I started the timer when i entered scantuary
25 minutes- steam cycles through all the vents (rocks and diamonds)
30 minutes(at reset)- steam comes out of all of them and wax shoots out of the main geyser in form of urchins
wax comes out every 30 seconds for 10 mins
After 40mins geyser fills up

Bugs:
•Geyser didn't fill up after event was over
•Wax was invisible
Possible bug:
•The wax from surrounding plants also resets after the event is over

Yes and for now there are only 500 people subscribed to the update ping role

there are 15 thousand people with the ping role, we have to periodically reset the reactions so it doesn't break the bot.

you can do things to ensure you get notifs like make sure the server isn't muted or you have role mentions turned off and the like.

with that said, the sky discord is huge and notifs are likely throttled to avoid crashing the server when pings like that go out.

Yes there is beta ios, but there is no open space for that at the moment. You need to wait for the next invite wave to get in, and you can find a lot of useful information in #beta-faq about the application process and beta in general.

Beta programs are possible on the Switch. It most likely won't happen for Sky due to the unique code system needed to be in a beta program for switch. (Each user would need a unique product code for the beta, not a link like iOS or Android.)

I have both normal and lite (or well— my sister has the normal and I have lite ;-;), Sky should be able to be played on both versions like most games (the normal version is only required in games where it’s necessary to detach the joy cons and play on TV for example in Ring Fit Adventure).

If you want to buy a Nintendo Switch, I highly recommend buying the normal (more expensive) version as the lite version is basically just a normal Nintendo Switch but lighter, tinier and it’s missing two of the main features of the Nintendo Switch: being able to detach the joy cons and to play on TV as well as handheld. Switch Lite is HANDHELD ONLY.

Edit: To be short Sky doesn’t require you to cut your phone in half and stick it to a wall so it’ll logically be playable on both normal and lite

What worries me more is, would Sky on Switch need a Nintendo Switch Online Subscription in order to be played?

Dude, I did notice that the AFK timer resets upon going through a door to the next area. I’m sure 10 minutes is more than enough for majority of the Realms. AFK probably won’t be an issue for passive players who aren’t Full CRers that ride with slower or more casual Ubers. I don’t think I’m ever in an area longer than 10 minutes unless I’m waiting for plants which is a choice. They aren’t necessary for casual runs. I got 17 candles today just randomly running areas I think I only full ran Forest, Wasteland, and Vault. Everything else was a partial and I didn’t even go to Isle at all.

First event happens at reset, then every two hours.

Event lasts 15 mins

For first 5 mins in event- steam cycles through all the vents (rocks and diamonds)

Next 10 mins- steam comes out of all of them and wax shoots out of the main geyser in form of urchins
wax comes out every 30 seconds for 10 mins

After that geyser fills up

•Geyser didn't fill up after event was over
•Wax was invisible from the urchins

The way the game does its timers is that it will never show a time such that you actually have less than what's displayed (i.e. it won't show you "4 days left" if you have less than [4 x 24 hours] left). The fact that it's showing "4 days left" right now means that it's "[4 x 24 hours] plus the additional hours left of today (which isn't a full day anymore)", so the season is likely scheduled to end as soon as the TS leaves

It's quite simple: currently there has been no official announcement if Switch will have a beta program. It is due to how Nintendo does their "open" beta programs. You need a unique product key sent to you, not a public link iOS and Android. If they ever want switch beta testers, there will be an announcement. Just be prepared to get a special code just for you if they ever do a beta for Switch.

I have a feeling a data reset might work against them :( bugs like the outfit combo are only possible to detect early and test when people have the respective cosmetics.. if none of your playerbase in beta have the same settings as live players, more issues like this will unfortunately go undetected until they hit live. :( That;s what i feeel anyways

The data reset made sense at the beginning, since on launch live players will be starting on starting on a clean state, but now, that’s no longer the case

I'm not proposing anything or hinting at anything because I don't know what will happen more than you. What I do know is that things can and will change in beta regardless of what players want. That's what beta is for.

But honestly, everyone in beta is a volunteer, I’m sure there are players who are out there for the noble deed of purely finding bugs. (But that’s rare, and a big reason why beta becomes predominantly empty after a certain point)
there are also players who play for various incentives — some for content as content creators on YouTube, others to test the cosmetics before buying a pass. And I’m sure there’s a lot of other reasons people play the beta.
At the end of the day, incentive keeps volunteers, who are not getting any money out of spending these hours playing the beta — playing the beta. This is just a general deduction I made

Not all beta players are content creators most people do it because of their love for the game. It has been said again and again that beta isn't a replacement for live. Devs know better than us. If the cosmetics thing you described is a problem then devs will surely find a way. They will make changes however they want. Afterall it's a tool to test new content.

Thats what was called socially disengaging behaviour and i agree this design with a long timer is encouraging that. First i thought it willbe something we have to activate as a group of players there unfortunately that wasn't the case. Besides afk can mean you have the app open while you only listen with earphones or peaking ocassionally on the screen while you do something else only touching the screen when the geyser is active. I doubt that would be more desirable than just total afk. I don't see much difference with the tree and this

Idk if the new afk system is actually going to encourage people to go together. I honestly think it promotes going on your own for candle runs i get carried by my friends and dont touch the screen constantly but it’s because we are voice calling so there is no real need to type. Being unable to get wax this way would make me want to just go alone to collect candles

I think a new format can be introduced to events , such as a seperate currency for events. Much like seasonal candles and hearts there could be currency specific for Days of____ as well. I think it lessens burden for players who dont usually cr and its more like a welcoming start for all players. They can make active events such that each activity done awards with the event currency , and there would be a npc spirit selling items specific to that event. Just an idea when event ends currency could be converted to regular wax but with a certain ratio so it wouldnt be too op

all the urchin wax gets collected automatically even if you weren’t that close to it, as long as ur standing near the entire new area wax will be collected without u needing to move, but ofc someone gotta burn to get the wax out.

Reset time(first event)+2hrs(next one)+2hrs(next one).... and so on
For eg. Next one will happen in an hour. Then you can add two hrs for the next one
