Yeah I don’t think that you should block people just because they aren’t active but instead of them adding an unfriend option they should fix the issue that causes people to block others for no reason: the ui

Yeah usually it’s not an issue, but I’ve had instances where a very old friend logged back on after months.. and I happen to run into them at home, and then something happens that splits us and I am unable to rejoin them.

smarties: I definitely encourage you to voice that in #live-feedback and include what device ur using. it definitely helps devs know who and how many people are having trouble with it. I need to play with it more but... my phone’s physical sensitivity isn’t so good on the edge of the screen sometimes. The old position was perfect SkyDontGo

I cant record video with the in game recorder still. It acts like it's recording but never saves anywhere. I've reported it before SkyFaint so idk if the flight mode affects that button since i rarely attempt to use it

About the blocking feature, sorry for using it, it was for testing purposes to see how many were active in the game and checking for lags on my device and some other technical possibilities. (I'm saying these to the lurkers)

I just had to block (and I counted) 31 people on live for about 5 minutes so I could find a specific friend. turns out the friend constellation UI doesn't prioritize online friends like I thought it did SkyShrug based on who it was showing me I think it prioritizes friends that have sent you light first, then friends with the highest friendship upgrades after that. online or not doesn't seem to matter unless there's multiple friends with the same amount of friend upgrades that fall on the line of being shown or not shown

Yeah I dunno how it works. In live one of my oldest sky friends and someone I regularly gave and got hearts from just disappeared when I went on a friend binge. The friend constellation leaves A LOT to be desired. I and a bunch of my friends have a bug where people you light don’t stay lit. Once you close the constellation and reopen they show that you can light them again. Annoying when you try to light everybody.

it should just pop up in your notifications, I have everything muted except beta invite channel. Your best bet is to get the beta invite ping and make sure the invite channel is unmuted so you get the notifs. TGC tries their best to release multiple waves at different time zones so everyone has the chance. Remember to be patient, other than beta ping nobody gets notified when waves are posted! stickerHug

I feel like as it currently stands, when a friend cycles out, it becomes a bit of a downward spiral, in that you can’t meet them and interact with them or send them light because they aren’t appearing, which means they’ll appear less and less frequently until they don’t appear at all. This is good in that it cycles out inactives, but it also can lead to you losing friends just randomly because you have too many to spend time with them all.

In all fairness the swing, and the staff are equally as useless.. if there was vaule on a heart comparatively to a candle $1 would be fairish considering 3 candles equals out to a dollar, and the staff being 20 and makeing noise and breed light trades out well for no noise and constant light.... i just taked myself into this lamp thing...

I’m sure the shepherds and admins/etc agree that you should not sacrifice your health for the sake of beta. The build on beta is the same as the live build we just released, everything should work the same. The warp block is for the friendship ability that costs 2 scentedcandle to unlock. You can still warp to people from the friend constellation.

i've returned!
got a friend warp blocked me while we were in the same area, i was still able to warp back to them. then i went home and tried to rejoin and it says "your friend is in a place where you can't join right now".
so i assumed the warp block feature doesn't work instantly?

Yes i meant the friendship ability. Ohh ! rune then this was why my friend couldn't join me after he was blocked, from constellation. But when he was there he could still use the friendship ability. We tried it after restarting but the effect was the same. Thanks for the answer pThink i will check it in live too later.

yes! so i guess you could still warp to them if they just blocked you on the spot, but you wouldn't be able to teleport back to them once you both split ways? it's a neat feature. i think it will certainly help people if ever they feel the need to avoid certain individuals. also thank you pakka, i was curious about this new feature as well. glad i could help a bit!

I understand there are barriers, unfortunately, as a small american company, most of our dealings are primarily in english, and beta is for testing purposes to help us better the game, so we need to do things in a way that is manageable and effective for our small team. There are tens if not hundreds of thousands of people who want beta for a multitude of reasons, but ultimately Beta is a development tool to ensure the Live version of the game is stable, and due to constraints set forth by platform developers, we will never be able to accommodate every person who wants to beta test.

Re: Arabic language support and the regional community representative job opening. We got a little ahead of ourselves, and turns out there's a considerable amount of work that needs to be done to the game to add support for languages that do not read left to right, and the team is working on it. I don't have any info or ETA on it at this time, but we are working on it.

It's better to link your account to google/game center, but screenshotting your recovery code is an acceptable backup measure.

We do take community feedback on translations for currently supported languages, but we don't currently crowdsource entire language support from the community.

@grand wave You would have to contact customer support to recover your account with just the recovery code. if you link your account you can recover it yourself with their help.

you can test on two devices with the same account. unless one is android and one is ios, then you need two separate invites.

if you dont check the jellyfish cave before turning in the final bell quest it locks you into a screen that just stares at the last bell forever, so make sure you check the cave before finding the last bell and going back to the spirit otherwise it soft locks the game. I'd post this in the bugs found but I dont have permission :/

There will be access wipe everytime when new season is about to start in beta.
Your beta access will still get wiped no matter how many bugs you reported etc. Access wipe will be everytime.

Adding to what KayAlida said, the invite waves wont happen right after the access wipe takes place, so you don't have to worry about being awake or present at that time (or being present at any specific time really, since there's going to be several waves in the course of the next few days). Also reminder for beta testers to link their accounts to google/game center before the access wipe takes place so you don't lose your progress if you get in again!

I don't know how Apple's beta program works, but for Android, once they share the invite link, you opt in for the Beta and within 24 hours (if the stars align and Google isn't having issues) the "Sky: Children of the Light (BETA)" app on the play store should be able to be installed/updated.

I enjoy finding and reporting the bugs but playing solo for 99% of the time so the ones connected with personal interactions would escape me. Beta is like a volunteer job really, I didn’t collect many normal spirit cosmetics because no heart exchange is happening but still that didn’t hinder my bug finding.

The beta is a version of Sky, that we get access to from either Testflight or Google to receive new updates. That access needs to be obtained in the beta invites, and they are revoked every access wipe. You don't need to delete the beta, or do anything else between waves. You just need to sign up as a tester again if you want to receive the new updates, as you will not be able to open the app on an earlier version even if you still have the app

It's just a bit disheartening to see all this hype over invite waves and only a fraction of the players active after a month or so. Beta is not early access and free access to paid content and sometimes the only thing we will be able to test is simple, but extremely important things like overheating fixes

those who were in beta for sanctuary can tell you that it was frustrating to have wasted our seasonal hearts on a null item and then not getting the ultimates because of a bug ~~even tho tgc gave them back, but they didn't have to do that~~
there are so many bugs in beta that can sometimes affect your progress. if you wanted to join beta because of shiny free things, i don't think beta is for you. but I'm glad that there are so many others that genuinely want to help make sky a better game pSkyHeart

@boreal junco That can happen if you have another device still logged into discord. Sometimes pings only hit one device. I'd suggest checking with discord support for further troubleshooting.
