I don't think ubering is something TGC really intended or wanted. The original intent of the game is for friends to actively do things together. However, there was a change at one point in pre-release beta that made it possible for the one being led to passively collect wax, and that probably facilitated ubering.

One of the most obvious things that prevent people from socializing is the server split. Yet i can't see any improvement about this issue. But this server split thing does prevent people from being afk. If socializing is the most important important thing we should rethink our priorities.

The wax collection afk thing has been removed hasn’t it? Although I understand lot so of people like this because they don’t have much time to candle run and can rely on friends, this is quite stressful for me, sometimes I’m just playing Sky and friends will join me and ask me to candle run for them, hold my hand then just go afk? It makes candle running and playing sky in general less fun because I feel like my friends just use me to candle run sometimes? (Obviously not all my friends just a few, most of them are wonderful )

As long as you received the message that states "you're a beta tester" you're in. If you can't download the beta sky app you'll have to wait a time period that goes from 3/5 minutes to even a month before being able to download it. This does not depends on TGC, but solely on Google

When the test group reaches 95% capacity, it will start showing BETA IS FULL in the app store—even if you are a tester. It can take 12-24 hours to acknowledge you are a tester before becoming eligible to download beta, if ever. You can try the following troubleshooting steps to speed things up, but is not a guaranteed fix:

🔹 Make sure you are signed into the same Google account that signed up for Beta.
🔹 If you have multiple google accounts or use shared devices, you may need to do the following:
🔸 log out of all accounts
🔸 clear data and cache for ALL of the following apps
🔸 Google Play
🔸 Google Play Games
🔸 Google Play Services
🔸 Turn your device completely off
🔸 Sign back into Google

It depends on the nature of the wipe, but we would get some warning and it wouldn’t be done without reason for a full wipe like that. There has only once ever been a full wipe near iOS global launch, we have had smaller things like candle wipes since though.

Ah, yes I was referring to progress wipes. Access wipes will remove beta access but you can rejoin through an invite period and have not lost anything if you had linked your account. Access wipes will now only happen if you do not remain active in testing.

I think that only work if you try on the Google Play website (with another device) and it lets you chose a device to install it. Afk system doesn't allowed you to collect wax if you didn't touch your screen in a certain amount of time.
But they disabled that with the new update just added a animation that tells your friends that you are afk.

There is no difference, except for the quest giver in live that gives you regular candles, so it’s 4 more candles per day. But, except for that, now that the new candles’ system is in live too, it is the same amount of candles (but it was the same before too )

Full disclaimer I have no insight into TGCs plans but the season in its current state is starting to feel finished to me, at least the initial start. It’s important to remember with this season a lot of those prop items will be locked behind quests and no amount of buying seasonal candles will unlock those until the time is right in live. That should give more time to finalise things even in the live game after season start.
