its more quiet for sure, i think majority of players have def closed the game by now. some had their closets and emotes deleted during this. still very interesting server merges can happen even after shutdown. stuff like spells, candle forging, etc dont work BUT you could risk it and change your look/props if you wanted. just that no one else will be able to see it (just hear if its an instrument)

edit: yeah someone def did fireworks in my server previously and i did end up hearing them, i just never looked in time to see them 😭

im a bit more confident, since i used to leave live open overnight while i listened to the treehouse rain to fall asleep, though this is beta so i do expect it to crash at some point, either by something getting deleted or by the game or phone just giving up

That would require extra programming for something that was never designed for the actual live game.

Probably also worth mentioning that the actual servers hosting beta may not go offline: they might be reusing these same ones for the closed beta starting in April. If that’s the case, they may just keep the servers online and prevent you from logging in again unless you have the new versions for the closed beta (assuming the session would eventually expire for current beta unless they have to manually terminate it).

For me when i opened my closet my items were reset back to moth stuff, i ran from there and then i opened my friend constellation and that too was gone. Then i opened my emotes and everything was blank and that caused my game to crash.

I think the big thing, is that there haven't been many resets or endings for the sky beta, not for how long sky has been running. It's a rare occurrence, that has allowed for the beta community to grow almost like a family.

But with these endings, a lot of good friendships are lost. Myself, I have yet to receive any messages from friends i had... it is saddening, to think I may never run into them in live. Because I don't even know who they are on discord

My guess is the servers save that sort of info to some extent, so when your client is asking the server “what do I have unlocked?” It doesn’t get a response back and assumes nothing.

For reference to everyone: The survey is not an NDA. Only selected testers will need to sign the NDA - full names are not needed in the application process I assume. For NDA’s it is uh.. very common to ask for that information.

We don’t know yet what information will be needed for TGC’s Closed Beta NDA, though.

The Creator Troupe and Sky Beta are separate programs; presumably Creator Troupe members who are accepted into the Beta program will not be able to create public beta content under the NDA.
