I find candle running quite relaxing actually, but then again I don't do a full candle run, just the realms that give the most candles and then stop. I mainly play for whenever my friends do fun vc chats, and for the new seasonal content (not saying that I'm in beta just for the seasonal content- that's just one of the things thats keeping me interested in the game)

i think there could be a free option for ts where the items still cost candles plus an ap only optiok where the item is obtained immediately by having the current season pass. that way players who are tired of cr but still want items can opt for getting a pass and players who cant afford one but still want ts items can cr for them. i just think the pass only option is kind of unfair. many of my sky friends are f2p and they cr hard for the cosmetics they couldnt get in the past and still wanted. i think f2p players have too few chances of personalizing their character, and limiting the ts makes it even harder for them. simply not everyone can afford ap or get a friend who can buy them one.

The CR is a touchy subject for me but I’m trying to make my relationship better
When I started sky I couldn’t cr, I found it very boring, I didnt have time, was tired, and I was strictly a solo player (meeting new people in game actually kind of freaks me out if I don’t know them before sky) so I never really played like a lot
When I saw my first ts I knew I had to save for the next one so I went hard and burned myself out for a month and only came back a couple weeks ago
I’m still only a casual player, I don’t play for insane amounts of time (well I TRY), I try not to be crazy intense
Candle running has become more relaxing as long as I don’t push myself, but it means having to start grinding for the TS very early though
Personally if the AP happens I might stop playing sky? It wouldn’t be worth it for me personally. Not to be rude but I just...kinda have bigger priorities than a game about kids (albeit a very pretty game about kids)

I think that this would be the best option! If the AP for current seasons would include the ts feature I would totally buy! But if it was a seperate thing I wouldn’t, and think either way there should still be a f2p option that has the usual high candle prices.

I see candle running is the same as every other game where you have to grind experience points to level up to beat hard bosses or gain better items, but in Sky's case it's for TS and cool cosmetics.

I see a lot of people saying how boring a 2h cr is, but do you do it in just one sit? :0 I usually do prairie first, do anything else irl, then forest and gw, do something else irl and then the rest if a ts is near
this way it has never been a burden for me, totally the opposite

oH and I've also seen some people talking about having the option to pay for ts or double the candle price, this would be unfair
if it's already kind of hard for most people, doubling the price will only double the pain 😂

I used to do candle running on my own, it was fast but kinda boring. Now I usually do candle running with my friends, although it could take much longer time but it is always fun to be with friends. XD

Cosmetics are great and I get that everyone wants them because they want to look fancy, I myself am one of those, but consider that cosmetics are not the only thing to enjoy about sky and that getting them isn’t its ultimate purpose. TGC wanted to create a game that would explore emotions such as love and affection, bonding with other people is what makes this game amazing, cr is good, but in my opinion it’s always better to enjoy it in the company of your friends while you goof around and have a nice time like you would with real life friends and only farm as far as you find it enjoyable, once it goes beyond that point it’s not worth it cause you will end up considering it an obligation like homework and stressing over a game. I appreciate chilling and chatting with friends much more than going solo on a cr to get enough candles for the next TS. But that’s just my opinion of course, just remember there’s more to sky than wearing your favorite cosmetics

@high apex I got three hours of sleep and literally had nightmares the whole time that notifications were coming in, but every time I clicked they were already full. Then I woke up drench in a cold sweat at 3:21am and saw a notification had pinged 14 minutes earlier and was already full. Fortunately I got in on this recent wave, though. (And yes, I’m very aware this isn’t healthy, however I have OCD plus an anxiety disorder, so I can’t make my brain turn stuff like this off. I wish I could.)

Actually if you take out the cosmetics in the game the game doesn’t have much for a long term goal other than cosmetics
You have the trials, which depending on your parkour ability can be completed easily
You can chat with friends and that’s not impacted by cosmetics I will give you that, but sometimes people like matching outfits idk what friends do
You can explore all the realms but that will take a couple months if you decide to save for a chair
You can buy emotes but if you want them all you need the TS
And if you want cosmetics, well, that’s the most expensive and ultimately the most rewarding it feels good looking through and seeing you have everything unlocked. Why not let everyone have that opportunity?

@weak lance bruh you know downloading APKs is against the Terms of Service, right? It could cause a lot of performance, account and malware issues for you. Trying to use APKs will result in download problems and may result in account data loss and inability to contact TGC support. APKs cannot be used to bypass the device incompatibility and do not help TGC with beta testing at all. Please don't use them or discuss them here.

I was a beta tester on android last season and have the Beta app downloaded. I want to join again this season, and clicked the link for Android users, but it takes me to Google and nothing is different. I’d rather be able to play free (and still have tons of free cosmetics that are available) and for people who can afford it to be able to buy extras than for all of us to have to pay a monthly or annual fee to have access to the game. Because that’s the only other option TGC would have to be able to keep developing it. Well, or they could put constant ads across the screen, which I’m pretty sure we’d all hate. TGC has to be able to pay their team. No developers, no Sky. Personally, one reason I love this game is there are no ads and there are so many nice free things. Most other games I’ve played don’t have many nice things that are free.

Try updating TestFlight. If your TestFlight won’t update, head over to phone settings and turn on auto-update then wait. Make sure you’re on wifi!

To new beta testers: I recommend getting the chibi mask and/or chair as soon as possible because you'll find yourself in a lot of empty servers once the hype dies down. The chibi mask allows you to utilize a glitch that can help you skip opening multiplayer doors. The chair does a similar thing as well. I repeat, get the chibi mask and/or chair!

Beta can totally not be your thing, and that's okay! On top of starting over, progress wipes can happen at any time in beta if TGC needs it for testing- as well as many bugs that can really impact your gameplay. If you stay, make sure you're having fun! If you decide to leave, or take a break, you can always hang out in the beta channels to discuss things being tested

If you don't want to spend hours waiting for somebody to help you open a multiplayer door, get the chibi mask and/or chair!
