Sometimes you literally just have to watch their pattern. After all going wreckless is gonna lead you to more anger. So be patient. Literally breathe.
Honestly my tip is that if you have to move away. Just move. You'll drain less if you're in the dark then being hit by em and walk back to recharge (dunno if that's a helpful tip but that's what I've learn)

Google is trying to fix the issue with players stuck in limbo, things may appear wonky for Android testers for a few days. Android beta is capped, but when people leave the program, someone else can join in. Unlike iOS, where you leave the program that slot doesn't open back up.

Regarding traveling spirits, the order is random, but we on the dev team know what things are in advance because we have to create the schedule and implement it into the game code. We also have to** prepare for the event** in terms of social media teasers and art assets (those don't appear magically out of nowhere, a real live human has to spend real time making them) schedule things like MOTD that announces their arrival. Does that make the order any less random? 
They are still chosen at random. It's impossible to try and ascribe logic to it and "figure out" what the next spirit is going to be without doing things that are against ToS.

Okay, decided to put my past trauma of fire trial behind me and try out the changes. I will be putting some things behind spoiler blocks as some Android players haven't gone in yet.
First, it is easier. Easier as in fair. ||There were a few points as solo, you didn't have time to light the candles without backtracking|| and being really good at touch controls, or just ||taking a reset/death||. Those were eliminated this build due to ||adjustments with the shadows' pathing.||
All in all, just grow the courage and grab or make a friend to make it easier on yourself if you don't want a challenge. Finished this solo run in less than 20 minutes taking my time. Kudos to the developers and designers listening to our feedback without making solo too easy.

Chloe, your iPhone 11 supports auto NFC scanning, so you don't need the star button. Just simply tap the pin to your phone while playing, I would assume.

We have a placeholder schedule built out a tiny bit in advance in case there are unexpected delays, but we re-roll it when new spirits are added to the eligibility pool as seasons come and go. For cases of extreme bad luck we may intervene and replace it with something more appropriate. Such as the same spirit multiple times in a row. though the probability of that occurring is less than 0.1% and progressively decreasing as more spirits are added to the eligibility pool.
For example, the first repeat spirit, the sassy one felt a little early to have a repeat, and it was pretty heavily debated on whether to intervene and replace it with something else, but we looked at the wider picture and felt that since it was post-android global launch, we had a huge amount of new players that never saw it the first time, and chose not to intervene.

Hmm okay, I’m from Australia where we get the dear red-back variant of it. Just as venomous if not more but they sport a bright red stripe going around their back rather than the hourglass and their body shape is a little different. I didn’t even recognise the symbol and probably never would if not for a friend so I’m wondering if there’s anything that could be changed to make it more obvious. Perhaps wedges 6-10 are a spider shaped outline around the hourglass symbol?

It's fairly easy in my opinion, just follow the candles

Well fire temple is definitely different, it's no longer straight grounds... There's less of earth quakes when farts fly by, and the farts are one hit ko. Plus there's less checkpoints on the second level. I haven't found any checkpoint except the one right by the door

If you’re confused, let me explain what I think happened.
Since she and I share Apple IDs, we can download the apps we bought on each other’s devices. So if I bought Minecraft for example, she can also download Minecraft.
Same thing with beta. Since I signed up for beta with our thing and I downloaded it, it also applied for her. So she got into beta yesterday though me. Also we have different Game Center accounts, so she has her own thing.

Okay, decided to put my past trauma of fire trial behind me and try out the changes. I will be putting some things behind spoiler blocks as some Android players haven't gone in yet.
First, it is easier. Easier as in fair. ||There were a few points as solo, you didn't have time to light the candles without backtracking|| and being really good at touch controls, or just ||taking a reset/death||. Those were eliminated this build due to ||adjustments with the shadows' pathing.||
All in all, just grow the courage and grab or make a friend to make it easier on yourself if you don't want a challenge. Finished this solo run in less than 20 minutes taking my time. Kudos to the developers and designers listening to our feedback without making solo too easy.

what do you think of more content like the fire trial IE more or less darkness / cave / dungeon exploration style. I'm thinking about taking away some of the group charging benefits in certain areas to add to the challenge. Right now group charge might be a bit too generous for some of the 'challenge' content in the grand scheme.

if it's possible to weaken the strength of the group charging, that might give you some more options for balancing these sorts of challenges in such a way that the difficulty change between solo and group isn't quite as stark as some of the earlier versions of the fire trial (haven't tried the current iteration to give feedback on), it's probably worth considering

Hmm, I certainly like the fire trial and its darkness. I'd be interested to see a similar setting in future but with the bullseye lantern. Not everyone has it so it would have to be an auto equip item upon entering but could make a really eerie climb or navigation through the smog. I'm thinking like eden sort of thing where there's strong audio cues and a big open area but with difficult terrain you have to try and accomplish.

yaya the last thing i want to do is make something too tough simply to counterbalance group charge right now, i personally beat all my content solo to ensure other players can as well, but i'm not opposed to group content either. i do like group challenges but I think we need to incorporate some group charge rules in 'challenge' scenarios etc to have proper balance

i think the main thing at least a few of us didn't like was the perception that the apparent "solution" to a trial would be to go in a group, and that solo isn't an intended experience -- glad to hear what your thoughts were on it above
air trial did have some advantages in groups if you went with a friend who you had warp unlocked with, you'd basically be able to skip past parts that you couldn't do/weren't good at if your friend could do it, and vice versa -- but yeah, the advantages here are quite different compared to what fire trial was offering

ya next major update to fire trial i hope to have in group challenge controls vs solo. right now it's too easy with group, expect solo to remain the same level of challenge, while group might get a bit trickier. I do like seeing how clever you've been in groups making the healing triforce on eachothers shoulders and all holding hands. I think it's simply too strong that you can walk unhindered in the darkness and the spectres/shadows/darkness isn't a threat

Me and my friends kinda balanced fire trial’s easiness level by not holding hands/not piggybacking and just following each other manually. It was interesting and a fun medium ground where people lit candles but didn’t carry each other unless there was a rly tough part. Yes we died a lot too but it was fun to gripe about the fluffies together

Yes! I was helping a friend grabbing a star they lost and got stuck down a hole! It was so tight I couldn't even pull up the keypad to type because the camera forced my kid to cover the entire screen and honking overwrites the text option. Thankfully my mad honking was enough and a take hand option appeared at the top of my screen after a few seconds letting me fly back up to my friend at the top. Most terrifying sky moment of my life

I think the main issues with "non testers" downloading beta is that a) they think it's early access, b) they don't know what/how to test and report issues, c) server overload (I think?).

Depth perception has only really been a problem for me in the air trial. A couple platforms look bigger than they are because they seem farther away and that throws everything out of wack.

Yes, I think the b/w environment plays into the depth perception issue. But I have also found (and left feedback on) that movement in general is...erratic. Sometimes I jump/skip, sometimes I don't, sometimes the flight toggle pops in automatically, sometimes not. It doesn't feel like a test of my abilities.

Unless they merge people at the same timing.. I.e the flow of water, or in earth, when the orientation of the cubes match between the two servers ;o

- the icon over your head isn't meant to be there, as stated in #beta-known-issues, so it's kinda purposeless
- i believe you shouldn't get kicked back to a lower checkpoint, that's a bug
