• you can use the same login regardless of platform, it's similar to live in that way
• HOWEVER, you need to apply for each platform separately, as you can only hold one slot for each one
  • so if you got in for android, you can use the same account if you got into ios later

The way old beta was conducted was honestly not the greatest, it never felt like it was used to its full potential by a good portion of beta testers, and felt like it was mostly being used as a way to flaunt upcoming items and not contributing with reports. Not trying to place blame on anybody btw, but just stating that it felt like it was never used properly.

TGC's decision to refresh Beta with a clean slate like this gives me hope for some improvement.

• Sky Beta is not a Alternative Free-for-all game, it’s a playground for testers to tester upcoming stuff and to gather feedback
• Sky Beta is a close-beta, meaning you cannot share any content outside the channel, aside from being removed from the channel, legal action will be taken if TGC found you leaking content.
• Players in the Chinese Server are allowed to test the beta version as long you have access to the internet outside (including access to Discord), have proficient in English and are willing to be active to test. Also you have to accept that you will get revoke once in a period so TGC can shuffle testers. If you want to join back, I suggest wait a while before doing so.

(Also unfortunately, you need to have a Live Account to send in your Live ID, meaning no CN ID (both your Sky ID (found in iOS settings) and your NetEase Game ID (can be seen at the login page))

Even if you played the Live version of the game on Android, you could still theoretically join the upcoming closed beta testing with that same account if you had an iOS device, since the live account itself isn't platform-bound. Your specific problem right now would be that if you don't have an iPhone or iPad, you won't actually be able to download and enter the upcoming closed beta since you can't actually run the game (they're not releasing Android versions of the closed beta this time around).

Edit: yes, it means there outright is not an Android version of the closed beta to download for this next round, so you can't beta test from an Android device.

• the intended gameplay of the live game is to collect wedges and gain capes, so vying for capeless goes against the core gameplay to begin with and isn't necessary tbh

This is something I would suggest you consider seriously if applying for the closed beta, whether you're happy disclosing that and entering into a legal contract for what would appear to be unpaid volunteer work.

the answer: it doesn't matter how much you're able to report or feedback, as long as you help when you're able. Ultimately if you can commit more time to do that it'll be nice but it's not a strict requirement.

imo the bug report system also needs an overhaul to save your device data because it is so tedious to make a bug report every time and have to look up the new build number and all that

ofc most if not every report should have the specifications requested such as OS and device version and whatnot, but telling what didn't work is arguably the most important part of a bug report

yeah that was my main concern when the announcement first got released (still is). some people suggested having pre-populated accounts, meaning the account you're assigned to already has progressed through some gameplay cause otherwise going through the isle -> eden + aviary revival for every rotation you're a tester in might be taxing

of course there's benefits to testing new player experience but not all players might like going through it repeatedly

I mean that as in absolutely no info other than "something didn't work". No info on hardware/system, no info of how you encountered the bug/what you did before or during, etc.
Cause TGC kinda needs that info to figure out what's happening. Taking the praygue as an example: "When I logged in my skykid kept on doing the reset animation and all candles I forge just dissapear" will help TGC more than "All candles I forge just dissapear"
