I dont know if this was answered already, but when the invites were released i clicked the link and it opened the testflight app (i was in beta in the last season) but it kept on saying no app to test. i opened the beta sky app and it says update and i press but then it says no app for update. What is going on here?

Remember everyone, don't become a victim of the sunk cost fallacy. Its best to try and cut your losses and just leave the invites channel running as a background ping, don't camp. If you need to sleep be assured there will be more invites to come and they will be spread out so there is a good chance you will have one during the day in your personal time zone.

Its lovely TGC runs a beta program for us but remember it is not ground breaking fame and untold glory. When it comes down to it this is another sky only slightly ahead of its content time but with many more bugs.

If you're looking for early content youtube will be happy to oblige, with beta videos coming out often just hours after we get it in beta ourselves, not to mention #beta-screenshots-videos is always full of upcoming possibilities.

If you're looking to help bug hunt live is still a great substitute, not everything gets found in beta and sometimes there just isn't time to fix it. The devs will appreciate reports from there too and they're just as important.

If you're looking to give opinions on upcoming beta content and want to be heard then don't be shy. You don't have to be a beta tester to give beta feedback, just be sure to read the conversation a little first and maybe watch a video to understand what topic is going on and remember to be polite.

I promise everyone there is nothing hidden in beta that you wont be able to find with a quick search, there's no secret reward for testing. It is just helping the devs out with this lovely game in this small beta outlet out of many more live outlets that they provide where we can send in our opinions, bugs and ideas.

They will appreciate your help wherever you provide it and listen to you just like they listen to all of us. Try not to stress and take it easy over the invite period. We're a lovely community and we're all here to see this game grow and continue to blossom in our hearts as it has already done for so many of us.

I had the same problem when I first joined beta last time. It may not be the same solution but worth a shot doing what I did as it stumped me before.

Try to copy the link into safari. It will take you to that page saying get test flight ect. Ignore that and scroll up near the top of your screen like you're trying to pull a pop up box down (not quite so high so it will pull down the notification panel but the same sort of action). For me at least that brings down the pop up box (which I have no idea why it needs to be dragged down in the first place but) that gives you the option to then launch test flight (which is already downloaded) then accept the invite. Hopefully that's the problem and solution and you can try it next wave since this one seemed to fill nearly instantly.

No you can keep TestFlight if the invite ain’t full you’ll see a “start testing” button on the safari page you opened, if you click on it and everything works right you shall be able to see Sky beta in your TestFlight app

the fact that i keep seeing a good portion of y’all talking about losing sleep or skipping your irl needs is really alarming. please read this is you haven’t already.

please do not “camp” or wait for the next waves for an unhealthy amount of time. make sure to take care of yourself and your irl work/necessities while waiting. beta invitations isn’t something that’s worth losing so much of your time trying to get in for. you can always help improve the game with live bug reports and feedback! beta or no beta you’re still doing so much to the community by already being here.

this includes sacrificing schoolwork or job hours for it, invites tend to be sent in waves so people in different time zones all have a chance to get in!
most people who do get in usually just play with the new season for a few days and never play beta again, which is a whole other can of words itself and shouldn’t be the reason to give yourself and others so much trouble about it. waiting for the content to go on live when it’s not as messy and in progress is simply the best option if you just want to get beta for the early access. patience is key.

Dear all confused Google previous users: If you can updated your game to 0.11.4 (157537) today and log in the game now, you are still in! It happen on me. I miss the 1st wave but able to update the game. when 2nd wave drop it told me I'm already in.thumbsup

so if the page lead you to playstore, check your version. if it is 0.11.4, which mean you are in.
And If the link let you update, just update.👍

Imma repeat again since a new wave happened: If you are new to beta, I recommend getting the chibi mask and/or chair as soon as possible. You can perform glitches with these items that makes getting into multiplayer doors so much easier. Why? When the beta hype dies down, you'll find yourself in a lot of empty servers. If you don't want to wait hours for somebody to come by, get the chibi mask and/or chair. I just want to spread the word to y'all.

I think that's what happened to me as well.. After installing Testflight, I went to safari page and tapped the "Start Testing" button. It then opened in the Testflight app and stayed stuck there with a loading sign, waited but nothing happens.. My device was still on iOS 13..
Currently updating to iOS 14, I'll check again once it's completed.. I still have a little hope that I maybe got in? 😅 haha

They have their own reasons and I believe they honor old players. This isn't a money move for TGC as people usually spend so many for buying candles as they don't have many time to farm (yes, my friends usually do this).
Players that do not have AP will still be able to obtain items that are free, and it does sounds fair because back then you can't get AP locked items if you don't buy the pass. I personally get mixed feelings about this update too, if it will ever to go in live, but whatever decision TGC makes I'm up for it.

I think that we also need to see more tree organization of the cosmetics and prices cause in my case and I know a lot of people who only really want one cosmetics from a ts, the provoking performer tree makes me think in how would be our fav ts cosmetics passing to cost like 30% more in a sense cause it got locked by other items that although is free after getting the ap you're forced to buy, there's some ts that are gonna be seen as better but for others like the umbrella it will be more expensive if the prices of the middle is far superior to the original item price

I do not like the idea of the new TS system honestly makes me feel less about the game. i don't see how any of it is fair when there are people who can't afford passes. This game is for ages 9+ years and not every kid's parent finds the idea of paying for microtransactions to be worth it. In a game that focuses heavily on getting currency solely to buy cosmetics for your avatar, it's not necessary but is important. (the stuff below is not replying to you orang i just don't wanna wait 15 min again haha)
what about players who can't be gifted passes? people who play alone/play with other friends who can't afford 20$ for a mobile game?
I personally don't care doing daily CR for TS prep, and while I know some people dont do daily CR that's their choice, I don't see how locking half of the tree helps. I also havent seen any veteran players complaining about f2p being able to buy seasonal items from TS.
I think a good balance here could be something like regular prices for non-pass people and if you buy a pass then those items are significantly cheaper. This just feels like kind of a big slight against people who can't afford a pass every single season...

• buy the current seasonal AP to access but still need to purchase for candles f̶o̶r̶

For f2p however, just keep it as it is. For fairness to veteran players.

I don't have problem with paywalling pass-only items on traveling spirits, but I do have a problem with the paywall behind the current season pass. I think anyone should be able to pay $1 or $2 to unlock any full traveling spirit tree.

If the only thing you want all season is the last traveling spirit's items, you shouldn't need to buy the full pass just for that.

I'd also say owners of the pass for the spirit's original season should get automatic access.

It's not about what's not needed to play the game it's about the experience of the game. The cosmetics are a cornerstone of this game and you can see that through the amount of fan creations you can find online. I can afford passes and I never found the idea of newer players catching up to be an issue. I'm not gonna be asking other people to buy me passes. Also, I actually like the fact that my new friends can match with me through the current TS system.

Alr I don’t think people are thinking of veterans on this one, they promised us that seasons wouldn’t come back, which was one of the reasons we bought these passes, but then they went ahead and brought back the spirits, that wasn’t really nice for us, but with this system it at least makes them a bit rarer. The money people were going to send on candle packs will now just go to seasons, sky isn’t money hungry at all..
Its not necessary for you to work on these traveling spirits, if you want to be a f2p player, stick to the base game, ascended capes are coming out anyway.

Grinding for a season's cosmetics takes forever and that pride of completion is always for myself. The grind that future players will be going through with future TS' is never taking that away from me. And as someone mentioned already, ultimate gifts are not coming back. It's sad but not something that I begrudge as a newer player. (forever pining for rhythm hair) It's also not something I would be asking for because that defeats the purpose of the seasonal passes.
Also, arguing that this is a social game so cosmetics don't matter is moot since part of the social aspect is playing matchy matchy with friends.

I wish for a world where tgc gives you a ultimate gift if you get every item off of every tree in a specific seasonal set of constellations and then you can pick it up for 100 ac in ||orbit||, as it would take months of grinding and a whole lot of luck, maybe not the same kind of grinding as for seasonal candles and the cost of an adventure pass, but enough for veterans to feel good about their accomplishments and keep the gifts exclusive enough. (This would probably also change with some cosmetics being blocked behind an adventure pass)
I know in my heart this will not happen, along with my dreams of one day getting the deer mask, but one can dream.

The overall total cost of the entire tree is fewer candles—it's not necessarily a reduction on a per-item basis.

The hat is 70 candles by itself now.

Previously it would take:
42 candles for the mask
34 candles for the hat
15 candles for the music sheet

We wanted to make sure that the spells remained cheap so that the wing buffs and upgraded expressions remained easily accessible.

My brother is 12 and loves to play Sky, ive been given AP to him for 3 seasons now, because he isn't legally allowed to have a bank account yet. He's a lucky 12-year-old to have me, but not for everyone else though

I am a little confused... I have beta on my android tablet at home, linked to my google account. A few hours ago, I catched the invite wave, but I was not at home so I clicked it on my phone and immediately could download beta and open my linked beta account. So far, so good, but what does that mean what happens with my beta app at home?! Could I only update in the future when I click the invite link on my other device? Is the ability to update linked to my account or to the physical app???

Maybe I’m the only one... but I actually prefer the 42 candles for the mask and 34 candles for the hat instead of 70 candles for the hat....
I never get the music sheet anyways cause I don’t play music.. so the 15 candle cost really didn’t matter for me.. last time that ts came.. I brought just the hat for just 34 candles and didn’t buy anything else..... that’s half the price... man I’m still hating this and I sat on it for a whole day

A gentle reminder for people saying that the ultimate gifts will not return that TGC has confirmed "[They] plan to bring [Seasonal Pendants and Ultimate Gifts] back in another capacity but [they] have not settled on what that will look like or the costs associated with it."

For me it's not fair to add traveling spirit pass. I mean... buying one game pass is totally fine, because it's something normal rn. However, adding the second pass, and then the third pass will make it hard to afford. A lot of ppl have problems with buying a single pass. And talking things like "that’s how games work" is stupid. They should make make every single ts paid xD

I think a discount (maybe even a hefty one) is good but making it a requirement is kind of unfair for new players, young players (this game is like 9 and up isn't it?) And people who just can't afford it

As someone who has the ap and has gotten the ultimate gift, someone grinding 3 + hours for 5+ days or whatever for some fire pants doesn't hurt my feelings. I took my time doing 4 quests a day and had WEEKS i could miss
Also I got it months before them anyway. If in 8 months my friend wants to sell their soul to sky and grind or buy candle packs so we can match i don't see the problem

One more thing to add about paying with actual money, I have a friend who would love to do a lot of in app purchases. However due to where she lives, she can't. Her country is in blacklist and it has put a big toll on her, so far she has been lucky that I could share my pass with her, but it's getting harder and harder due to how the world is right now.
