I think if there's one thing about this season that made me a bit sad is I felt so cheated during the memories on the slope since you had to race through in order to relive them and couldn't really look at the fragments

The Dream quests are a complete movie. I felt like i grew up with her, witnessed her practice and perseverance, to achieving her championship. I felt like she is someone i personally knew. That is really amazing. Seeing her skating around in the rink whenever i enter Village constantly reminds me that im not alone and i should always be cheerful.

If you want it, its 10 bucks and done with the beta's system. Rather than 10 + any candle bundles you're willing to buy if you didnt have the time to cr.

We absolutely heard the community on this and are in the midst of making other changes and potentially going in a different direction.

Beta is for testing ideas and changes, not everything in beta lives through the gauntlet and survives.

I like the idea someone suggested earlier, (I think is was Luccio?) That maybe those who do have the pass could get it for free, and if you don't have it you can still grind (or be gifted a pass or buy candle packs.) That way nothing from the TS is completely barred off from all players. Some people will still be unable to get it because they don't have people to get the pass from or can't grind, but I think it's a really good solution/option

The problem with a solution to both of the f2p and paying people, with free options for the f2p and free for people with pass, is that it will be a loss of money for tgc, as those willing to pay money for candles are the same people who are willing to pay money for the pass, as f2p are more likely to not spend money on those candles, which is how tgc gets money from these tses.
I just want everyone to be happy though, but I know that isn't possible

The only problem with the playing dead emote is that if someone gets caught by the krill and runs into your general area and you get hit, you will lose WL. So best to learn to hide!

i've found that if you have 3 experienced players, one burning each leg, and time touching down perfectly, you don't need home trick at all, but it makes me sad for those who wouldn't get the opportunity to learn how to do it

With Dreams I actually started to understand that there’s not a need for new realms, since some of our new areas are as big as existing realms already, the realms are set in the very very limited lore, so every new area just gets put in a category of “sand, grass, forest, snow, death, and secrets”
So, think of the realms as aesthetics, and the actual area has the potential to be bigger than we could imagine

I think the whole idea behind the AP lock is to make it easier for new players too. Cosmetics behind the AP lock will be granted to you for free by buying the connecting node, thus relieving some of that pressure to have to collect so many candles for each traveling spirit

There's two pins in a set, like the "you and I" pins from the first wave of merch. You give one of the pins (irl) to a friend and you both scan them and bind to your accounts. The spell from the pins works only between you and the player you gave the second pin from the pair to. The "you and i" spell was impossible to test on beta because of two accounts having to be a pair, so it might be the case with this spell too.

That way people who payed for the passes still have exclusivity but people who joined later can get a small taste of that. yes and no. Those old capes texture was about as complicated and graphics intensive as carrying around the giant round rock in butterfly fields on your back at all times. The way that capes are rendered for efficiency is a combination of optical illusions and clever engineering. So while we absolutely have complex-looking capes that rival the aesthetics of those old beta capes, they are considerably more efficient as to avoid unnecessary stress on your device's graphics chip. Player perception is comparing apples to apples when in reality you're trying to compare one apple to an entire orchard. Hopefully that helps understand why we have no plans to ever bring those capes back.
