the event is available now, the update should have become available to download a few hours ago. sometimes you need to force close/refresh the app store for it to appear.
The holiday event will run on beta for 11 days, but that is not an indication of how long the event will be on Live. there are 3 stages to these holiday events. all the details are in #beta-announcements aside from specific dates, because those are often subject to change as needed to suit testing purposes.

If you compare the USD price to the rubles price in sky purchases you should be able to find a rough exchange rate which would include tax for your sky purchases. Its worked for me with AUD so far, but sometimes the tax can hike up and down at certain money values so while its a good estimate keep in mind it may be different when you come to buying it in live. Also as this is currently beta the price may even change altogether.

Yeah the price you see in game already has any additional fees applied. That's why when you do a USD to rubles conversion through google you get a lower price, because that's the true price before the additional fees. So if you work out the sky conversion rate of USD to rubles (which includes those additional fees) then you get a good estimate. Like I said though there are exceptions to it that would change the rate.

What do i do about my game? I've come across severe crashes across beta and live and its not my connection (it still happened on someone else's WiFi) it's consistent in specific areas and it's making the game frustrating to play

Make sure to submit detailed bug reports about it and the TGC team might be able to fix it in the future, especially if you can work out what areas its occurring.

On the extreme end of avoiding crashes getting a new high end device would probably solve a considerable amount of them, but usually that's not practical unless you're already looking for one and of course some bugs will persist no matter how good the device is.

The current trend is before each beta season there's an access wipe. It only wipes access. If you have your sky beta account linked in some way you wont lose progress.

Due to the nature of beta though if there's a solid reason the Devs need a bunch of buff moffs testing they can do a progress wipe which would remove all progress (or some depending on the nature of the wipe). They would give us some warning but its always a possibility if it will help for the testing. Its only happened once so far near global release but still don't get too attached to beta cosmetics just encase.

The new wax system is a thing in progress and will consist of more than what we’re currently testing in beta. What we have now is the chevrons thing (you get less and less wax the less chevrons you have, so when you don’t have any chevrons left, you collect wax super slowly). I suppose adding more wax to the areas is either stage number two, or some kind of preparations for it, but either way, there is a limit to the amount of candles you can get in Sky per day. Once you hit that limit (which is currently impossible in live), you won’t be able to collect any more wax.
I don’t know, however, how many candles max you can get with the current chevron system and the amount of wax we have in beta at the moment

Azu, they are planning on adding more light/wax in other areas of the realms eventually. It's part of how they are changing the candle system to encourage people to play in the areas they actually want to rather than trying to get every possible bit of light. So for example with the wax in the trials, this way players who enjoy doing them can get a bit of a reward from it, but players who prefer to do something else can still get light in other places. They want people to feel more like they can have fun in the game doing what they like instead of feeling forced to CR for every candle possible

Balancing works the same. Adding new candles means that players can choose where they want to collect wax.

There is a cap on how many candles you can earn per day, so there will be some balancing from that. There will be more light available in the game than is actually possible to collect per day. So some players might get their fill from doing things like the trials, while others may go through and explore a realm they enjoy more. But they could get the same amount of candles

They're trying to encourage players not to do that, because it's not healthy to feel obligated to spend hours running through the whole game to get every amount of light possible. With the candle cap and adding a bunch of new light that would be worth more than what the game allows you to collect, all players should have the potential to get the same amount of candles per day, but they can do it by doing different activities in the game. You can pick and choose what you want to do and get the same amount of candles as someone who does other things. So you can do what you enjoy instead of doing something because you feel like you have to

Basically, you need to change your whole perspective on earning candles in the game because the current way (in live) isn't very good for people right now

The dress snuck into our closets in the update, if you choose to wear it though it disappears from your character the next time you load the game (but you can put it on again). I think it's kind of bugged right now since it's not finished

Tbh the hard cap makes me like the system way more, than when we got it the first time, just the chevrons and soft cap. I was just frustrated that if I wanted to get the max amount it was really really slow to achieve, and needed to finish every single piece to move the candle a tiny bit up.

I think the system is being designed to get people to choose to run the areas they like the most rather than go everywhere for the sake of getting everything. Like I'll probably be running valley most myself with it being my favorite area

yes we don't know what that hard cap is yet since we haven't hit it yet but there will be a solid maximum numebr of candles you can forge per day and the intention is to have more light to collect than that maximum allows so at some point you stop forging candles even if you keep collecting light.

an example would be if you went through forest and then went back to help a friend. you're still burning the dark plants but you don't get light from them anymore. or an even better example is the visual bug with treasure candles and seasonal candles right now where if you return, the light is above them and it shows the animation of collecting it but it doesn't actually give you more light

good news about reporting players is if they're legit then nothing bad happens to them. TGC investigates reports submitted to them so it doesn't hurt to report if you're unsure I'm almost certain I've been reported for my bonfire even though I have it legitimately lol

I think the logic here is that there's going to be more light pieces than candles you can possibly forge in a day so people are encouraged to run only the places they like the most on their daily runs. some people do legitimateyl enjoy the trials so those candles cakes are so they can run the trials and still earn candles if it's the place thy want to run that day

they're planning on adding in more wax in the game than the in-game hard cap will allow you to collect (i.e. imagine if the game had 250 coins in total, but the game only counts the first 150 you collect per day) -- that basically means that people can now get rewarded for choosing to do the trials if they actually enjoy it, but it's not required and you can instead collect that wax elsewhere

I don't think you understand. there will be more light pieces (wax) than it's possible to forge candles in a day. At some point you will stop forging candles even if you keep collecting light pieces. this system is designed to prevent players from running everything specifically because it's causing burnout and is unhealthy. You can get max daily candles while running far less realms

When all is said and done, the idea is that you could do a "full***" CR and never need to visit the trials. For folks who enjoy the trials for the sake of running them, and folks going to recollect the Winged Light, there's a better reward for their efforts.

The nature of a live service game is that things change with the introduction of any new system, and something stated a week/month/year or even a day ago may not be applicable after a new feature is introduced or a system receives adjustments.

But also, you're not guaranteed to any items in beta, and since it's a testing ground, it would really just be better to put your focus on live, unless you really want to and are willing to deal with what might happen, it's cool and sometimes even useful if you wanna collect, but know that that's your own choice

you have to angle it perfectly while your camera is all panned out, so you cant see yourself, plus there is a limited time window to do it in, and even if u do manage to clip you have to blindly move & jump at the right spot so you dont get stuck in this invisible trap box underneath its near impossible for me to do if i am holding hands with friends
