I’m confused about rotations, I noticed 3 different rotations per phase which I indentify as
1: no creature and spirits up on the waterfall, shards over the waterfall
2: creature in the middle and spirits up on the closed waterfall, shard in the middle
3: creature, spirits and shards in the middle area

But now I’m finding rotation of the phase 2 into the third one and yesterday while spirits were in phase 2, rotation from phase 3 @…@

That happened to me but I forgot fully what happened. I think I clicked I am a new player or the local account button. Then when I used the sign in with Game Center login, it worked. In most cases, your beta must be from an official invite link from this server for it to work too.

There is no way for you to remove the hacked gift IAPs you accepted. I suppose you could reach out to support and ask, but I don't know if they'll help, since I haven't heard of anyone having success with that.

In the future, it's best to be wary of accepting suspicious IAP gifts from people you don't know very well

the trench was really deep and sort of combined with the abyss area, like there were underwater structures and krill would patrol the trench and you would have to hide in the structures

I would try to save my quests to test the aviary spirits but constantly accidentally return them at home shrine. But when a spirit was doing something weird half the time it was the candle maker I wish the spirits had a different set of quests to give people something new and more reason to enter aviary instead of removing certain things from home space.

Burn 10 darkness (red cape spirit)
The forge candle spirit has acted weird before (leaving when I forge a candle nearby instead of when I bring them a quest, or refusing to leave when the quest is given)

I realised the movement has been tweaked with again. Try jumping in a straight line, top speed is quite slow maybe to account for momentum and having more control on turning. Mid-air control also has returned, you can instantly turn left to right in glide mode and the camera gets a little janky lol

Morning/Afternoon/Evening! Just a quick note until I'm able to get a full updates post out—
The Sanctuary Vortex quest schedule for beta is for testing purposes only to make sure there are no bugs that would make the vortex quest hard or impossible to complete, on a variety of devices.

For live, the current intent is that it will only be on days with quests in Prairie. I can't give a specific number for how many days that will be, but definitely not every day, and not expecting it to be even 1/3 of all the days in the event.

It will definitely be low frequency. Design-wise, one of the considerations was that leaving last year's event out completely would be out of place, so the goal is to balance inclusion of various parts that this event has had over the years and still keep the main focus on Prairie Peaks.

I kinda wish there was some way to shake yourself loose from the creature a bit faster, after the first couple times getting grabbed it's boring to just hang there for 20 seconds doing absolutely nothing while it decides whether to drop you or not. Emoting to break free a little quicker would keep things active and interesting

I warped there with my cape as the worm slug was killing me, then when I arrived, there was a jellyfish nearby. The jellyfish recharged my light and caused the jellyfish whisperer quest spirit to arrive. They are testing a new way of doing daily quests where a spirit goes to the place you completed the quest and you can get your candle from there.

the closet dresser (image 1) is a not-good-looking giant rectangle which makes me never want to place or carry it, even though it is incredibly useful. It breaks the sky aesthetic, while closets around the realms (including coliseum closets that are just banners) preserve the whimsy.
The special thing about sky closets is you have to run between the different places to dress in different parts. Condensing that into a single step reduces the magic while adding more complicated and precise movements in order to dress. If taking away the running around aspect, you need to streamline the entire process (which would be a huge blessing)
Would be much more elegant if it was a series of stickers, much like the sticker props from season of prophecy except functional. Glowing stickers are elegant, pretty, and very very sky-like. They match the murals all over the world and they are pretty to use, see, and wear.

my favorite of these proposals is the all-in-one sticker. It is elegant, compact, easy to use, doesn't detract from the environment, and looks good with any outfit. It requires coding in another tab system into the closets, instead of using the "walk from one closet to the next" that the dresser has.
I insist it will be worth it, though. It's a much better choice than the dresser.

If you are indeed unable to log in due to the bug, you account will be normal after the fix. Many Live players thought Meditation quests were being overhauled, broken, or removed entirely. I believe Meditation quests had not appeared in Live rotation for over 80 days. Live and Beta quests are typically synced, so I was wondering if you have it too.

It is always interesting to see the early versions of games. People tend to think the early concepts end up being better than what's in the current standard of current versions of the game. It's been a thing for God knows how long, and some games have interesting concepts, art, lore, mechanics, anything that never made it or was changed in the end is always deemed fascinating by any of its community of said game.

As someone who potentially wants to go into that field as well, I want to make such a concepts in my own game (if I ever decide to start coding and figuring out how it works...) but that's another story.

As far as the lighting—I’d need to spend time going through ShiraCheshire’s beta screenshots albums (pinned in #lore-discussion-spoilers). My first thought is that the lighting is sort of an ebb and flow, but (IMO) improved now, and that it had to change considering the environments added to live that pre-release never had (underwater, e.g.).

I also imagine that figuring out the lighting when it was iOS exclusive was very different than once lighting had to account for all the platforms that have been added since

I think the friendship cape mechanic is cool in theory, but if I remember rightfully from reading ye olde fossil's recounts, they caused a lot of graphics issues and I think depending on how you like certain patterns it wouldn't be so great if you progressed to a pattern further that you didn't like so much as a previous pattern - BUT I wasn't there personally

I know Journey has a similar thing of completing the game x amount of times (5 iirc) that you gain new patterns on your capes though!

I’m going to have to disagree on that, @unborn root. There were no events. You couldn’t relive spirits at all. There were no seasonal quests, so all you did was collect the new emotes once and then never see the spirits again. No traveling spirits. No props for games or anything. We had to use hearts to get seasonal stuff. No cool seasonal stories or anything.

Oh and the unmitigated misery of losing emotes and emote upgrades instead of Winged Light.

Even capes like the passage ult can decimate certain FPS of specific devices, so it's probably more a tactical thing to not bring back an outdated concept like that for now and focus on other designs to allow for more creativity and less just remaking old sky things for the sake of it

Thoughts for beta feedback on the player nests so far, feels too quiet imo

It would be amazing if we could have some music items for the player nests, maybe a few choices of our favourite realms, I know "waltzing in the rain" as their "nest" theme would be popular, and I would really love the "dreams carnival" music which is played in the Nesting workshop in Aviary, maybe as a single selectable item as you're editing your nest space to choose what plays as you chill with friends in your nest, as the silence in there feels a bit overwhelming.

I've wanted a BGM changer like the one we have in the wind paths for ages! It would be neat if as we progressed through the realms, various tracks would unlock for us to use in our homes.

iirc on the island where tinkering chimesmiths spirit memory ends there is a flight symbol that when you approach it it gives you a prompt and clicking that prompt it changes the background music in the area

okay red shards were updated to have the new disc type plant to pick up but like
I don't think it counts towards shard completion because I've removed all plants and the thing hasn't allowed me to move to phase 2

I don't think the lilypads are meant to be here, they're supposed to float up in the water, in these normal shards picking them up just makes them fall under the map

Last forest end shard also has those. Maybe it's the forest shards that are affected?

Well the aviary rock is the recent patch. The patch notes rock is based on a rock that was removed in isle, so it doesn't actually exist

I finally moved my home to Aviary for this season and with all the crashing I’m doing…man. It’s a pain to be spawning at the town square area after every crash.
