Just because you leave feedback it doesn’t mean TGC will change something. And I also don’t think leaving the same feedback over and over helps your cause, or rallying others to do it. It’s always up to TGC in the end. 🙂

Also, i loved that cape too, it's simplicity was nice. But even after seeing so much feedback to bring it back, it hasn't come in any update. So, i don't think there's much hope now.
The cape was good, but yeah, we can't do anything if it was scrapped. They might be having their own reasons to not bring it back.
I think one reason could be that there are already so manyyy Cosmetics in this season, they might not want to add more now.

I'm just addressing my distress that other things end up coming to fruition, but someone asking for a super cute cape back is just brushed over, even by other players. Telling me over and over to give feedback, even though if what I said was thoroughly read you'd know I already did that multiple times. I know how to test. I know how to read a FAQ. No one directly called me ignorant, but do you see how this behavior is treating someone like they are ignorant?
And being sarcastic towards me really just doesn't help at all, it just makes you a meanie.
Its sad that I can't even talk about concerns with a community. This game means so much to me and makes me so relaxed and happy, yet some players are just really nasty towards me over nothing, even though I never even do anything to anyone. Its why I just mostly stay in my corner, aside from a few times. Too much drama goes on in this community (especially lately), and anytime I am vocal about my opinion here, I usually just feel some kind of negative energy in the replies given to me, even if it was something I needed help with. Every. Single. Time. But I'm always respectful and I think out my messages very deeply before sending them because I am autistic and have trouble communicating and don't want to have my words be accidentally misunderstood, but somehow they still do.
All in all, please consider the emotions and possible neurodivergencies of the people you talk to. Sky is a friendly game that encourages kindness, so please try to act in the kindness it so tries to teach us, even if you don't agree with the person's opinion.

i think theres just a lot of misunderstanding always going on in the server unintentionally, most people dont know each other and dont know how long or short theyve been a beta tester for so people always answer with reminders on what to do (like reporting hackers/directing people to feedback)
i do agree that people should be allowed to talk about stuff like that without the constant reminder though. it can get annoying for sure lol

it's not only you who got this feeling time to time, i did too even when my opinion was the same as the majority who talked in this channel. I think until you express your opinion in a respectful way and with reasons it's all good. Sometimes some topics just won't start a conversations or not the kind you wished to read. There are always players who don't know the existence of feedback channel so regulars here tend to redirect everyone there the cape was cute i agree but i couldn't imagine it as this seasons ult, however i can totally imagine it in another season with similarly styled cosmetics.

I sure do agree to this. And I'd say it's presented in the most respectable of forms. I've had such negative replies towards myself too , like sometimes when i ask something in #questions-and-help people tend to redirect me to other channels saying "You can check this out there". I mean, I'm trying to ask for help and if i were you i wouldn't have referred someone to another channel if i knew the answer. Sometimes politely answering seems like the best thing to do rather being passive aggressive and redirecting people to other channels.

Or the owl hair from Season of Rhythm used to be a normal cosmetic on the Thoughtful Director spirit - you can search for images before Jan 20 2020 to see the ultimate reward was the Winter Piano instead of said hair.

Yes, but when you leave the hammock, it will stop moving. In this case, the hammock keeps swinging when you sit. Once you do a full sit rotation it will get you up and stop the hammock

the translation is through a third party tool, it should support all languages. it's algorithmic, so it's not a perfect 1:1 translation.

Because you know people could be eavesdropping, you would not even dare to share personal information. If you were one on one with a friend it might be different, and in the end you might not know that friend as good as you thought. I was definitely against the afk mode at the beginning, because of how its worded and the first timer they introduced. However, after confirming the timer is indeed just short for testing. If they ever brought it back and the timer is 20-25 minutes , i wouldnt really mind it after all. Because i dont think it really affects cr since you cant really truly afk during runs. You still need to return home when ur uber tells u that they have completed the realm, or open doors , etc. That is just my opinion tho

I would not have taken the afk sys with so much anger or might not even be against it at all if the update message was worded differently and the reasons explained in a less dismissive tone.
“We’ve noticed that players will leave their phone on overnight to collect all available light falling from the tree. This behavior is socially disengaging and takes away opportunities from players who want to chat and connect with others ...”(this was before there was significant amount of wax in Live for peeps to even think it worthy afk under the tree to collect wax)

What was there to be addressed considering the fact that most of us did the afk party in beta to test limits of the tree wax/hard caps in the first place? Isn’t it what beta testers are expected to do? Go to extremes/cause bugs/carry out stuff to attempt to crash the game and report them (as TGC asked us to in recent updates), so that if there’s anything wrong, or any possibility of abusing, devs could fix it before it hits live. There are so many ways to approach this, yet the wording that could hurt the most engaged beta testers was chosen to write this. I got angry cuz there’s just a lot of judgmental wording in there, whereas afk is an activity that is harmless to others, which differs it from trolling which should be prohibited. I get how afk to collect passive wax can be seen unwanted by TGC but other solutions could be considered, ie. hard capping the wax, instead of blatantly attacking afk folks and tell them it’s some behavior that need to be “addressed”. Not that this afk thing would affect me by any means if it goes live, as I’m always the uber among my friends, but I feel sorry for those who couldn’t play the game otherwise because of certain limits/disease/disability. There’s just more to be taken into consideration when this kind of decision is made, and simply labeling afk people “socially disengaging” is not fair to them.

Invites are now on an as needed basis so you will have to wait for an invite in #beta-signup-info which will ping the beta invites role when it drops. We have no estimated time or date for these invites now, so it’s best to just get the invite ping role (when it becomes available again) and then check out discord if you get a ping here.

Im more of a cosmetic person rather than prop function, so this season isn't AS amazing as Dreams/other seasons were.

In my opinion the best ingame item is the campfire for that quick recharge and social aspect so i’m glad that it’s sort of being reintroduced to new players with the torch, it’s super helpful.

i’m really intrigued about the aerial acrobatics prop hopefully we’ll be able to set up our own courses? 🤞🏽

You can do all quests from past seasons right now starting with sanctuary. Right now you can unlock the items without functionality as you progress through the quests in season of assembly. So the items will be unlockable post season.

The ones they were testing with, the tree structures matched sort of — not really — the in season tree structures
Which is not bad during the season and makes sense’ but when they come back as ts and stay for a]only a couple of days, the structure feels very limiting and forces you to purchase one thing before another
Plus, the fact that you end up paying a lot for a cosmetic you don’t even want —- I think the jellyfish hair was like 80 candles
But you had to buy it first to get the pants

Whereas before it would have costed 10 + 48 (hair) + 75 (base cost for most pants)

So it’s actually unbalanced for f2p and heavily favors the pas holders

I didn’t like that idea because that was 2 layers of payment — one you had to get an AP and 2. You had to pay with in game candles..
by making the AP locked items free, they removed dual payment system

But the cosmetic branch offs were done badly
They should have kept the original seasonal tree which was
Emote —> music sheet —> hair —> spell and the branch offs on these were AP locks
So maybe they could have something like this instead:
Emote —> music sheet —> wing buff —-> spell —> emote level 3 —> hair —> spell and the branch offs would be the same as the seasonal ones

I think what Voluntary is worried about is that there are some people who rush to buy seasonal candles to be able to complete the whole constellation in a single day, but I think the version of the live game doesn't necessarily have all of the updated stuff that's in beta right now. So if the season were to start on Monday without a patch, it may not be the "correct" version of the season with all of the updated items and seasonal trees switched around, which would then be chaotic for TGC to fix later

I don't know what TGC's plans are of course, but I can see why there would be some reason to worry considering the countdown timer is still there in live and nothing has been said about it

It would be important to understand that all content in a major patch is not tied to the day 1 season start. there are planned mini-patches over the course of the season to implement other supporting features that players won't get their hands on until later in the season.

I was just thinking, since the afk system was implemented to stop players afk under the tree and get free wax, what if Sky had a daily reward system, and I'm not talking about the quests. Like maybe log in once a day and get increasing amounts of candles 1-7 perhaps and then it resets each week or when you don't log in one day. That way you could still have players who have limited time be able to get items. Thoughts?

It's nice yeah, but afking under the tree could give u like 5-20 candles if you leave it overnight under the tree.

So if that was implemented and the tree was still up (or came back next year), it would just be more and more for afkers.

The ultimate solution to whole afk thing is to either not afk or stop the tree from dropping the wax

But the tree is soon gone anyways so it'll stop no matter what. I don't think there needs to be more afk system related conversations, since in few days it's practically in past

I just experienced the most gut wrenching thing and I feel so bad. I just chilling in home space when I merged with another server and heard this awesome person playing the new trumpet. So I go over and sit with them and they stopped and started crying till I left. 🤭 I’m sorry if I ruined your music

I think we can all agree that the devs would probably appreciate it if we all actually played the game they designed and produced, rather than afk in it for hours on end, regardless in what fashion we are doing the latter.

Knowing your limits is important - though can be learnt the hard way, sadly...but at least are learnt. I’ve pushed myself beyond them several times, and it never ended well
