Question- when I was in Dawn someone came up to me and rang a bell like the grandma. Any ideas? I know we’re all new to this but didn’t know if I missed something.

They were gray so I couldn’t see exactly but I heard a bell and saw the hand movement

It’s hard to say what the emotes have as gestures as they are advanced.

I was so enthusiastic in my morning haze that I didn't notice that and went ahead and posted something positive in the feedback thread, but now I know how it works.

it's always been "unfair" to those who don't own the pass

but for some reason, I thought this time around they had at least given the option to earn those hearts for non-passholders

there's one in the beginning of graveyard. it's in the skull that has a lamp, to the left of the big plant, one next to that same skull right by the big plant, one next to the sneak stance spirit, one in the skull in front of the entrance to battlefield, 2 are on top of the hiding cylinders near all the crabs

Oh my gerd I about died! First Krill room, it started spazzing out and went all disco strobe light on me when I was behind a rock, then roared and disappeared. I flew to the light in the broken temple area to wait for it to reset and pass and the next thing I know it came up from the floor right into the freaking tiny room and spotted me and went all “I see you little French frie, muhahahah” I hid in a window sill until it couldn’t see me but holy crud!!!

each candle bunch in the wasteland equals one full candle.
This means we get 6 candles (1 daily, 5 quest candles) + 8 more (each one that’s currently out in the wasteland/the other worlds for other days)

Any two player door, I’m missing what is in it. I had a heck of a time getting in the new vault area. I just waited and waited and waited. Finally had to quit for a bit. Came back and waited and waited until finally a server merge with one other player. So I got the seasonal spirit at least. But I’m going to be missing all the “bow” candles in the quests unless I get lucky. I might try for that again later today or when the seasonal candles are there. Perhaps I’ll get help then. Unfortunately many people skip over those areas now so I can beep my little face off, the other players just go straight to the next level without helping to open the doors. I kinda wish there were some kind of timing where if you wait too long, the game has another way to let you in.

Here is my take on this season. I love, love, LOVE the new areas! They are great fun and the one in hidden forest is amazing. But I’m going to pass on the season pass. I started the game after much of Season of Gratitude had passed but I didn’t realize how it all worked and purchased the gift pass for myself and spent the extra $15 in order to give away to passes to some random players in the game. Then I discovered that no matter what I did, I wasn’t going to earn enough to get the deer mask at the end, which was the one thing I really wanted. That soured me a little because I felt that I didn’t get to make an informed choice. So last season I was on top of it. I purchased the season pass right away and spent the $15 to give away a couple passes to some in game friends for fun. But I hated the feeling of having to grind for seasonal candles every. single. day. for FOMO on the final reward. (I know there was a buffer built in but I was afraid of having to use more than the buffer allowed if something IRL should prevent me from playing for a while.) So this season was going to have to really have something I was dying to have to get me to do that all over again. I was hoping for the return of the Winter Season because I was in love with the emotes. The emotes this season are cute, but nothing I can’t live without. And the thing that really put me off is that on top of the daily grind, I now have to go to the most stressful area of Wasteland to get my seasonal candles. Not worth it for me.

So, basically, I will love the new areas but I’m saving my season money and time for next season.

And also, I agree with @blazing sail , the seasonal pants are ugly. Sooooo ugly.

I’ve introduced a couple young family members to the game and I avoid wearing my flashy things around them so that they don’t want them (they are only 4 and 6 years old). The game is just as much fun. The emotes and tools are really the only things I’ve come to really care about. I like having the fireworks staff for dark places, the umbrella to help new players with. The instruments are fun sometimes and the table used to be fun but I care less and less about it.

Haha! It’s a challenge. I think I would get bored of the game way too fast if there were no challenging levels. I do agree that it’s unfair to put the seasonal candles in there though. A lot of people can’t do that level and if they’ve paid for the pass, it’s not right to force them to go to that area in order to complete the season

They should keep them in shipwreck. It’s still a little scary, but easier to deal with only the one krill circling

I can’t remember who it was but someone had a brilliant suggestion re emotes. For very basic greetings, such as wave and bow, to perform a gesture on screen with your finger, so like a quick side to side swipe to wave, and a side and down to bow. That sort of thing...

It was wasteland and forest for me, not necessarily because it was too hard, but because you had absolutely no control over any other players who happened to jump in and disrupt you. I can’t cope with that level of frustration. 😬😂

I have this "safe" route I always take through boneyard, but when I tried it today I got spotted from WAAAAAy away twice!

I can accept some level of fear and nerves in the game, but this was brutal

I feel I’m getting better and more confident in boneyard these days. I ran around solo and got all my candles this morning, only spotted once and was able hide.
