I left feedback just now but what do people think of the comment toggle? When it eventually works I think it might turn off all comments, but I think I'd be open to having a couple of toggles that we can use to either turn everything off or only strangers - sometimes it would still be nice to see comments from friends

Okay so from what I've found:

• the UI shows comment total as 0 even when there's comments
• toggling off doesn't stop people from being able to comment
• toggling off doesn't save across different sessions (restarting app reverts toggle to on)
• we no longer have to like a share spell before being able to comment
• toggling comments off hides the button for creator, toggling it back on shows the button again

As a Chinese living outside of China, i have not heard of the Nine colored deer tale before. It could be native to a specific China province.

In Japan, the tale of the nine-colored deer can be found in Konjaku Monogatarishū (Anthology of Tales from the Past), which was created in the late Heian period (794-1185 AD). It is also found in the Uji Shūi Monogatari, which was created in the early Kamakura period (1212-1221 AD).
Both Konjaku and Uji Shūi are well-known Japanese tale collections, but the tale of the nine-colored deer included in them is not famous.
I also learned about the tale of the nine-colored deer after doing a lot of research in response to this collaboration.

Just a comment on the changes to the Fortune scarf: This was a tricky design to balance, because while we did like having it higher up on the neck/face, it also created some pretty significant clipping issues with a number of masks that had any kind of shape to them—issues which don't happen when avatars are maskless or wearing masks that are shaped similarly to the default mask.

personally for me that dropped the cape from "will probably buy" to "will probably skip" because I don't care for animal masks much, and also not every item fits with all other items anyway. It's sad if we can't get a mouth covering cape ever just because those masks exist.

Question I have 2 beta accounts: one on a phone and one on an iPad in order to try bugs that involve 2 players. However I had to remove beta on my phone and when I added it again, the less used account has somehow linked to my Game Center and is on both devices, can I get the other back?

As I understand it linking with game center only can become iffy, I'm not sure if there'll be a way to restore your alt account if it was linked to your game center but now your main account is showing as though it's linked

If your phone (iphone?) is linked to the same Apple ID as the Apple ID you use for Game Center on the ipad, you can go into the settings for your iphone's Game Center and switch the ID you use for the Game Center back to the one you had initially been using for beta on your iphone.

—Assuming that the beta account you want had been linked to the Game Center account for that particular Apple ID

@cinder chasm if you ever made a backup of your iphone, you can restore it and it should bring back the old/lost account. Drawback is that it will also restore older versions of apps and of your music and photo libraries, so save your music pictures somewhere else if you need to before trying to restore the backup

On my end, I haven't even experienced the crashing on load issue on my S22 in the more recent build updates at all (even when it has gone through Andriod 13 and now at current 14)... so I've honestly been wracking my brains trying to figure out what could be different in my situation vs. everyone else's that have the crash loop issue.

Could it be something related to whatever phone service providers did to phones prior to us purchasing them? Or does it matter if it's regular/plus/ultra versions? Storage/memory available on the physical phone itself? It could be something either really obvious or really obscure...

Either way, it seems like such a headache to be forcefully sat out thanks to the tech problems. I really do hope it gets fixed for everyone affected soon enough.

If you’re on iOS, you need to install TestFlight too, but the beta only opens up sporadically so at the moment it’s not possible to get in!

It's not going to be forgotten especially considering it's a collab season, they just haven't finished adding everything in yet. Seasonal areas evolve over time with the completion of quests so the new area is going to keep evolving as they add the rest in.

Its a bug I guess. {{1}} is used to show something in a message. For example, when you sending light in collaboration, the original message is somehow like "sent a light to {{1}}", and the game replace {{1}} by your friend's name.

However, (I guess) this time the game failed to get what should be shown, so it just shows the original message.

If you wanna find something similar, the "water.fall.accident.death" in Minecraft is an example (I guess)

I switched android phones recently, and it was very easy to transfer the app to my new phone and log in like normal with my google account.
Had no issues setting up or playing beta after the transfer.

Hmmm - if you get “game data is corrupt” and you tried the clearing cache and data steps from the #beta-faq, and tried re-installing the game (deleting & downloading), I’m afraid there isn’t really a fix we can give you.

I would suggest trying the steps again, and if those don’t work, wait for an update!

(At least for my device) You have to manully touch the "save" icon in the system menu, which pops up after you ends the video

I’m not sure about the gardener pants, I got them last year after they fixed the bug, but I think if you tried unlocking them last year when they were still bugged they won’t appear this year

The downsides of native screen recording:

You can't change the resolution
Being capped at 30 fps and not being able to change the fps either
It doesn't automatically save to storage, you'll need to do this manually by downloading a File manager
And the recording quality is very low

I believe that as it's still in development, it will still be improved, but that some of the negative points I've mentioned will be corrected/improved.

alright I am here with my eden findings:

• the crawling mechanic has largely disappeared and it's back to the way it used to be (mostly) and you only start crawling at 5 WL
• HOWEVER, the nonstop losing of WL is back so there's that
• once you lose all light, you can actually keep run walking like before the shattering update, but as you get closer to the eye you will pretty much nonstop fall over get up fall over get up it's very annoying. Not as annoying as before because the get up animation is slow but annoying in that once you get up you'll just get knocked back down again and you can barely even move or progress

and that's on top of like, the big burst of red rock shrapnel hitting your skid so you can barely see anything anyway

I think they should reduce the rocks a little bit. I had 150+ wings and I only just made it to the sand barely. I couldn't get the last 3 statues. I did like being able to run more and hobble etc rather than crawl but then I think the rocks need to be a tiny bit less until the sand dunes

I had 180 going into PNR and lemme tell you, it was WILD at the last statue
nonstop fall get up fall get up while being blasted by rocks and I'm like my god JUST LET ME GET CLOSER and I got the 63rd statue with my very last WL which I wasn't sure was gonna just fall out of my skid right then and there since I just saw the WL count drop to 1

like at that point I was getting absolutely blasted WL constantly flying out everywhere couldn't see, can barely tell if my skid stood back up because once I got up I'd just get knocked back down anyway so I was like hell what is this lol
(I just sent the feedback on that)
