Unfortunately the pricing thing and item preview thing is in place to mitigate non-testers coming in and using this space as a preview space, which itself is a social space for testers to discuss the content we're testing. It's not that feedback on those things isn't also important from non-testers of course and it's hard to provide feedback when you don't see the prices, etc. but in that instance I'd just say try leaving feedback on how much you'd expect to pay for an item.

And again you can contact mod chat, they can bump concerns about heavy moderation of beta content to tgc staff, it might not guarantee anything changes but your opinions on the matter are valid!

It just annoys me that very understandable removal of price guides during nesting or just generally for seasons turned into a blanket ban on everything price related. I agree it would be hard to note on the currency type of the cosmetics for non testers in general even if we are aware of the actual cost, but we should be reminded that the prices aren't final instead of being moderated. Feedbacking on the pricing may help a lot for live players in general ^^

When they removed IAP pricing the advice we got about feedback on prices was just that though - you can always feedback on what you'd expect to pay for the item.

I do think this being the year after the initial EC system was placed it would be good to have discussions around the prices that EC items are returning for since they're still extortionate and therefore the EC system is only a temporary bandaid - if they removed igc pricing then we'd have literally no clarity on prices until they go live so that would be a poor decision imo. With IAP at least those seem to have a level of consistency, but igc pricing since it's just about playing the game there seems to be a lot more variety on what items are priced at.

When we focus on the pricing though, there's less feedback on the actual events and activities which is why IAP stuff was removed in the first place.

I don't wanna come into beta chats to discuss testing and see price discussions constantly, but I also do think there should be space for those to still happen, but it tends to take place more in live anyways.

I used to feedback on IAP pricing because I intend to spend my money on them, so do others, but over the last year or so we've had a great deal more consistency and I do feel like it's been brought about by the lengthy discussions and consistent feedback as well as tgc settling on more consistent price points for certain designs, packs, etc. so it has become less of an issue to focus on here and more beneficial for live feedback

But as for igc items, testers do still feedback on pricing even if you guys don't get to see it clearly, so I promise we do try there are around 10k of us, it's nowhere near live but we still do share a lot of our thoughts on these things which is why I think moderating pricing posts and guides is possible because they can still rely on what we feedback alongside non-testers just saying "oh hey I loke this design I hope its affordable of xyz"

Feedback on prices in beta is still valid - it remains useful information for TGC to know what players think of the new content, what makes them (not) buy / obtain a certain item and what their feelings are about prices in the current Sky economy.

The rule in this server where beta players are not allowed to make price guides (including showcasing all items with prices which are still actively being tested - sometimes very early on-) is there for a reason, too: nothing we see in beta can be considered final, everything is a work in progress and we simply do not know if the prices how they are currently seen in beta reflect what will happen in the live version.

Beta is for figuring things out first-hand, and it is not our role to explain to non-testers where and how items or currency are obtained. The beta player experience will shape your feedback in a way that will help build the live game too - experiencing things first-hand often helps gauging what adds to a better experience in-game. By making guides, this will impact the player experience because TGC will not receive first-hand data (meaning: individual and personal feedback is essential).

TLDR: Discussion about prices is allowed, and encouraged, but there is a difference between “sharing price guides” and “talking about the cost how it’s currently seen in beta”.

I agree with May about the ultimate gifts. I'd like to add that the fact that some cosmetics are no longer available reinforces the toxicity in the player who has the ultimate gifts. In my experience, I've only been playing for 1 year and I've met a lot of players who had fun changing outfits with ultimate gifts of the season that I didn't participate in. Many have fun making other players envious. I'm not talking about the players who normally wear the ultimate gifts because they like cosmetics. I talk about what changes in front of you and they insist that we watch them change their outfits. It's very frustrating.

So after some experimenting with Wren and Bloo we have discovered the new discord emojis that Sky has defaulted do not have versions of certain emojis, for example the pink, light blue, and grey hearts aren’t recognised, nor are jellyfish, goose, and probably any other newer emojis.

But not only that, the emojis now recognise gendered versions but not in the expected way of showing a different emoji icon, no, it will now present you with the standard neutral discord variant and slap a ♂️♀️in the chat

This works with the more recent additions to the iOS roster, things like Santa, judge, etc. don’t show up like that.

So have fun testing emojis and make sure you feedback and bug report any missing or unexpected appearances!

as far as i know the meditation room never opened back up post anniversary even with the wireframe cape. Only the galleries and skyfest cinema are mentioned to be accessible via the cape in the news post. So i think its safe to say its not a bug.

It's a little quirk of the "skip all cutscenes": you need to watch all cutscenes first like a moth before being able to skip them (after that, it should start automatically skipping them)

It does seem to be sky fest specific, so it will most likely need the cape after sky fest ends. Sky fest is currently not available in beta though, so it seems you won't be able to see it at all there.
