Hi. Just had an idea I want to place somewhere before I forget.
So I had an idea of making the WL available in the each trial shrine after you've completed the trail once. That way you just have to go to each shrine and not run the trial again if you need to get the WL back. I had another idea that is probably equally as unfeasible. Instead of them being WL they could be permanent wing buffs. I know wing buffs are always attached to a spirit but what if the wing buffs were a connection between each prophet and the trial? It wouldn't give anyone an unfair advantage as the trials are open to everyone and will remain after the season. To me it solves the problem of having to recollect that WL. Too messy? Apologies for the huge block of text.
Edit: oh, but then there is the problem with these spirits returning as TS with wing buffs...

Water: ~15 mins
Earth: ~20 mins
Wind: ~35 mins
Fire: over an hour and I rage quit on last stage

something to help for fire (maybe?): the dust bunnies have set paths. even if their cycles are bad at times since they can overlap, if you learn them, you will know how to avoid them and which candles are safe at certain times. i can get through fire in under 20 minutes now just by observing the patterns.

No. Remember the locafions in Enchantment. Green light was in Prairie. Prairie Elder got green light in murals. So Prairie was the only realm unaffected through time.
For the other realms, its wrong. Blue light was not meant to be in Forest, thus created rain that hurts our light. Cyan light froze Valley, drying up GW. Orange Light created Krills in GW

With Forest tho, its raining water thats draining our light and Valley is literally frozen over. There's Krills everywhere in GW. That doesn't mean seem right to me...

Also with Krills, I believe they're similar to the worms. They're created from the orange light. Someone in lore chat noticed the smoke and clouds in the entrance mural for orange light was in a shape of a Krill...

I always had the impression that each area's Elder had been made responsible for their own area. Or taken control over an area. And then their mistakes or good fortune reflected in what the area looked like. I think there is lore about the Elders being in conflict with each other about what to do with the light that they harvested.
In Prairie they are obviously (?) harvesting butterflies for light sources somehow.

@void frost When you report something in the bug channels it doesn't mean you will get a personal response. It's just a channel that collects all reports from all players, so that devs can work on finding a solution. The seasonal heart issue was later resolved in a patch, and there is generally never any compensation for currency loss in beta. I'm sorry.

If you lose currency in Live, you can contact Customer Support and they are usually able to fix it/compensate you.

seasonal candles? yeah, we get more of them in beta than in live because beta seasons tend to be shorter, so the gains are accelerated to help with the testing -- that being said, there's no guarantee the beta season will run long enough for us to collect everything either

quests (4) and the extra from the seasonal pass (1) are the same between live and beta -- the difference is in the 4 candle clusters found in the realms per day (1 full candle in total daily in live, 6 full candles in total daily in beta); overall daily difference is 6 vs 11 assuming both cases have the adventure pass

Neel Poll, no, there was an actual bug, where people didn't get a seasonal heart from the spirits, only a regular one. So it had nothing to do with how fast you clicked.
How far along is everyone else, btw? I know we all got varying amounts of candles initially.

Since I've started beta testing I've always seen very few players in the Vault. Most of the time I'm the only one, so i can't do the 4 players door.

Don't expect the cooperate door to open in beta. The 8-person door and 4-person door can only be opened when the testers are reset.

i did actually see two of the 4 player doors open earlier, but that's because there were a giant cluster of players milling about right after the daily reset -- think that just happened because everyone was there and needed the same thing after the meditation quest
in general, the chibi mask is a good investment for the 2-4 player doors if you know how to get past each of them

Testers will be reset and recruited due to the waves . Unfortunately, only the staff knows when the tester will be reset .New testers want to get emotes, so trying to open a four-person or eight-person door. We often see them when the new waves happen. Can you understand what I'm saying?

i tested the trials on the first day, and i can say that i didn't experience any server splits when dying, so this is not intended at all

When the trial first came out in beta i didn't experienced the split, but after the next update getting servered happened every single time. I don't think its intended cause if u start jumping into the deep and die you will merge with your friend eventually.

I think the hardest part of the firetrial is figuring out where to go... sometimes the candles are inside boulders so you have to turn and walk inside and that’s not too obvious :(

the first time you finish the game u get a survey then when u make your first IAP and then after a long time if you make another IAP you could get another survey, well that's in my experience, some users say you could get one randomly but I'm not 100% sure about that

15.75 is the max ascended candles per week if you get every statue in eden. it's a pretty decent amount (or was until spells started costing ascended candles )
I'm not complaining about spells costing red candles. that was actually a brilliant way to give older players reasons to keep doing eden and maybe helping the moffs there

Thwy also thought they would never do it too.. Now they are glowing with light coming out their eyes and mouth caused thry enjoyed so much 🙂

i think it intended to look like a long trench coat cape but idk

I just did air trial on phone and on tablet, both with one hand mode.
- The last part is somehow way easier to do with phone. ( maybe because smaller hand gestures are associated with bigger movements / camera rotations there?)
- There is a lot of skippable part in the trial if you use the wind, including the last part.

Yes to number 1 i water trial! Noticed it yesterday in Live, when doing that trial with a friend. I was mostly passive, holding their hand and when we both died in water and respawned on a shrine hill, I would also slide off it really quickly. (Death loop issue!) I assume this is the case in beta also, but haven't been able to double check yet.

It's super confusing, because I kept holding the friend's hand while they presumable skated over the water towards the wing light. But all I could see was them kind of half-swimming looking all normal. They said I looked the same to them.

Uhmm me neither managing beta with almost daily updates and live wasn't really ideal to slow down and think about the murals it was just a random thought if the maze is the same on the wall as fire that would be an epic fail if I haven't noticed that earlier.
Shandy2017 you can reach the end plattform with the statue without jumping through the 3 candle ones. It's not intended i bet, but it's there

Yep it's possible with one handed but still feels pretty random when I can make it almost immediately or after 1000 deaths. (i'm too dumb to use 2 ✋ mode )

One handed is like watching a photo on your phone. Basically the same gestures zoom in zoom out rotate with 2 finger anywhere in the screen, moving one finger, swipe Jump.
(Also best mode to be able to eat your lunch while you keep playing )

I can do Water, no problem. Finally made it through Fire (updated fire) with a friend doing most of the leading. Still need to Air again. I've tried so many times since the updates, but no luck. Earth isn't terrible but I need more patience to make it through the last parkour section again. I'm not a gamer so these type of things are not terribly easy for me.

Hey guys I’m not really the tattle tell type and I don’t really care what people do as long as it doesn’t result in ruining gameplay for anyone or hacking. But how do you report an actual hacker? I googled to make sure I wasn’t wrong or maybe someone can shed some light on it for me but someone added me in beta and when I light their candle to see their child they had the fur cape from rhythm except it was red. When I asked where they had got it they said Christmas event. I checked the event and the only item obtained would be a Santa hat. I took photos of this person with the cape and I must say although it looks really really amazing. It’s obviously not an in game item. If I’m absolutely wrong I don’t mind acknowledging my mistake but if this is indeed a hack they are just adding everyone in the home and flaunting the cape and telling everyone how they got it. It’s not right

also absolutely nobody here is going to be upset with you for reporting players we're all fiercely protective of the TGC devs and we appreciate all the hard work they put into this game. The good news about reporting is that it's not an auto-ban. They investiage every report to decide if further action is needed so it's a good idea to report anything you find suspicious. It could help the devs pinpoint weird bugs too that the bug reports channel might not have gotten

Well thank you! Yeah I normally just go about my day but when I saw this persons cape and he said from Christmas event I immediately said impossible. The cape was from season of rhythm and it was red and I know Christmas event was obviously before rhythm and although it looked amazing I doubted TGC would rerelease a cape just in blue for a seasonal cape.

Nothing you get in beta is guaranteed to stick around — not access to your account or access to the items you‘ve earned. Be gentle with yourself and remember that live is the real focus for collecting

Should I tell the dev that I’m going through beta tester burnout? Before this season hits live, there was one week when TGC releases a new update everyday. I was so eager to help the dev that I test the same features on every build everyday and submit feedback everyday as well as reporting bugs. When the season hits live, I was so exhausted that I couldn’t log onto beta even now, 2 weeks from the live season release, and I got kinda scared of bug reporting that I have found at least 5 live bugs but haven’t reported. I hope this doesn’t make me a terrible beta tester, I did try but I feel like this system of releasing an update then having another one up right the next day puts beta testers at a disadvantage. So many things to test with every update, how can we get the feedback in time to test another one?

@spark lance They said that they don’t want you to spend all of your time doing beta and make yourself suffer. It’s fine if you want to take a break as their are many other testers to help. We don’t want beta affecting your health so it’s fine if you need to take a break

Don't feel bad about burnout. Beta testing is a lot. The best thing about all of this is that there are thousands of us testing! If you need a break from testing/reporting bugs, then please take one. Take care of yourself

Thanks for the kind words guys. I’m just wondering whether this should be something to report to the dev on. They push out new builds and updates way too fast, just this week we have one build and then another build right the next day. This makes it impossible for me to test all the builds out even when I’m on a long non - working break. One of my beta friends has also reported not being able to participate in beta much because of this. What do you guys think?

You're free to give feedback in #beta-feedback about it! But these updates are for small bugfixes, which is why there are so many of them. It just depends on their need. But I get feeling overwhelmed by all of them. Its good to take a break sometimes

That's why the beta slots are so many(though they usually drop off into the hundreds after the season hype dies), so many people can still test and try stuff out on their own pace. Personally I love every new build they send out, it's actually lead to live burnout more than beta burnout , just remember its not your full responsibility to test, you can take breaks

You brought up an interesting point abt the number of beta slots Lyze. My concern with this is that the number drops down to a couple of hundreds after season hype, so it may not be beneficial to have more drop out because of burnout like myself? I think it’s a reflex that when one become a beta tester and get pinged for beta updates, one will want to hop on and just test every single update out there just because .... of the ping. Might be great if there could be a message reminding beta testers to not burn out or st like that

Fire trial burned me out too i didn't even go close to it for more than a week after the first time i tested that alone. Instead i played with friends did aome regular cr tested a bunch of boat and ooze related thing. ( Srry from everyone who may came across with them and if they blocked anything ) .
Daily updates were intense i agree. (My data is still complaining when i was dumb enough to download it with that instead of waiting to arrive home)
