It's not actually constant. There's red beams that cross the ground and those ones will actually pummel your skid more so as long as you're patient and observant, you can make it to the last light source at the second half without losing light once.

My advice for second half of pnr is ignore the statues and try book it to the next flame brazier first before backtracking, that way you don't need to extinguish just as you make it being distracted trying to give light to the statues

my advice is that while you wanna light the statues, you don't actually wanna stop at them ever. like actually don't stop moving at all. + only like 2 of those light spots are mostly safe, 1 of them being the second to last (behind the square pillar). better to backtrack to there to recharge and then book it right past the next one then try and recharge at the last, bc you will fail

It helped a lot at first I noticed, but over time I find it working a little less, hmm for me personally I found that I will now assess the situation before helping, I will help at least once but i have had one too many situations where a player is just going to keep putting themselves in harm's way no matter my attempts to help and guide so that has hindered me from feeling like I am helping someone every time I run to the man down sign

I asked this a bit ago but I was wanting people (one willing to be put in a crawling state and one with the manta projector) test this, one person gets extinguished and the other places the manta projector, and lights it, then activates it. I was wondering if the injured player would be able to see it or if the injured player would have to turn on the manta projector themselves.

Unfortunately nobody was willing to test this and I never got any answers regarding this, so I pretty much think as it is now the injured player needs to turn on the manta projector themselves.

It has a distance length if that makes sense, you have to be within the perimeter of it to have the lighting change /click the button etc

Hmm, I imagine if the person is placing it for a specific person, they can place it and light it near the extinguished person that way they can easily access the button/turn the mantas on, if the projector is placed decently far away however, you would need to crawl close enough to it

That's what I was thinking! For a recharge prop that really sucks, but since it changes the lighting and all, I can see why TGC decided to have it so that a person who placed it down, lights it, and then turns it on would not make it display for everyone but for the person who turned it on only.

They should probably make it so it displays for everyone, but that might cause eye strain after stepping out of the perimeter of the projector, so I'm pretty sure TGC just decided to let only the person who turned it on view it.

Yeah it caused problems actually in the first build when the people around you did not have a choice but to see the lighting change, I didn't see anyone complaining here, but I just feel if it stayed that way where everyone couldnt choose to see it or not-it would not be a well loved prop by some

This recharge prop is also probably the fastest in the game currently but only in beta and it's still subject to change, so even then it is probably useless for moths since they can't be recharged and likely won't know what the projector is unless they get close enough to it. That, and the mantas picking them up might cause the moths to jump unexpectedly in the wrong direction onto shards or oncoming rocks from Eden.

Yeah, but unlike the other fire pots you need to click on it to activate it assuming it's been lit up, and if it's not you're just SOL. This is just a recharge prop with extra unnecessary steps and future moths will have no idea what to do.

Yeah, it's more easy to go over and light the other player first, I think it could just be useful in shard events only because in Eden it can cause discomfort on the eyes, carry off moths in wrong directions, in general it's just not a good area to place it unless it's at the point of no return tunnel itself, where players won't have to worry about getting knocked off, etc.

this talk of the ult as a lighting prop really touches on my first thought when I saw it now picks you up into the air, namely that that inherently makes it useless as a lighting prop in nearly all situations you'd use it for. Like, in Eden or GW or during shards you don't wanna start uncontrollably floating in a circle I'd say. Like sure, it's faster, but at what cost

Regarding the IGC economy in this game. From what I have seen as a player since enchant, I am very unhappy to see the event and the ts timing cosmetic prices.
The TS timing is not even coincidence anymore as I have felt suspicious around the end of AURORA season, because they REPEAT the same tactic like the end of Lil Prince season. Announcing expensive ts alongside the pricy limited edition cosmetic. Or maybe with pricy event cosmetics. The props price is terrible imo. The Days of Love Arch doesn't do anything but it cost 100 candle (I know the live one hasn't started so idk the real price, but hopefully they reduce it... 😬 )

What's worse is that TGC removed the AFK candle farm. I know there will be an argument coming like "well that's how they make the game alive". Sure to make a game alive. But, we have irl stuff going on. Our life is not 100% dedicated to sky, some have school, college and job. Forcing us to farm everyday by manually controlling it will make players feel more bored bcz it's too repetitive. In the end more players will retire bcz of the burn out.

A lot of ppl has sent this feedback even the afk farm but... well... idk if they listem it or just ignore it. I only see them listening the DoRainbow pants and DoMischief cat hair. But for AFK farm, it got removed more alongside the pricier event cosmetics gets.

Sorry for my harsh words, bcz I am genuinely disappointed.

I never saw it that way, I always saw it like tgc is just raising IGC cosmetics for no reason, but it is true that a new player shouldn't be able to get everything in 2 weeks of playing, and veterans should be (somewhat) rewarded for playing for longer... now I think that the tulip cape cost it's fine...
||Especially because I like exclusive stuff that can come back but its hard to get, that is what makes them special IMO||

With this new cape, I'm not able to do that (bc of days of love, other TS, ||and the fact that I bought 2 full constelations bc I was bored||) so I started to cr 19 candles and thanks to it now I can get it with no problem.

My point is that it is expensive, but if you candle run daily, and you have been doing it for a while then it is a change that it won't affect you so much

I'll be 100% transparent, in live I currently have 950 candles, even then, having the ability to afford the 120 cape when it arrives still doesn't mean I think it's at all worth it or priced correctly - it's too much for a cape and the design is too simple to even consider parting with that amount of candles. The only reason I spent 105 on a cape last year was cause it was unique in design. Same with the 175 rainbow cape - again overpriced on a whole other level - but the colour was unique and it's the only rainbow cape in game so I needed it. I still hate that I had to spend 280 on those two capes alone and I'm not about to drop 120 on the tulip cape this year regardless of whether I can afford to now.

And talking about the game being getting draining... I just play it for fun, afterall it is meant to have fun, and relax. That's why I have 3 more accounts, I like to make each of them different, dress them different and make each of them special. You might say its a lot of "work" but if you see the game as work then you're not having fun, as long as you have fun then its all okay

No. The reason being you buy the pass for access to all cosmetics, a season pendant, an extra daily candle, and ults. You don't pay any candles for the ap locked items, they're all free so you pay max of around 100 per tree during season and end up with like 100 candles left over for conversion. When travelling spirits return the items are unlocked for everyone but they have to pay igc for the items you got for free. So instead of having a 100 tree they're forking out usually around 150+ (not including the earlier trees which are less expensive). You also no longer have access to ult items or the season pendant.

My moth stage was really brief as I grew thanks to the wiki, so I can't relate to much to it... but I remember being a moth, and see all players with a lot of cool cosmetics, and then there was I, 2 weeks in game and still looking like when I started, it didn't feel good, but what I did feel great, was when I was able to start collecting things I wanted, like for example the white cape... it cost hearts, I wouldn't have gotten it if I didn't make friends that was there for me, and the wait allowed me to know more about my friends... I know a lot of people have friends just to send and recive hearts from the star and that's it, but in my case I remember spending a while with each one of them and having fun together... my hearts wasn't exchanged, but it was a gift for having fun together

Nowadays I can't spend a lot of time with everyone as my friend list have grown non stop, and its really hard for me to be with everyone, but I always try to hangout with most of them

My point is that getting cosmetics can be grindy, but in a game where the main point is being relaxed, you need a little trouble to then feel peace... because if you lived in a world with no problems at all, then you wouldn't be able to feel in calm anyway, you need something to contrast emotions, that way they're stronger

I see what you mean, but in my experience with my other accs (the new one was made half- days of feast) I haven't had trouble making it get cosmetics... I got plenty from days of feast and I also got all traveling spirits fron that time... so I think the game keeps being new player friendly in terms of cosmetics if you know what you're doing, ofc wasting all your candles to emotes or buying all hearts fron old questgivers will drain you candles, but if you know what you want then it's not a problem

(Also I would like to remind you that new players get rewarded 1 candke for each spirit they relive from a constelation, so in their first day they can get up to 70 candles)

This made me want to do a sky style dnd sesh

Like, each area could have tasks for the spirits and the winged lights, and you'd need a certain amount of tasks done to enter the elder temple. Winged light tasks would be easier, help them find their lost family or find the way home, and give a little wing power each completed task, and spirits would need bigger tasks done like collect crab(meat)s or "combat the darkness" by lighting dark plants. Each plant has a certain roll that needs to be achieved or the candle extinguishes. Certain spirit tasks would also give candles, which could be used for "upgrades" in home, like an umbrella for forest rain (it would do like 1 dmg each turn without it) or whatnot

This kinda sounds fun and I literally just came up with it all on the spot

Although in gw probably my most memorable stuffs are when pre-memory candles implementation, some strangers deep called to recharge me and others when doing krill tag. Quite wholesome

Shield masks give you knockback resistance to red crab attacks so you can just keep going like no one's business (though this may be the forest one in particular, that one has a higher protective level than the others)

I think I'll stay with forest elder mask for a while even if the rest of elder masks gets implemented. The 250AC scarred me for life. Won't buy another shield for a while

Oooh u made me remember, I learned that the mask works even if u have a mask spell on, the other day a friend wanted to krill me (cuz I lost a bet)
So I wore the elder mask and I used a mask spell, so he placed me at the door in the last part of GW (so if I got krilled the door closes and cant get my wing back)
The krill spotted me, goes to me and... the mask did his thing :3

There are currently 3 elder masks:
Dawn mask, Prairie mask, and Forest mask... those masks are obtainable once you complete the full constelation and you get them by visiting the elder in orbit, and after buying their hair, those masks protects you from a krill hit, rocks in eden, crabs hits, and shards damage, once they recived a certain amkunt of damage, they break... to fix them or "bless" them again you have to visit the elder either in orbit or at the temple of the respective elder
