Hey, I want to know if someone can confirm whether the spirits on sanctuary islands were disabled (I have been there on live, with the warping method and they weren't there)

I am asking this because I just saw someone with the jellyfish call and belly rub emote. When I ask them, they said they got them from the new map.

Note: I reported them just to be sure

I don’t really candle hunt that much on Beta anymore, usually I do other stuff- but I feel like if you’re candle hunting more you’re more likely to find more bugs, (because you’re going through the whole game basically) which is why I’m trying to go candle hunting more

everything purchasable with in game currency is a tree in sky. you have to buy the previous node to get the top one regardless so they wouldn't change that in beta. If your goal is not "help the devs make the game better for live" then you shouldn't be beta testing. This argument and tone won’t get you anywhere. If you’re on beta to make it as a substitute for live and not test things where you can then it’s better you play only live. We agree that it feels sad, youre in your right to be sad about it, but making demands to tgc that will not get to live and that will take days to implement is not fair when they laid out the facts before you well before you signed up for beta. Read #beta-faq if you havent, read it again if you have already because you might have missed some of the points. Furthermore having a rather bad tone about how you went with this is not okay. Please respect the devs. Respect their work. And play live. You should be caring only about live.

@spark lance no unfortunately it's a problem google needs to fix. If nothing in the FAQ is working then there is nothing you can do as an individual until google fixes the problem. It's also been mentioned not to contact google about it because their response to you would be to basically blame sky devs and tell you they can't do anything. if you don't already I suggest getting the live game and focusing on getting stuff there. You get to keep everything there and beta is pretty much wrapping up testing for the season so there's not a huge need for active testers at present.

While this season is soon to be pushed for live, there’s still a lot more new things to test! Tgc is constantly implementing new features that you might not see apparent that need testing in the beta before they can push to live. The situation with google is disappointing, but I know the team is working their best to try to resolve these issues. Sky beta is a place for tgc to test features so they can put forward their best work, so beta testers are needed regardless of the content, just playing through and reporting stuff already helps them a lot!
Hopefully the situation with google can be resolved soon so everyone had a chance to test, good luck restless and hope this makes sense Kai

There would be no purpose in wiping all beta testers' progress just for the sake of testing a new season. In fact, it may be counterproductive, because then everyone would first have to play through the whole game to open up all areas, before they could even start testing properly.

@spark lance when you come back I figured out how to translate from a photo on my desktop. It does say that your device is incompatible with sky. It might not be how powerful your phone is. There oculd be other factors that make it incompatible. The screenshots look like they're from a desktop computer. Did you try downloading from your phone or from your computer? And what kind of phone do you have?

There is a known issue with Google Play sometimes showing devices as not compatible when they really are. Give the following steps a shot:

-Force close all applications
-Pull down the notification bar on your Android device and hit the gear-shaped settings icon, or find “Settings” in the application tray.
-Navigate to Apps, or App Manager.
-Scroll down and find Google Play Store.
-Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
-Repeat steps for** Google Play Games** and Google Play Services
-Power your device completely down (do not hit the Restart button)
-BE SURE TO LINK YOUR SKY ACCOUNT TO GOOGLE TO SAVE YOUR PROGRESS
-Launch Google Play Store and try reinstalling/updating Sky
-If it still shows up incompatible, close the App Store again and wait a little while before checking back.

We're still waiting to hear back from Google as to why this is happening for some devices, we have made no changes to compatible devices.

You can talk beta here. The live game has a wind-wall to keep players out, but some have bypassed and posted spoilers because either proud of their glitching, or not thinking about how a lot of people don't want it spoiled, or want to be "first" or something... generally I expect it's not malicious, but it's insensitive to spoil stuff ahead of the season start.

I wonder if technically it would be possible to put new areas in the future on different servers and only switch them on when the season starts? Hosting providers still charge for idle server time, true, but significantly less than when the clock is ticking for active usage. I am not suggesting that hacking into the game is acceptable, what I am saying is that technology is available to curb the curious aspect of human behavior.

the reason people were able to hack in is because the last update contained all the info for the new area. it's easier to make it an inactive code than to change something big on the same day

hackers just told the code to be active eden and office can be unwarpable because that's permanent. but it'd be hard to code the game to say don't let people warp to friends in this area and then re-code it later to say do let people warp there and not possibly cause a catastrophic bug on the day of release. (imagine that chaos)

Im assuming that this game runs Java. Java doenst process in app so it mirrors a domain. There would be firewalls to prevent this type of thing but with the right password it is possible to hack, in order to activate the code they would have to connect multiple files to the Main (i know java) and would require some previous skill. So Im pretty sure they are buying a plug in that does it for them

In addition to the barrier and wind wall, the level is currently disabled on live, it should be impossible to load that area without hacking, unless you warp to someone who hacked to get there.

I thought that maybe if someone got past the barrier and someone else warped to they person, it would count the first person as already in sanctuary so it would just put the second person actually inside at some sanctuary spawn point

the sanctuary map is disabled in live until season release, so only illegitimate methods can be used to get in
