there has never been any official mention whatsoever of completing TS = making old ults attainable.
The only indication of any returning ult have been the reworked versions such as performance noot hair reflecting rhythm hoot hair
presented in the same form the rhythm one first came in - a new season ult that you have to earn in the same way.

I don't think we'll get old ults again, but this new TS system is definitely a huge change even if we don't get the old ults. I'm just hoping we'd get a candle system change soon to accomodate this new TS system because it's gonna require a LOT more candles than before (depending on what kind of spender you are)

I don't think the candle attainment system will change based on the blog post, but other systemic changes to how the items are obtainable ingame are a good step forward
As I mentioned earlier, it is confirmed that the batch spirits aren't just taken out of the current TS pool so they will come back individually later even if you missed the stuff

my concern is twofold

1. From the perspective of a veteran player suddenly a lot of their cosmetics lose their exclusive status, I’m sure there’s gonna be much complaints about this happening to a whole season at once.
2. From the perspective of players that joined after the respective season, suddenly seeing multiple new spirits visiting likely only increases the stress levels, until the greatly reduced waiting period for specific spirits this change brings sinks into the collective mindset of Sky’s community.

Tbf, the group would allow more frequent returns so even if items are missed, they'll likely come back faster anyways. From what I heard, the groups also wouldn't take the spirits out of the ts pool - so getting a spirit in a group one week then as a traveller the next isn't impossible

there will be people noting down how much each node costs so rather than it being a total mystery for how much stuff costs when it first comes individually, people will be prepared for when the individual TS comes back in the future by themselves

Maybe at least a few months in between each mass visit. Because within that one month we get 2-3 individual TS visit, so a mass visit with an interval of at least 2 months would be good I think (thats just an estimate tho)

It would take away a lot stress of saving for events vs travellers vs main constellations imo. We wouldn't have scenarios like DoR2022 where you could spend over 500 candles to get both the traveller items and event items.
It would make the event items feel more attainable within the timeframe of the events alongside ts. Not sure how they would implement it, but definitely seems like a positive change

Seems like they might be making these changes and doing tests in order to sort of avoid a change in the system? Though it might be nice to be able to get 2-3 extra candles a day. At least with these changes/ideas, they're sorta working on balancing out the spending on ts vs constellations vs events so that the candle system in its current state does feel more fair

The reason you had to pay for a pass is to get A, the ults (which Whirrhun confirmed won’t b coming back) and B, to get all the items ahead of time and to wear them ahead of time. Even with the old ts system, all players will get all items anyway so… same result but this new ts thing just speeds it up

They removed the afk wax because too many people were idling by those spots, and feedback from players looking to socialise was that they ended up feeling more isolated when hanging in those areas since the other avatars in the area aren't actually there to interact with. The cakes, I'm not sure if a statement was made on, but it leaves some wax to be collected without removing the wax pool entirely (even if the overall total obtainable is decreased)

I found it interesting that they mentioned they are trying to reduce the stress we have to collect ALL items from a spirit when it visits (because we are all used to the scarsity of that particular spirit returning being an unknown 1-3 years to be able to buy the things we passed on) , so maybe if we know that spirit /season will be returning this time next year, we won't feel as stressed about it and prioritize the items we want the most from that season

Any game with igc is going to make you work to get the items. Actually tgc’s seasons are incredibly easy and you obtain very nice free items. Game devs move forward with new items. Allowing players to obtain past free items is a favor. Any game I played this resulted in you working even harder and to make tough decisions. Its not a game dev’s responsibility to make sure everyone has everything. Its not possible and the longer this game goes on the more this becomes impossible for new players. Hence the tough decisions. BUT, increasing the ts pool showing up does allow for newer players and players who missed seasons the chance to have these spirits reappear sooner so the can pick and choose what items they most want. Availability will actually help mitigate some pressure players feel.

Well the point I think is that you won't be able to buy everything but the spirits will return soon, most likely again in the span of a year so you can buy the items you couldnt before and repeat until you get all, i think it reduces greatly the pressure of not missing out and to buy everything since well, you can't, and fixes the 2-year wait for a single spirit. But yes, I do hope they make the cosmetics a little less expensive

I've honestly given up when it comes to hearts. It used to be a pain to light up everyone, especially since there were many that I couldn't see, but now many of my sky friends don't play anymore. So I get less lights for the hearts. I wish there was a heart shard event. It would help with this lol

If that doesn't work, the. Just fly behind the Nature Guide once you teleport to them. Not towards Sanctuary island, but to the sea. After a moment or two you'll see some black rocks. Go there and that's the vortex.

180 candle cape ughhh I appreciate what tgc is saying in their update post but they are increasingly catering to a subset of players that grind til grey every day, I don’t think anyone is primarily on sky to collect things and is going to get bored if any candle is unspent! If it’s supposed to be a social game I wish they’d stop making things unaffordable it feels like everyone needs to candle run rather than being able to choose to just chill.

Only, It always feels like a bad precedent to set especially when I remember last few years it was more predictable what prices would be. It now feels like they fixed candles to make them easier to achieve but then hiked the prices anyway so chevrons aren’t helping that much anymore. *In effect the cost to casual players who don’t candle run regularly is higher because more regular players are getting more candles and prices have gone up to accommodate this.

I agree with you exactly there, they are pushing the idea of not having to buy everything at once from every spirit and instead going for what they would like to have and then buying the rest at a later time. The "cosmetic collector" mindset is a thing created by the players anyway, tgc doesn't encourage it, so if someone chooses to play the game that way its their own decision.

So my comment was mainly jokey, but to be honest the entire issue with the ts system which has been highlighted countless times is the whole "you can get it later" rhetoric only really feels comforting in regards to event items that are annual - if folks wait to get ts items they could wait up to two whole years before that spirit returns (if that based on the current system without these new trials tgc are gonna be implementing) so whilst yes it's based on player decision to get items, tgc have inadvertently perpetuated the fomo culture within the community from an outdated system and they're trying to rectify it, but it's gonna take time and this particular event isn't gonna fix it overnight.

I for one would like to collect 3 of the spirits because they'll likely be taken out of the regular TS pool or take longer to return so during the event I could spend between 400-600 candles depending on how expensive they'll be PLUS whatever TS returns in that time too and it's easy to say "just don't buy all the things" but that's putting all the focus on the playerbase, which if we had done that all this time we wouldn't be getting any changes to the system

Random trick i wanna mention in the chat, which is how to keep sunglasses/goggle effects without wearing the mask. All you gotta do is use a spell for the mask you want (which means it's limited to the goggles and blue sunglasses), enable the effect, and then end the spell while the effect is on. Keep in mind though that if you change your mask after the effect is active, it'll end the effect, so make sure you have on the mask you want beforehand, anyways yea just wanted to share that lol

As we see no records of your message in our logs and it hasn't hit any of our filters, this is most likely just a Discord bug. I'm not sure what exactly triggers it, but it usually happens with very long messages— even mods sometimes get that warning when we submit feedback, and we're immune to our usual filters

For anyone encountering this I suggest reaching out to us in #contact-the-mods first so we may verify if it's not hitting one of our filters so we can best help you. But once we confirm that isn't the case, the advice we have is to try editing parts of your message or send it separately in the channel. It's not ideal, but it usually works

And as a side-note, please don't send your feedback as a screenshot even if you are hit with the filters, rightfully or otherwise. It can be pretty straining on staff to read and process feedback text sent as images (and in the event it is used to bypass our filters, we will intervene accordingly)

Regarding the new season of rainforest quests.

I think The mask moves too fast, garbage? cannot be recovered. If he tries to force it, he will be thrown out of the circle.

Regarding the revision, I think it would be nice if the players could adjust the movement time of the mask.
When everyone sends telekinesis toward the mask, it stops the movement of the mask or slows it down.

That way, we can divide into a team to collect garbage and a team to stop the mask and play cooperatively 🤝🤔

Since there are many Sky Kids in the Audience Quest, it seems like it would be fun to split up the roles.

a friend and I played around with the krill distraction feature and it seems to be (somewhat) working on this build, though you have to deep call quite close to the krill to make it confused. unlike what I thought it won't target the distracting person instead, rather it will swivel its head and sort of continue on with its business I'll try to post some videos of it as well

other interesting thingies:

• orbit has been made brighter (🫠 ) though I think it might already be in live
• if you wear any sunglasses/goggles while being reborn, the credits will also have the filter effect on them
• sunset does not extend to the vortex, if you are there during sunset it will still have daylight as normal sanctuary (yes, tested with the updated timing)
• the isle boogie wl indicator is now switched with the first boat wl rather than the right side cave one on map shrines
• the progression of yeti's memory sequence has changed, we had to go to the other spirits yeti is spying on at first (the leaping spirit's bell looks like a bazooka 💀)
• every medi spot circle now yoinks your camera, making it almost impossible to navigate village theatre inside lol

I also wasn’t sure how to start the clean-up in the Vortex because it kinda just went: CLEAN IT UP and didn’t specify when you were done, I only knew I was done when Anxious Angler showed up and they didn’t do anything.

I couldn't find the chonky friend for a while, they just didn't appear - asked around in here to find out what was supposed to trigger the event and with the second build I finally managed to see the chonky friend, but they weren't particularly obvious if I hadn't already asked I would have been confused. Could probably do with maybe some clearer signage like more dark plants or debris leading to them from the guide maybe

It's annoying to have to interact with the seal and wait through a cutscene and then interact with it again to start the quest. For the first time it makes sense but it's just unnecessary afterwards. Also the vortex is too far away, it should be moved in closer. Remove the title cutscene as well, that's annoying.

Also I embarrassingly spent 5 minutes thinking the quest was to RIDE the vortex

there's not really anything nature-y about the area around where the quest giver is, just chairs and they are where the turtle already occurs; nothing to really lead you over to chonk who's not visible when you spawn in. When you do find him and free him, he takes off kinda fast and if you miss where he goes you won't see where to go

Honestly with the vortex being so out of the way of the normal run tracks for candle running it goes completely missed like how the polluted geyser did at first many people didn’t recognize it at first due to it blending in to the map a little bit too well haha not that that’s a bad thing but it’s similar could we maybe get some flying debris above the water where the vortex is like a shard event but just ya know plastic and stuff? It would help give a more landmark identifier and people would be like Oi what’s that garbage over there flying around XD

I'd also say it's kinda confusing that it's dark plants trapping chonky friend on land when the rest of the event is about ocean waste/debris

I think what's also weird is that freeing the manatee don't count towards the quest completion so you can just leave them trapped for eternity and be on your way lol
It's also a little jarring that if you manage to fly in faster than the big text shows up, after it fades it teleports you backward into a specific spot

I just didn't see Mr. Chonk on the first couple tries because he's not visible right where the guide is and there's nothing leading over to him. Btw trying to pick up the garbage in the vortex is a bit awkward; sometimes my sky kid fails to follow through when I hit the prompt because they're trying to find a good spot by it and it drifts away. ^_^;

I DID see the usual blue stars indicating things to be picked up but they were so darn tiny on my screen it wasn't even noticeable tbh

Since I didn't activate daily quest, that cute chonk fren doesn't appear. And when I activate the quest from dailies, it appears also. And what I think it is that great vortex waste is far away and I thought it's near from any shores. Of course like can't see some smol creatures that needs a lil lighting so Skykids see through for easy rescue, eh.

Underwater content doesn't contribute to quest completion so it's like why pan the camera under there anyway

The vortex is in a weird spot to be honest, like really far off anything, I would have expected it in front of the islands if anything or at least closer than it currently is - even with chonky friend leading us there it's hard to spot until you're slapped with the big text

Didn't have any issues with finding the quest/figuring out what to do (big surprise tbh), but actually completing the quest itself is VERY janky. The constant movement makes it difficult to pick up the trash. Freeing the manatees is also a bit odd too for a couple reasons;;

• freeing them does not count towards the quest
• clicking the button automatically plays the animation that releases them, it doesn't wait for you to actually release them from the net (as in, the animation when you pick something up/open a 4p door plays after the manatee is freed)

There's a funny water spout thing next to the swirling debris so it looks like there's two things going on at once

OH and when I arrive at the vortex, I could land at the top part of the screen in the cutscene, but once the cutscene is over, I'll end up in a completely different spot? I have a screenshot showing the difference between where I flew (based off of my trail) and where I was currently at. I could send the screenshot if need be to show what I'm trying to say

flying into the debris quest zone while holding hands breaks the handholding (also pick up does too)
and progress is individual/clientside I’d like it a lot more if progress was shared, more like a shard.. but in/under water. (I’ll drop this in feedback too just in case)

Particularly notable things from my playthroughs

• There’s nothing to lead you to chonky friend
• You don’t need to free chonky friends ()
• You might accidentally lose sight of the chonky friend even when you try to follow
• The vortex is really far away and you can’t see it until you get closer, which is another reason why I think people struggle to find it even if they fly all over Sanctuary

@frosty trout ok i just checked, no camera pan when you arrive. The one when you activate the quest shows where the vortex is but he just kinda...flies off to the side of you really fast. It says collect all the pieces but the ping from the vortex is really small because it's so far away and I only notice it now because I know where it is. Chonk is thoroughly out of sight. i guess you can sort of see the stars of the objects when you honk but I am on a little phone and they're really tiny and over the horizon 🙂

To me the most confusing was the strange movement behavior of my character. I pressed the hand (action to cleanse) icon on a debris and my Skykid was very slow. So I started to move it with directions control but it cancelled the cleansing action. I skipped a few items when I figured out I need to wait and my Skykid will/can float there
