Nope, you’re just a moth like in Live. You need to go through all realms, collect candles, spirits too! All the same. The difference is IAPs are free in beta, and literally everything new is WIP

We can’t really reset our progress I think? Currency resets happen if there’s a Big Bug™️, account / cosmetic resets I don’t know, it’s explained in #beta-faq though! It can happen

Beta and Live are two completely seperate apps, and progress doesn’t transfer!

You can have both a beta account and a live account, without interference at all!

I’m pretty sure the majority if not all beta players, play the live game too

In the beta faq, you can get yourself the beta invites role (you’ve got that one!).

Beta spots only open sporadically, there’s no real set day when they open up. The good thing is, if invites get sent out, you will be pinged / notified through discord!

If you’re on iOS, you need to have the TestFlight app installed and if you’re on android, you can just click the link they’ll send out once invites open up

im more upset with the lack of transparency, we havent been told anything about why the highly anticipated vampire cape was removed alongside the crab capes change to look so much duller than before. Its honestly super dissapointing seeing changes like these appear out of nowhere

The outside part of the cape became just grey unlike before - fully dark grey

Thing is, the issue I have with the cape is that it just looks plain, the grey doesn't look that good, there were so many great redesigns with the same grey that the community designed, it's a shame they aren't using them as inspiration for their capes other than just making them look plain like that
It was plain before as well but it was a first time full dark grey colour, there was time to make it work and look nice but all that was changed was the color to much lighter grey and thats it

“PC Beta” is to test the pc port / Steam. It’s not really for content, but only for gameplay mechanics and reporting aaaall the bugs and feedback to make the launch go smooth in Live.

Its “regular content” yes, they’re in the same servers as other testers (no light awaits, haha that’s been gone for a good while)

Oh my god that would look amazing, I watched a movie with the concept of it just recently with my partner !! It would also be a good way to let people know that there is an actual sky memorial in the starlight desert - specifically, windy dunes !! People would visit that area more because they'd know it exists as well ! Yeah I find it weird that the crab cosmetics never really matched each other, the cape pants and boots, so naturally I think we saw a lot of people make edits to the cape to match the pants but now it feels like it was never made to match the pants

No option to remap the keys? I'm regular Beta, not PC, so I haven't seen it yet. But I know a lot of games give the option to remap keys, to make them what you want.
So like, if you want O,J,K,L instead of W,A,S,D you can do that. If that's not available, maybe put that in Feedback, so people can assign whatever is most comfortable for them.

This is the crab cape.. The crabs are GREY, not beige… also it should match with the new “crab” dress of the event and the skirt is gray not beige. A light beige cape is good for another occasion, not this one. 🥲
Also, there is no gray cape with a "basic" design, and it would be much nicer.

I don't hate the new capes, but it would have been nicer for them to do re-imaginings of items people who missed passed seasons would never be able to obtain if they were not around for that season. As of right now only the abyss-like cape does that this season. The rest of the capes are redos of capes that can return as TS.

I sent feedback regarding this this since the beginning but I think we are too late in this testing cycle for anything super major to change.

The capes are the yellow circles make sure they are yellow in the spirit tree

Only 1 tree sells capes and they only sell 2 of the capes, the spirit trees are bugged in that they do not accurately sell what they advertise and some cosmetics are just straight up not available.

In the #beta-faq you can get yourself the “beta invites”-role. If you have that role, you will be pinged whenever a new invite wave happens!

If you’re on iOS, you need to install TestFlight too, but the beta only opens up sporadically so at the moment it’s not possible to get in!

It is a good reason because it's something that does not affect live at all. If the same happened in live, then yes they'd fix it. But a ts disappearing in beta is not something that will ever affect live, so it doesn't need to be fixed. TS are a luxury in beta, not a necessity

I understand wanting ts items in beta, but its not something that you need. Beta progress can be wiped at any time, so collecting TS stuff is best to be done only in live

Beta TS schedules always differ from the Live version and TS aren’t a priority in beta, as they usually don’t need to be tested.

If a TS doesn’t come, that’s just beta being beta! All in beta is WAFO, so in this case we also need to WAFO a bit more

We’re getting TS in beta but only as a ‘luxury’ and not as something to test - the beta also isn’t for collecting cosmetics so unless they send out a TS group they want feedback on (like during SoMoments), it’s just not a priority. Sagomay explained it better though!

Beta players are testers, we test new content and features and we’re meant to give feedback on those things. If, for example, they remove TS from beta altogether even then it wouldn’t affect the purpose of beta!

In short: beta isn’t the same as Live and can’t be regarded as a “second Sky”. It’s only purpose is to test what’s in #beta-announcements, whether it’s a new season, event, new gameplay feature and so on.

The aurora situation has been heavily discussed here too, but here I also want to mention that stating it’s a “limited item and there are no plans for it to return in the near future” is something that’s related to those contracted IP’s.

Bringing the Aurora IAPs back was only possible because another opportunity arose, because a new deal was closed, because a new objective was discussed.
What’s discussed between those parties is something that we will never know, contracted IP’s are complex! We can only hope that other opportunities will arise to bring other things back, as Sky is generally all for inclusivity.

Reminder that beta never used to get TS but they were brought in per tester requests - we don't need to actively test anything about travelling spirits unless told otherwise and a TS not appearing when 'scheduled' isn't a big issue and won't affect the live game in any way. It can be frustrating if you're wanting to collect items on beta, but please note that isn't the priority of beta and our focus should be primarily on new content, items, etc.

Minecraft Java has had access to the nether roof for almost the entire lifespan of the game, and it’s considered a bug, but they haven’t removed it (and won’t add it to bedrock at that ) so yeah, bugs can become features if they are widely loved by the community, and have non-harmful uses.

My tablet doesnt have the latest snapdragon but I do get low resolution in graphics in high def. I noticed this from when playing in phone or playing the game in dex mode multiwindow. the graphics tho got fixed in 0.22.5 build but the new build got it back to its old self

Bingo. The main purpose of having the two chats is to make it easier to have two busy conversations at once. Season testing isn't busy right now, so all the beta chat—events, Season of Revival and other beta season stuff, general beta questions, favorite beta bugs, etc.—will fit in one channel again. It's easier for both staff and mods to keep an eye on.

Some cosmetics don’t seem to be in the trees, so it’s probably a bug!

I got the capes, but the trees show up blank for now (the seasonal hearts also disappeared, so probably a bug)

If you only see the same memory every time then you didn't complete the shattering quests

I think it's just implied the cape was removed due to beta-being-beta updates meaning buggy and glitchy. Not intentional for it to go away.

Buying them early helps them out just in case of issues or something of that sort- missing out on something on beta is fine 🤔

It's good to have a portion of beta testers to obtain things earlier and another portion later so that we can squash bugs more thoroughly and observe before and afters to see if anything regarding the collecting of items is working as intended, is improved or fixed from the start and in the final stages of testing

Same goes for things like season quests, to see how they have been improved especially since some quests cannot be repeated and the way they work after a season is finished is slightly different

as for your boats and candles, you need 3 likes on them for them to be visible to people you don't have chat unlocked with

@fickle violet Regarding your question. Beta starts the same as live, in that you still have to play and get cosmetics as the seasons progress. For the purpose of testing iap cosmetics are free so everyone can give feedback on them before they get sent to live. Sorry for paragraph and I hope this helped.

Android here, whenever I try to place any sort of user made content I will get an error saying the server is experiencing issues, and then once I close it a message will pop up saying my thing was blocked for breaking community guidelines, and then the error message will pop up again. This repeats until I restart the app. Stuck on repository quest because of it lol.

Havent gotten to it yet. At first I thought the server was just having issues because it said so, but I dont think it is now. I'm not sure how beta here works but for other games I play they dont want bugs posted that have already been posted by somebody else so I wanted to scroll through the recent reports (which I just did) now I need to reproduce the error while recording which is really hard to do for some reason. Video often corrupts when I try to save it. So it can take a bit.
