curious for the guide at the start of the season area (Aviary). Would it make more sense to use a skykid statue for the guide instead of a full sized ancestor statue?

I know that model for husk statues are the standard for releaseing ancestor spirits. Although it would be cool if these husks could have varieties that resemble their respective spirit.
Especially when considering the variety of ancestor spirit bodies (big, small, tall, short etc.)

It's always 100% valid to feel disappointment or betrayal when a design you like ends up being taken by someone else, even if they happened to make it separately to you and they are coincidentally similar
it's a special feeling you have when you create a design from scratch, it's not nice to invalidate other people's feelings when they feel their designs were stolen. We've seen enough of that in recent years with digital art >.>

Please look at this objectively with nuance.

The bottom line is, TGC tends to try and be careful to do their own thing if taking fan ideas, but sometimes there are inevitably overlaps and it's good to look at it from a bigger picture of that the reference/influence pool for fashion is quite big for the similarities to be so strong.

I think the biggest thing to remember with this is complete and true originality is pretty difficult to achieve. There's always going to be people with similar ideas, and people who get inspired from similar, or even the same sources. It doesn't mean it's been copied. A big red bow, for example, is a very common item seen in many different stories, games, movies, etc. So it's not unlikely that the artist, and tgc just had a similar idea

if you are successful at downloading, you should know that you always start off beta as a moth with nothing; it's not the same account as live so you're going to have to go thru the realms, collect spirits, etc.

If there was “nothing” meaning no realms opened, that’s normal. I highly suggest giving #beta-faq a very thorough read - you start off as a fresh moth, your live and beta account don’t cross over. All is new!

but the global port for android sucks compared to the chinese version which even has native screen recording.

Skidmore can't be rescued, but you can squeeze into the jail with them! They're the NPC that offers items for Mischief tickets.

It's not happen on my iPad, but it is happen Live app on my mac. every time I start the mac, I get a notification that the Sky app has crashed, which I haven't touched. In my case, that notification stops when I successfully start & quit the Live app. Hope this info helps you.

if you mean the items that cost candles/hearts, then yes they are obtainable normally for everyone if you talk to the guide imprisoned in the crab cave
if you mean past IAP, they are not obtainable except for the cat pack from 2022 in the regular shop menu

Exclusive is always a hot topic in sky, you can see that clear with the new season capes, people don't like how it look too much like old seasons or "decrease the old capes value" like someone had told me. Even the Creator Troupe feature in concert have been called "classism".

The creator troupe is imo a great idea in that it gives the community a way to communicate with larger groups of people through a leader but I see how people may feel about it being exclusive but it's not like the feature exists outside the concert area(I'm not sure if it works in other festival tech areas but even if it does my point still stands)

The statue cat used to screech and puff up like an angry cat, now it doesn’t screech and instead licks its paw so I assume it’s intentional. And I’ve only seen the actual cat just sitting menacingly amongst the crows and crabs during that cutscene

I think it’s because we’re in phase 2 now. The cutscene of Skidmore being kidnapped happened on phase 1, but I also had it happen that there were no spells & the krill cat didn’t curse.
