I wouldn’t mind some spice in the races either. Most of my friends don’t like Valley and the races, so it’s more like a lets see how many afk friend will i lose at transition game rather than a fun group activity.

It shouldn't become a forced competition though. you can absolutely still make it a fun competition with your friends without forcing some poor soul who got an unfortunate server merge to be without a candle in the race and no way to redo the race and get more candles. Or punishing the slow players for being slow. Sky is meant to be friendly to all ages and all skill levels.

The wax you got from races was from all lights collected in that server instance for all players, so it wasn't really a competition issue

In my experience, it was terrible because people would backtrack the sliding race for every single piece. I believe we didn't have the flying race yet, but I can imagine the same motivation to replay it multiple times to gather lights you missed

Perhaps that wouldn't be an issue when the maximum candles cap is lower than the wax available in a day

About the looping back thing:
Slide down, do a race, collect the temple, enter Dreams from the arena and collect it, than fly back to the valley social space entrance, and do the other race This way if we are lucky I don’t have to release anybodys hand so a full afk ppl dragging circle is possible.

idk how other ppl do it, but i always farm the land that has the quests in it first.. its easy enough to do if you’re already there. then after turning in quests, i’ll hit the land that has the candle cakes next. then last, if i got time, i’ll go to prairie, forest, then waste (unless of course they had the quests or cakes that day)

Depending on the severity it can be against their TOS so yes I'd expect action to be taken, especially for repeat offences or depending on the severity of the offence.

Speaking of the chat filter Ktjn has said previously that "it also takes into account previous messages sent and may become more aggressive if you continuously hit the filter since it assumes some sort of subversion is taking place." so hopefully it will pick up on if tricks are being played, but yeah sometimes it will miss them so a report will do good for TGC to look into the player.

only in beta yes. it's prohibitively expensive though since you need to complete the entire vault constellation and then also have 999 hearts for the cape itself. check the pins for a more detailed explanation why the cost is so high and why it isn't in live

check out #beta-faq for info on how to become a beta tester. but fair warning I have friends who have the invisible cape and it took them almost a year of hard grinding and they only got it that quickly due to a bug that gave us infinite candles at one point. SKYBOT EVERY TIME

Before anyone tries to draw conclusions about which spirits were causing camera issues with upcoming TS hints. Keep in mind every single seasonal spirit exists in the game all the time, ready to be activated when it's their time to return. Spirits that are on the main path from the social space to the temple, tend to be crossed considerably more often than spirits that are tucked away in nooks and crannies carved out just for them, which is why you'll see reports of them more often.

i met a chinese player using forest elder hair and pink cape (before they go off, they changed to prairie elder hair), it was hard to communicate because they only know basic english words like hi and goodbye,, we talked for like 3 hours there due to my slow responds aka translating my text to chinese so we can communicate, it was fun to talk about daily candle running moments in live version, and also bugs there

Fwiw, it was never possible to get the Rhythm UG "in time", because the season only lasted like two weeks in beta. But the Conductor hair was briefly available through a regular seasonal spirit.
I just always get a little suspicious when someone hasa lot of "high value" items and also keeps changing between them in front of you to sort of show off. But perhaps I'm just not that easily impressed.

Real answer is progress doesn't get wiped with every access wipe unless they announce that they will, so your work on beta spirit trees will stay, until it doesn't, but since there is always that possibility, it's good not to get attached to candles and cosmetics

My framerate kept jumping up and down while going through the village, but it's not significant enough., Like, if you were to put normal as 60fps, mine was jumping inbetween the 50-60fps. Should I also report that ?

Similar to the 3 candles to give a friend a heart in the friendship tree. during the holiday event, you will be able to spend 14 candles to give a friend 5 hearts, you also need to have unlocked the carry expression (most folks call it piggyback) in order to have this option with your friend. Normally this would cost 15 candles and take place over 5 days.
