Just noticed but when you first start in the fire trial the icon is a flame but after you die the first time it looks like the flap icon. It was the flame icon 100% of the time before the update. Task think this is a bug or part of the update

Fire Trial solo has been inconsistent for me. Yesterday I did a run that was really rough; even got locked into a quasi-deathloop where a creature would repeatedly pwn me right as I respawned. But when I ran again today, it wasn't all that tough. I still prefer running with friends.

While the topic has passed by a couple days, I wanted to provide a proper statement and clarification about stalking and accusing others of stalking. Please refrain from name calling. If you're concerned by another player's behavior please report it in #contact-the-mods or message @hardy carbon and let a Mod or TGC Staffer handle it.

With the beta invite hype, I have pointed out that camping out in a non-discussion/read-only channel (such as #beta-signup-info #beta-announcements #beta-known-issues ) to see when a dev is typing, then proceeding to move to an active chat channel such as this one to announce that they saw typing is exhibiting some concerning, and potentially unhealthy, behavior. Which is why I've said on multiple occasions that I'm bothered and concerned by the behavior and asked for it to stop.

I understand that it may be coincidence they're reading the most recent post and not a case that people are camping out in the channels waiting to see activity. Again, it's the conscious act of moving to an active chat channel and announcing it to others is cause for concern.

We understand there's a lot of excitement and hype when beta has lots of new things to see and try out. We're excited to share with you all too! However, announcing that you saw typing doesn't necessarily mean anything is happening any time soon and it's best to keep the observation to yourself. It may have been a mistype, editing an existing post, or a draft that may be hours or days away from being published. Making announcements that you saw typing might be getting others excited prematurely or for no reason at all. It can even cause people to get impatient, or openly hostile and rude, while waiting for an announcement to be published that isn't ever going to arrive.

Remember to have patience and show kindness towards one another instead of making accusations or resorting to name calling.

The fire spirit is not available in beta yet. There is no way to get the pants from the spirit or the ultimate mask from the season through legitimate means. If you find someone with these items in game, please report them. That is all you need to do. Collecting all WL is just the same as doing your CR's. It's up t you if you wanna do it or not.

TGC gave us the trials to give us fresh adventures, like mini games within the actual game. It's always up to the players if they wanna play it or not.

For my report, make sure you're being led and leader is wearing founder's cape. That might be why it didn't trigger during my tests. All others work as advertised or if I was lead.

I tried to get over there in time to get in on it and I just missed it.

The extra pass bundle is a separate item, so they know it is worth 3 passes in their back end reporting system I would assume. (1 for you and two gift passes)

Each device is different. mine was on a pixel 3a. Each beta update has been 881 mb for me.

@hasty trench sorry for the double ping but this is a solid response, plus the extra pass doesn't expire at the end of the season so you can use it on a friend at a later date. We track things like purchases and % of completion of a season (as well as send out surveys) to help us gauge the success of the content we create.

Keep in mind as each season passes, new spirits are added to the pool of eligibility, so the chance of the spirit you want appearing becomes lower and lower, purely from a statistical standpoint.

you mean the winged light seem to be the rewards at the end of the challenges/puzzles instead of the spirits? i guess i can kind of see where you're coming from there, but we still need to actually candle grind for the spirit cosmetics themselves

it seems thematically speaking for the season of "prophecy" though -- the prophets themselves are here to tell us of something greater coming in advance, so it's not the prophet spirits who are really the focus, but what they're pointing towards (and the murals make a very big focal point on the child of light -- hence, the winged light being the rewards of the trials)

In my personal opinion, I kinda like the 4 new WLs being behind a long task to get. Getting the other 87 winged lights in realms is pretty quick and you can already get 10 wedges before even worrying about traveling spirits.

If they made them easy to get or too many, I personally wouldn't have liked it. It also fits the theme of the Prophecy where the original sky people needed to go through these tasks for the one winged light.

Anyone up for some beta lore speculation based on the murals?

Did shinyboi create the storm 👀 👀 , also the colours are in different regions than enchantment, unless the one I'm counting as orange is actually red, but blue in forest and cyan in valley are different, so I'm wondering if part of that the lights prior to Eden were put in "unnatural" places except prairie, which is less touched by the corruption

Forest has been corrupted water in the rain, associated with blue light wanting to be in valley,
Valley has been corrupted with air between the ruins (citadel) and races broken structures, associated with the cyan light wanting to be in the free Isles air.
Wasteland has been "burnt" which is associated with the orange light, which wants to be in forest.
