that goes "the most important things are not seen, but felt with the heart") so it seems like this book has always been very important to TGC too. I know you might not have read the book, but trust me, it's a very very fitting collab for Sky!

I'm also inclined to think it's not an ad becuase there isn't really a profitable fandom for a ~70-year-old classic novella? I think TGC just loves that book <3

i wish the Nintendo cosmetics were available to purchase for the rest of us, except for the cape, that can be a switch exclusive thing. I get wanting a switch exclusive item that lets you into that area. but the rest of cosmetics would be nice to have for everyone. many of us are Nintendo fans, but we simply don't have a switch because they're so expensive. You got it on Beta mainly for testing purposes and collection however once Switch Sky hits Live, "Switch Pack" Cosmetics will only be Switch Exclusive.

As a person who has a whole lot of law family members, if they collab with someone, the copyright is quite low, but it is nintendo's choice of which platform gets it and which one doesn't after all since it's their platform and their copyright.

Online usually requires latest OS version. I assume you'll need to be up to date to download from the Nintendo eShop. So if you have a jailbroken switch for some reason, you wont be able to download it legally.

if youre just buying one for this game, u might wanna just get the lite, its 100 dollars cheaper and it comes in pretty colors.
the full switch has the ability to remove the joycons (controllers) and link to your tv, the switch lite does not have these features,
you should research which one suits what you want better

"No Power" might seem an overstretch however I do think TGC chose a safe and good approach with "Nintendo Pack" only being exclusive to Switch Players in a way that TGC can build good relationship to Nintendo itself and probably more of their games be adapted by Nintendo itself.

Additionally, there's also contracts and whatnot, that both parties have to abide by in order to avoid possible litigation and TGC need not to disclose everything that happens behind the scenes. :SkyBow:
