that would make sense if you're being returned back to the same instance you were just in, as opposed to being thrown into a new one (i.e. getting split from your friends' instance)

if you're doing it solo, moving fast definitely helps, so try jump-hopping instead of just normal running to move between candles

the way it was for me when doing it solo was a case of trying to move as fast as possible to get as much progress in i can before i died each time, so it was pretty repetitive (particularly at the third part of the trial)

also, for anyone who likes to end their beta runs at the 8-player puzzle: if you wait until the spirit cutscene happens and then step off of the elevator platform and onto the surrounding area, the game should recognise your latest checkpoint as being in that room when the puzzle is completed -- you should be able to log in at next reset and go straight back to the completed puzzle candles at next reset via the return shrine, so try dragging some friends with you

Using the shrine? Friends can warp to you this way too? What i know so far that friends are able to warp to you if you completed the 8 player puzzle and waiting for them there. If you warp to a friend who did it but somebody tries to warp to you they wont be able to do it.

the way i did it earlier involved waiting for some friends to come online, then telling them to join me via the constellation once i left home using the return shrine -- i think what happened in that instance was that they were "jumping to my checkpoint" or something, and my checkpoint was when the room was in its completed state

oh wait pakka, i understand what you're saying now -- yeah, what you're describing doesn't work because when you join a friend, your own return shrine doesn't immediately point to where their last respawn point was (so any friends joining you probably wouldn't be pointed to a "completed state" of the puzzle map, if that makes sense?)

to give a really quick example, say my return shrine currently sends me to prairie, but i join a friend who's in wasteland via the constellation and immediately leave -- if i don't move far enough in wasteland to actually update my respawn point, then my return shrine actually sends me back to where i last was in prairie

you should be able to join a friend who's in a completed instance of the 8 player puzzle, but since your own actual respawn point isn't in a completed instance, i'm guessing that'd mess with things when a friend tries to join you in there

I’m so impressed with tgc atm , Sky just keeps on getting better ..it’s so beautifully smooth to fly -the controls and camera so precise (recently tried other games and uninstalled instantly lol mainly cause they just don’t do what sky does for me and that’s impress ) , switch players are in for a treat ...

Not too keen on the toggle over clouds .. pointless and annoying but I’ll live with it ... the isle updates are to the waters edge and distant clouds .looks nice .. (that’s if I’m correct) obelisk don’t look any different and still get those lines inside the light .., fire trial sounds amazing .,, my favourite trial for sure (10 minutes and 4 deaths is my record to beat) I think you could do it in 2 deaths but u must die it’s impossible not to because of how one certain part is designed ..

Air trials though is the one I play the most...the wind blowing stoping me proceeding to light the checkpoints makes me laugh so much I love it 🤍

@gaunt prism Thankyou , I really do love sky and I have never ever found it repetitive ...everyday is different and just being able to fly with such grace is the best thing since sliced bread ... in each area I love to try get each candle or dark plant (if popped) swooping to get each bit in without stopping or touching the ground ... me and my friend both know each others route (which is the fastest route and the only route where it’s possible to play like this flowing) .... I’m also a paying player and not to be nasty to those who don’t pay but I will say that it really annoys me when the ones who don’t pay moan about repetitive gaming or candle farming ... I for one love candle farming and paying .. I’d rather candle farm more and pay less but as long as the game allows you to candle farm which is my favourite thing about sky then I’ll keep playing .. 🕊🤍stay safe🤍🕊

yes on live but on beta you can’t go across platforms. i.e. I can’t use my android beta account on my new ipad but I can use my live account on my new ipad. The way you’re describing though you can’t be playing the same account on two devices at the same time to get multiple camera angles of your skykid.

Ah, the wind tunnel in Prairie is a fixed route and has been since forever. It is currently actually the old route, before the whole area got a revamp, which is why you fly through the clouds sometimes.

i've been in beta since belonging (before ts) and don't have 150. the only way to have 150 is to have taken advantage of a bug in orbit that showed past seasonal spirits, which only a few did.

they actually could get buffs during the enchantment season but they had to have the older spirits unlocked

you could buy buffs from spirits directly in orbit, but this only if you had them unlocked. so you had to be there for a while in fact

edit: we also tried the same thing while said friend had the orbit star before, and the pity star still isn't there -- looks like it will only appear if you actually died outside of eden to get in there

that's apparently the spirit that appears at the space station to send you back to the normal office map, from what i'm told -- but if you have a table, you might be able to get to it in closed wing mode in beta now

there are 2 places where you can skip the moving platforms by using the wind to your advantage, but other than that, the wind usually knocks you off

again, it's easier to do it the normal way, unless you want to show off

I used a tatic where a friend would act as a checkpoint for the other as we progressed to harder sections

it gets easier as you practice, but the first time through it definitely feels like a hurdle
the friend checkpoint thing definitely helps on the last few jumps if you're trying to do it normally without attempting the shortcut

also, fighting against the wind is usually futile -- you usually want to move with the wind or straight through it rather than against it, so if you're caught in a spot where you're trying to move directly against it, look at how it's moving and see if you can figure out another path

I'm glad they are not part of the main game, and if you don't want to do them you don't really need them to progress. We mainly use the trials now if we want to do something different than cr or something which has a beginning and an end. Fire trial tho... I totally agree with that blep. I can do it alone but i never felt hyped about going there and lighting candles for 30 mins at least in the dark. I thought i'm the only one who thinks it's boringly repetitive.

I've played this game for 2 years. I have been complimented on my excellent flying skills. I fail to see how me being unable to complete air trial has anything to do with skills. It's all just down to learning how to work around the bad controls in it, not acquiring a new skill.

I don't think the cutscene will be separated from the trials. Enchantment final scene was tied to completing the last quest and automatically played upon the last quest, same with sanctuary. so even if we get a scene involving the spirits this time I don't think beta will see it outside of them giving us a video like they did with sanctuary. they did already upgrade the scenes when you complete the trials though

Wanted to pop in about the "2 years of support" for Sky from that press interview, since it's being taken a little out of context.

We'll support the game as long as there are players who support it. Two years is more about how far we have content planned in advance. We are not going to just shut the game down one day in 2022.
